We had a great time, plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, no drunk kids or time share touts. No beach though but the pool terraces were a sun trap. Good golf course but near to the airport flight path - not that, that was a problem for us. We have booked to go again.
The apartment had plenty of room and well cared for. There is a car park at the end of the complex if you hired a car as we did. Do not park illegally as the local cops are quick to slap a ticket on you.

We booked via the Internet from the owner. I telephoned him to ask about the facilities. The apartments that are privately owned are to a much higher standard than ones used by holiday companies.

The complex is really a nice looking group of apartments with a swimming pool. It is not a hotel. The apartment over looked the pool with a view out to sea and caught the sun. The pool was not noisy.

The Golf course next door needs booking in advance. The local centre is next door but far enough away so that it is not in the way. It has a varied range of restaurants including a Peruvian. Prices were a little bit more expensive than Las Americas. If you want good but cheap food hire a car and head for the hills! I also recommend the fish restaurants in Los Abrigos next door, we followed the owner’s advice and avoided the ones by the harbour and went around the back - cheap and good.

It was an excellent break. One word of advice though depending on the wind direction the whole area is on the flight path to the airport but we soon got used to the noise.

" This was a last minute booking - well... "

This was a last minute booking - well 2 weeks before. We booked the accommodation direct from the owners. It was fairly easy - we checked out flights from Manchester via Monarch on line, then contacted the owners. We paid via direct by our Internet banking.
The Sand Club appears to be an ex time share resort which mainly owned outright. No reps. Our Apartment was away from the pool about 200 metres. The Site was very quiet - we were told it was because it was May just before the main season. The Pool has a bar, which also sells snacks.
The apartment was ground floor and nicely furnished with a double bed. This is unusual for Tenerife but welcome, my wife and I don’t like single beds. We will admit this was a big plus.
The Kitchen didn’t have an oven just a hob, toaster kettle and microwave. Not that we would have used it. The terrace has pumice stone garden, which looks unusual and a bit barren. But it catches the heat and kept the area warmer at night than it would have been.
The complex was being repainted at the time but you hardly noticed the workmen.
We last came to this area was 5 years ago and we were surprised this time how the local (3 minutes walk!) commercial centre has developed. Gone are empty units - its now full of bars and restaurants. But it is not noisy. The supermarket - Netto is well stocked but apart from breakfast stuff, wine & beer, we didn’t need it. Around Golf del sur there are plenty of Bars and Restaurants - so we did not need to go into Los Cristanos like we did last time. The short walk to Los Abridgos and it’s fish restaurants is worth doing.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go back.
A word of caution though the area is on the flight path to the airport and there is a lot of aircraft noise on Tuesdays and probably Fridays - it was our changeover day so we making an educated guess. But then again what do you expect when your are only 10 minutes from the Airport

The complex is very quiet which we enjoyed and there is no fighting for sun beds as there are plenty available at any time of the day.
The San Blas squares which are a just across the road have plenty restaurants and bars although there is no entertainment for the kids except two pool tables. Most of the restaurants are English run but there are also Chinese, Italian etc. I would strongly recommend you do not eat at the Indian Buffet next to the San Blas Tavern at the top end of the square as we watched in horror at how they cleaned the place and also the bar area is full of empty dirty dishes and all sorts.
If you are after a relaxing quiet holiday then this is the place but if you want a laugh and some fun I would recommend you take some company with you which we have done on all occasions and love it.
