Sol Y Vera Apartments

A group of friends and myself stayed at the Solyvera appartments 2 weeks ago and i must say what a brilliant location and appartments!!! Just around the corner from BCM's and only a 10 minute drive into Palma, with just a 2 minute walk to the beach.
The appartments were central and staff were always on hand for help about the area. The appartments them selves were clean and adequate and all in good working order.
I will be revisiting Solyvera next year and hope my stay was as good as the first time. Great value for money!!!

Booked in 2 June 2011. The Apartments ok staff very helpfull. But it was full of drunken Foul mouth louts aged from 16 to 50 we could not use the small pool or sun terrace because of them. Will never go again.
But if this is your thing it's the place for you.

checked in and got put on the 9th floor.... origionaly we booked and asked for a low floor (so we dont have to stumble up when pissed) went back down and asked them for a low floor to which we got put on thew 1st floor...SORTED i thought...2 days into it 2 groups of roudy lads next door... wont too bad because its only a bed to sleep in right?.
didnt have no problems at all apart from bed sheets didnt get changed once and we had to ask for fresh towells once but then after that we got em every day. staff real friendly apart from the old man security guard... must have had a problem with me comming in at 5am in a morning LOL
god hotel for like minded young people... not recomended for the older generation. loved it that much weve booked for next year..... go to suzies and have a breakfast its ace (below the hotel)

Just came back from a week in these apartments. They are in a good location, just a few minutes walk from BCM which is just up the road. Local pub Jokers beside it is great. The Strip is only 5 minutes away, as is the beach.
The room itself was big enough, and also basic and clean, also the balcony was a good size. Susies bar is the poolside bar and was good for cheap food and drink. The pool was a decent size, and there's a separate part to lie on loungers if you just want to get a tan without going near the pool.
When we arrived, we went into reception by the main front area where there's about 15 steps which we trailed our cases up, but we realised there's a ramp round the other side which leads up to reception too, so it's better to use that when you first arrive.
The only negative thing I have to say about the apartment complex is that it can be quite noisy and rowdy at night-time. I had about 2-3 good nights sleep out of the whole week, it's definitely a young and lively place. I wouldn't say it's a place for kids to stay, and also I quite like my sleep at night so peace and quiet is important. Apart from that, I can't really say anything else bad about it.

Me and 2 other friends stayed in Sol Y Vera for 10 days. It was mine and my friends first girlie holiday away. The Sol Y Vera was perfect. The rooms are Big and Basic, but very good value for money. As we went self catering we got a kitchenette in are apartment. The rooms came with 2 fans that plugged in and the beds were comfortable. Me and my friend stayed in 1 room and my other friend stayed in the pull out sofa in the living room. The view from the apartment was brilliant as we got the strip view. The staff were very friendly, although the man on the reception took are passports and kept them overnight which we were worried about but we got them back the next morning. There is a safety deposit box in your room and comes with 1 key. This was 25 Euro's. So Cheap. The hotel is located right on the strip and is a 5 minute walk from the beach and a 30 second walk to the nearest bar. The we place underneath 'Susies' Is amazing for cheap food and is the best hangover cue, 'Susies' leads of the pool as well so easy access. The bars and food are so cheap, as we only brought 400 Euro's and spend just over half of it and we partied every night. Pub crawls are the best. We stayed on the second floor of the hotel, which was great coming home from a night out as we didnt have to walk far. The lift looks scary and small. but its dead on. The pool was small, But i loved it! The craic round the pool was amazing because it was so small it was easy to mingle and meet new people. There is also plugs down round the pool, people brought there iPods down round the pool, so there was never a dull moment. I am now looking to book Sol Y Vera Again for next year! Stay there. You wont regret it!! :)

one thing let this place down - no security
other holiday makers blasting music till early hours - everynight someone kicking a door in that had been locked out - couples arguing - you need to be blottoed every night not to hear the noise and leave passports with reception till u go home as safes are not properly bolted to the walls and theft is a huge problem in magaluf

Went to magaluf monday 24th may, for my 30th. the apartment was basic but for the price, was brilliant.
all the bars & restaurants were in easy reach. Spent most nites on "the strip" and having a few nightcaps in benny hills, linekers & rambo's.

Omg i had a brilliant time in Magaluf. Me and two friends went and stayed in Sol Y Vera or soil yer vera haha. It was really clean the only problem was we had to go to the reception to ask for towels and toilet paper. The location is great its only mins away from the beach and bcm. try the kit kat ice cream its amazing lol. The pool is very small and basic but clean, most of the people around the pool are young and ignorant but a stag group came and made our holiday!! Sol Y Vera is well worth the money!!

Belinda karen linda mollie and christine all stayed in sol y vera.what can i say we had a brill time..apartments where big, we had a sea veiw which was great..the pool was great.. we had a laugh around it.. the beach is 5 mins walk. but if u had my mate karen with u it took 20 mins lol..bless her she hurt her foot first nite there..2 many vods karen..lol. yes sol is a young party place..we r 40+ lol and we all enjoyed every min of it...susies bar below is brill 4 food..do eat there.. there is a spar also u can get anything u need..just want 2 say hi 2 the golfers we meet from oxford..we really enjoyed ur company..and 2 paul hope u enjoyed ur skinny dippin..it was great meetin u,s...bye 4 now and hopefully i will b there next year sometime...if u,s would like any more info on trip my email is mckinney844@btinternet.com

I went as a group of girls in July and had an absolutely amazing time! The hotel met all our needs; it was really close to the beach and all the bars! Definitely recommend Mambo's ar by the beach, its so laid back and you meet so many nice, radom people! The hotel staff were all really helpful, especially Andreas, who sits in reception all night waiting to let you in your rooms if you lose your key ;) the pool was great too, especially Susie's bar which sells amazing cheap food! Perfect to cure a hangover :p I would definitely stay there again as i met so many really cool people! If you're just looking for somewhre cheap and in the centre of everything, than this is it!
