We arrived to the resort on a luxurious yacht and there were the resort's friendly and well trained staff to greet us. Our 24 hrs on call butler washed our feet with scented oils when we entered our villa. The villa was fabulous. We stayed in a Beach Villa with pool. They had chosen materials very carefully to be modern and luxurious and to capture the natural beauty of the island. The island is huge in size and yet they have only built 130 villas here. Although there were over 250+ guests on the island, we could've remained unseen to anyone because of the distance between rooms and the vegetation. The beaches were the most amazing thing you would ever see.
The food was good in all 3 restaurants they had but the Fanditha restaurant is really something at sunset. You sit on the floor on Persian carpets and cushions on the beach itself with hubby bubbly and great food and drinks. They have entertainment there on a daily basis with live bands and music. The name says it all, magical! (Fanditha means Magic in Maldivian)
The Spa area is huge and the therapists are like miracle workers. Me and my wife had a massage everyday there. The diving school is very well staffed and organised as well. My wife did her open water scuba diving course and I went on a few dives myself as I am a dive master. They take you to good location nearby on very good divboats, the best I've seen in Maldives so far.
We were surprised to see a few kids at the resort. Normally they could get in your way but not here. Seems they have professional babysitters at the Kids Only Club there. They take the kids on separate fishing trips and grill fish for them if the parents wanted to. Also they teach them theatre and perform dramas! Nice idea! I wont leave my kid with their grandparents next time I go to Reethi Rah, will take them too!
This is definitely the MUST go place in Maldives (if not the World!). Truly a dream. You will not regret spending one dime here!
