Had checked before we travelled so we knew we had to pick up keys from the Caribe however we did have a bit ov difficulty finding our block. Once we got settled we were more than pleased with location and apt was good value for what we had paid. Kitchen facilities were OK - we were able to cook a full english.Easy walkin distance to Veronicas and not much further to the Patch. Mercadona in St Eugenio is walking distance (stop for a drink). All in al very good value - going back for Xmas and New Year

Nightmare holiday

On arrival at midnight we were greeted by some of the guests calling out, you dont know what you havel let yourselves in for. The first morning at 05.00 the noise from other guests was totally unacceptable and by 05.30 the police had been called and had lined about ten youths spreadeagled along a wall.I used the toaster which fused all our lights and had to wait four hours and two visits to reception to get it replaced. The staff to say were ignorant would be an understatement.
The room was clean but needed updating. Door security left a lot to be desired.
Poolside bar never opened all week.
Road and pavement work went on the whole week and it was like walking through a building site.
Complained to our tour operator Future Travel who after three letters finally offered us £50.00 compensation when we book our next holiday through them ( ha ha ), Their money is quite safe.

Paraiso del sol was a horrible hotel. At our room both the front door and balcony locks were broken, some very large cocroaches and many smaller, the kitchen was infested with ants and generally the room was quite dirty even though it was cleaned daily. The cleaners did not clean under the beds.
These problems could be attended to but the answer was "we fix tomorrow" and nothing happened. After four days we were moved to another hotel and we did not regret at all.

Just arrived back after a one night...

Just arrived back after a one night stay in the hotel, it was only one night as we moved hotels as soon as we could. While staying there the was ants in the kettle, on the fridge and they also invaded my partners handbag and luggage. it was absoluetly digusting!! there was also several cockroaches that we seen in the one night. two of which guarding the front door, this was the only kind of safety that might of been any good, as the other safety mechanism was a steal pole to stop the patio doors sliding all the way open for the burgular and gave them just a foot to get in through. the was no lock on the door and could be slid open from the outside. back to the cockroaches one of which had been killed outside the door and the cleaners cleaned around it so we could see it when we left (if there were cleaners). Anyway just avoid this place at all costs its a hell hole and the least safest place i have ever seen. if you do go there i recommend the coral beach hotel to move to its was a decent hotel because you wont want to stay in this hotel very long!!!!!

we stayed in these apartments for 10 days in august. like other guests we were a bit concerned as to what they would be like after reading the reviews. however after arriving we were shown to a ground floor apartment, we had requested a top floor, however the staff were only to happy to change our apartment when we asked. we found them very pleasant and helpful especially alex and miguelle who helped us out off a real dilemma when we were ripped off with a camera in puerto colon [once again many thanks you two if you read this] don,t know what we would have done without you! we were very happy with our stay in paraiso del sol, the apartments were basic, but a fan and safe and tv etc can be hired from reception if required. the apartments are clean and towels etc are renewed at least 5 times a week. we did,nt, i,m happy to say see one single cockroache, however we did have a bit of a problem with ants, but no more than you can expect in tenerife. all in all we were happy enough with the apartments and the location. maintenance were also quick to sort any faults with the apartments. if we do go back to tenerife in the future we would be happy enough to stay in pariaso del sol

we got to the hotel in the early hours of the morning and were given the keys to a downstairs rooom when we requested an upstairs one. when we got to the room we found a cockroach on the wall!. went to reception and asked for an upper floor, the staff were only to happy to help and changed the room.
The rooms were clean and they were cleaned every other day, sometimes everyday. towels were changed about 5 times a week.
We found the hotel to be very quiet, especially as there was alot of young people staying there.
The hotel was very well situated for all the bars and resturants, with the beach also a 5 minute walk away.
All in all we would happily stay there again.

After reading the other comments i was feeling confident about staying at the paradero, however when we got there i was shocked.
Unlike some, we were dropped outside the reception so we didnt have to do the long walk around. We were given room 009 which is in the paradero 2 complex. We got to our room which was quite far from reception and saw a basic room which i did not mind at all. the beds were comfortable and it was quite a big room so i was happy. We went to the nearest swimming pool which was nice and had a nice day by the pool, showered, and had a nice dinner at one of the resturants.
But then when we went back to our apartment, we found FOUR cockroaches running around all over the kitchen! We tried to get them out but finally had to give up and reluctantly went to go to sleep. Then we heared fighting outside our room, screaming and shouting went on for 10minutes and no security guards were anywhere in sight. The gate to lock the apartments off to the public (which was outside our room) was not locked once during the whole week we stayed. We were afraid to leave our room, but when we did we went straight to reception and asked to have our room changed. They told us there was nothing they could do and it was to be expected from a 2KEY...now we were told this was a 3STAR so we were disgusted! I was really uspet and me and my boyfriend just wanted to go home then and there, as it didnt feel safe or clean in that room.
In the morning we found a dead cockroach and hundreds of small white insects eating it! They were all over the room and coming out of the walls! We packed straight away and demanded another room else where. We were given another room 156G which is near the main pool by reception. This room was alot better however we were kept up in the night by singing and blasting music from the next hotel.
Another problem was the cleanliness of the pool. The smallest pool for babies, had glass in one day, and was still there for the next 5days despite complaints from parents whose children had been cut.
The staff at the pool side were nice and the entertainment each night was good, however i would not stay in this hotel again and would not reaccomend it to anyone. The paradero 1 complex is supposedly better than the paradero 2, however i would still not take he risk.

well after reading the mixed reviews me and my friends weren't expecting anything too nice, but we were pleasently suprised! our room had a really big balcony that overlooked everything.. it was so nice. the room was on the 3rd floor so although we hated the steps.. it meant we didnt discover 1 cockroach in the apartment. we did find some things go missing however- even though we got a safe.. and the tap did seem to spray everywhere (to wash up) but apart from that it was very impressive.
the pools were nice- there is one quiet one and another pool which is noisier. i would definately reccomend it if you have a room like ours. the bar sold nice food too. The apartments were situated only 5 mins from the beach and the veronica strip. definatly reccmoend it to young teens out for fun! i loved it!! unreal holiday and the weather was absolutely gorgeous everyday :)

Jul 2008, Mr P Hurst

We stayed 2 weeks.
- Hotel old and dirty. Needs of refurbishment
- Expensive drinks
- 1st week Entertainment was poor with a German Entertainer. Awfull, no shows advised, no Kid's Club. Only interest of the Entertainer : Selling an evening meal, and talking to the young ladies.
- 2nd week Entertainment was amazing. The entertainer is a girl from Bristol. Her name is Corrinna, we met her few years ago at the Compostela Beach Resort. She is the best. Good Kids Club, good night time shows, bingos, quiz, everybody get together (young, families etc...). Good atmosphere. She saved our holiday.
The rest of the hotel is very poor.
Best: Corrinna (entertainer) and Marcos(Reception).
Worst: The rest..especially the german entertainer.
