Have literaly just returned from Marmaris with my partner. We went for 11 nights and had never been to Turkey before.
Apartment rooms are basic but cleaned and maintained everyday by maids-which is rare!
2 pools but we spent most of the holiday at the pool near the bar/restaurant.
Have never spent much time at the hotel on previous holidays, but did here. The reasons:
great pool -which refreshed you better than a pint of Efes!
Amazing food and all reasonabley priced especially for the high quality- which included breakfast, dinners, lunch-we went self catering. Being a picky english man-there was never anything at fault.
The final reason is the staff-or better still the friends we made there. Ali,Samir, his girlfriend Becky, Volkan and all the others. They were amazing and made it the best holiday ever.
Also the great british people we met there as well-Rita, Bill, Alex, Alan, Mags,Brian, the lovely Aberdeen scottish couple and the people from Liverpool, all made this first turkish experience a life long memory.
We will be back!

The Albatros Appts. are a really great place to stay! very clean, cleaner comes in every day and provides clean towels etc if you need them. we had a one bedroom appt. bedroom had 2 beds and living area had 2 single sofa beds. small kitchen with basic s/c equipment, kettle, 2 ring hob, fridge/freezer. air conditioning and safety deposit box is extra charge but worth it. clean bathroom with lovely power shower.
good sized swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds, hotel staff are the best!! they are really friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble. They have kids disco in the evening although us adults always got up too! Some nights different entertainment acts came in. Every tues they have a turkish bbq night which is great lovely food and entertainment well worth doing. Some nights we ate in hotel and food was lovely,lots of places to eat on beach front which is just a 10 min walk. For a family of four you can eat out for around £30 - £40 incl a couple of drinks. Hotel is not in a noisy area which was good. if you want to book any trips go to Sunny and James just round the corner they are the best! we did turkish bath for £6 each a boat trip which incl. food and drinks for £10 each and the best trip was jeep safari which incl food for £10 each.
This was our first time in Turkey and we can't wait to go back. we will definately be booking albatros appts again!!

Before going on my holiday to marmaris i read up on reviews from lots of hotels and most of them were bad reviews, the albatros had the best reviews out of the lot so i went for this one........
We arrived to the albatros apartment at 6am and was greated by a very pleasent man and taken to our room, my first impression of the hotel and the staff was very good
we had few hrs sleep and then went for a walk about to meet people and look around, the hotel is kept very clean, rooms were cleaned every day and our bedding was changed every day which was alot more than we expected, the staff at this hotel couldnt be more helpful
The pool is a nice size and kept clean, i would say the oly downful about the pool is people are allowed to keep towels on the beds from the night before so if ur to late in gettin down there u wont get a bed, this didnt end up being a problem for us as we went out and used other pools for a change and went to our own pool late afernoon
The beach is only A 10-15 min walk from the hotel and we did this 2 or 3 times a day or a taxi is only 3 lira, the bars along the beach front are excellent and entertaining for all ages.
I will definately be returning to marmaris next yr and will be staying in the albatros again, its a quiet hotel with not much going on in the evening but if ur looking for a simple clean and pleasent hotel to saty in then this is exactly wat u want, the night life isnt to far if u want is but its far anough away if u dont...............................perfect, loved it and sad to be home

Great accommodation I would recommend to anyone; great for families, couples or groups of friends. Basic apartments but spacious and always clean. Very clean bathroom, one bedroom and launch/kitchen(with fridge, kettle and small cooker). Every Tuesday 'Turkish Night' with yummy B&Q and traditional entertainment.

You can choose whether you want to stay be the swimming pool (large and clean with numerous sun beds) or go to the beach. Beach is only 15 min of slow walk away and if you don't feel like walking you can take one of the local buses.
Great location for the nightlife, 15 min away from the beach clubs with various clubs for the younger generation or 25 min walk to the 'Bar Street'.
Family run business, very friendly staff always happy to help.

You could say im a bit of a snob when it comes to going on holiday. I like a good established clean hotel. Well what can i say the Albatros is the place to be. It is a family run hotel that is based within the armutalan area of marmaris that has many swimming pools and is exceptionally clean both room and hotel in general. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and provides good entertainment each night to cater for all ages. It serves good quality food all day at very reasonable prices as well as refreshments and ice creams for the little ones. The staff and owners are very helpful and friendly and make you feel at home. I have travelled to turkey a couple of times now and have stayed at different hotels and i can say with a 100% confidence that the Albatros is one of the nicest hotels in Marmaris. I am returning to turkey again very shortly and I will book no other than the Albatros.

this is an excellent hotel family ran 15 mins walk to the beach front the hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious i would reccomend this hotel to anyone the pools are large and the is also a good size baby pool the staff are great especially volkan and bryan with a y.

The Albatros is full of chavvy minks! They spent theyre whole time smoking and drinking around the pool, one morning i found a condom in the swimming pool! How disgusting. The apartment is small and crampt and very very dirty! i do not understand how it was ment for 5 people, there was only 3 of us and there was no space!!!
I hated the albatros and thank fully moved!
It is about a 30 minute walk to any clubs and the beach, which is far to far to walk in the turkish heat. The men are all sleazy and there is prostitutes everywhere. You really dont feel safe walking back from the clubs at night because its so far! If you are in any way normal and dont fancy being in a sleazy area far away from everything then dont stay here!!!!!

Myself and my family (there was 18 of us there !!) all stayed at the albatros apartments for 2 weeks , it was lovely , nice , very very friendly staff , very clean , never went to the beach but the local shops and bars were not that far away about 5 minuites walking distance....
We booked all our trips with sunny james and junior just up the street from the apartments they were lovely and very helpful to us !! i went out with junior for the 2 weeks i was there !! xx
Anyway the overall holiday was fabulous and i recommend it to absalotly anyone soo book up and goooooo !!!

Rainbow fun bar was fabualous and i loved it i dated in there !! it was fab and i am alll bokked up for going next year !! cant wait
