Truly paradise. Our 2 teenage daughters and us had 2 interconnecting beach cottages on the west side. The rooms were clean. The beach excellent and we loved the outdoor showers. The food was excellent though the dining area was hot in the afternoon. The staff was pleasant and helpful. You are alloted a fixed table and waiter for your entire stay. Cool. The colour of your table card indicates your meal plan. Meal times are fixed in the main restaurant. Ecellent water sport facilities. Nice new boats.

What a holiday! From the minute you step off the plane and onto the speedboat, you just know you have arrived in paradise. I was so taken a back when we arrived on the island, pictures just don’t do this place justice!
Food was fantastic and always a great variety, brilliant service, and everyone very friendly and welcoming. Although we were all inclusive for the week, we tried the Italian restaurant at the end of the jetty (not all inclusive), and we loved it so much that we ended up eating there 3 times! As you sit eating your dinner, you can watch all the underwater life, sharks, rays and amazing fish swim by beneath you, and you can feed them over the edge. Fantastic!
We have been back home only 7 months, and I still can’t stop reminiscing about our amazing trip to Paradise Island Resort. We have both said we would definitely return. The Maldives impressed us so much though that we are returning in 2 months, we are visiting other islands to see what else the Maldives can offer us, we just hope they can live up to Paradise Island!

Wow! What a holiday, loved every minute of it. Arrived by speed boat which took 20 mins just right after a long haul flight!
We are a young couple of 23 & 19 and thought we would be bored of a evening as we are used to clubbing etc. but the evening was spent in the lovely restaurants and in the beach bars, which suited the holiday perfectly!
We spent the day’s snorkelling, diving, doing watersport & sunbathing! Definitely recommend the diving we saw so much, the colours were amazing! The staff were lovely and we still email some members of staff. I would love to go back and am in the process of saving! Most amazing place I've ever seen!

Although the ocean and beach are beautiful the rest of the resort leaves much to be desired.
The rooms are very basic and customer service is poor. The amount of money spent should make it a very high end resort but it does not achieve this.
The worst part is that after they have your money they do not care about you at all. You are just a number and they try to get as much money out of you as they can.
I am sure there are much better resorts in the Maldives!

Lovely Island with a short transfer from Male airport by speedboat. Good food, friendly staff and a wide range of activities and facilities that suit many different types of holiday maker.
We enjoyed the mixed atmosphere created by having couples, families, and people stopping of on transfers and individuals who were there to get away from it all.
The bungalows are a good size and clean, the plants are arranged around them in a way that makes you feel that you have your own private beach when you look out the windows.
From the beach the plants provide a screen offering privacy to the bungalow occupants and adding to the desert island feel.
We dived with Delphis diving on the house reef and enjoyed seeing a shoal of parrot fish, a striped lobster, a turtle and many other fish in one dive. Numerous snorkelers took advantage of the good visibility and conditions that we had to view the sea life from the surface.
The main restaurant offers buffet style food that is of a very high quality and the Christmas Eve gala dinner was a superb feast with exotic carvings in fruit and made of butter on display.
We left the island feeling refreshed and totally relaxed.

This is a nice hotel, but I’m quite sure there are nicer. We stayed for one week after going to Sri Lanka for 2 week to get married. We stayed in a water bungalow which was lovely! It looks right out onto the sea and you have your own private terrace, which has access to the sea.
The only down is there are very minimal coral patches in the sea surrounding the bungalows so the only fish are "passers by" really. There is a lovely choice of food there, something for everyone and you sit at your own designated table every meal time so there is always somewhere to sit! The staff are a bit arrogant and rude but this may just be that they were just not as friendly as the staff in Sri Lanka.
The alcoholic drinks are only served at set times during the day, which can be annoying, but on the plus side they are branded drinks on all inclusive, not local. We would go back to this hotel, but only because the water bungalows are much cheaper than on other islands.
Top tips:
1) If going from the water bungalows to breakfast always where shoes!! Even though the wooden jetties are cold when you go to breakfast, by the time you have come back they are too scorching to stand on bear foot, so you get stuck!
2) When booking you holiday through an operator book the lowest board basis possible and pay the hotel direct to upgrade to all inc, its much cheaper!

Paradise Island is a family favourite resort. I have visited this resort with my parents three times. As you arrive at the resort via speedboat (approximately 20 minutes from Male) you feel a million miles away from the nine to five world. It is the perfect place to park up and chill out.
It has various types of accommodation from breach bungalow to water villas. It also has many different restaurants to be honest my favourite is the main central restaurant where buffet style meals are provided. The meals vary from traditional European to worldwide cruise. I have to say the sweets are a particular favourite of mine!
The staff are always so welcoming and can not do enough for you. I only go on holiday once a year and I am always counting down the days to the next time I can visit the resort. I can honestly say it is the perfect no news, no shoes island with fabulous beaches and crystal clear waters. Even a non diver like me can enjoy watching the fabulous array of wonderfully coloured fish in the warm water.
I can not praise this resort enough and would feel confident in recommending it to anyone as I have on several occasions to my work colleagues who have visited the Maldives. It may just be drop in the Indian Ocean but is a real find.

I choose Paradise Island in the North Male Atol in the Maldives for a birthday present for my girlfriend. We have on been on several exotic holidays but this was the most beautiful place we have ever seen and stayed. Probably ever likely to see. When we arrived it was around 9.00a.m and the sea was like a pond. We had a speed boat take us to our Island, which skimmed across the Indian Ocean in approximately 15 minutes. What a way to arrive at your destination......
My girlfriend had tears in her eyes has we walked down the Jetty towards the Island. Breath-taking..... Simply perfection all around. The sea so clear the fish so colourful.
Our break lasted 15 days, 15 days of fantastic sunshine. We went in April (warmest month of the Year for the Maldives) some days to warm to take part in activities but great to dive amongst all the coral.
I could sit and write pages on the Maldives. We Island hopped. Visited inhabited Islands and other Hotels. We took part in Night Fishing and several diving trips. The people and food could not have been better. The people kind and very genuine. The variety of food - Outstanding.
The initial cost of the trip to the Maldives was pricey, and upon booking I did hope for some mind blowing sights...
The Maldives did not disappoint. From our wooden hut sat 100 yards into the Indian Ocean to the smooth travelling to and from the U.K.
I could say I decided upon Paradise Island due to its name
But it lived up to it and five times over.
The perfect break and one I will personally never forget....

Absolutely fantastic. We only went for 1 week as we were unsure about the entertainment on a night. We wish we had gone for 2 weeks though as the entertainment was quite good. Hermit crab racing on the first night was a giggle. The food is out of this world, the buffet restaurant has a huge selection, something for everyone. They serve fabulous curries which is right up my street!
Upgrade to all inclusive if you can because the drinks are quite pricey, $4 for a bottle of water and $3 for a beer, which soon adds up. You just sign for everything you order and have to pay at the end of the holiday. The snorkelling is marvellous. We didn't dive but wish I had. Included in all inclusive has night fishing and a trip to another island. We only did the night fishing which was brilliant. I would highly recommend this island the staff are so professional and friendly. Take small notes $ bills to tip the staff, who deserve it.
We had a brilliant holiday and will definitely be going back.

Wow me and my wife have just returned from a week of pure bliss, I have nothing but good things to say about this island from the food to the staff to how clean the hole island is. We found the island had everything, you could relax on your own on the beach and think it was just you on your own little island. The food was out of this world every night it was fresh and different. i would just like to say thank ou to everyone on the island for making it the best holiday ever.
