This large Maldivian island lies approximately three kilometres north of the captial, Male. It was the first resort to open in the Maldives and offers a sophisticated atmosphere and luxurious accommodation. It is reached by a 10 minute speedboat transfer from the airport.

We went to Kurumba on honeymoon in October 2006. It was a fairly last-minute decision and we were not disappointed.
