This was our first time in Corfu and having seen the reviews here, were expecting a great holiday - we were not disappointed! The apartments were lovely - clean, bright and a swimming pool not next to the road (which seemed to be the 'norm' in Sidari). Billy, TJ and Valentino were very welcoming and made our holiday. We will definately be back!
The apartments were swept and mopped every day and the towels changed after 3 days - we couldn't have faulted the cleanliness. We did not find we needed any air conditioning as the room was always cool. Whilst the apartments are about 20 mins walk out of Sidari (which we did most days without any difficulty), this is exactly what we wanted. This way you can choose whether to go in for the busy nightlife or not. To be honest, after having our meals in the evening, I was more than happy to get back to the quiet of the Andromeda.
The Sunset Beach at Peroulades is spectactular - I have not visited a more beautiful beach on any of my previous holidays. The beach and water was clean and the view gorgeous. I highly recommend a visit to the Panorama restaurant here, with great food and an even better sunset. One of my lasting memories. Bikolis, as stated in other reviews, is also well worth a visit and is less than 5 mins walk from the apartments.
I have already recommended these apartments to a friend and would have no problems recommending anyone else.

My husband and I have just returned from these apartments in Sidari. Wer were very disappointed with them and will not be going there again. We arrived at the hotel after 13 hours of travel to be greated by a lovely young man offering cake and juice and advising us thast his boss would be with us in a few minutes. After approx. five minutes we were greeted by 'Billy'. He announced that our room would be ready in about 15 mimnutes - this is not good when you have been up since 2.30am and just want to relax! Eventually we were taken to our room - very clean, bright and tidy. On looking around the kitchen area we noticed that there was only one plate, one steak knife and no utensils for cooking, ie fish slice, wooden spoon etc. pretty bad for a self-catering apartment. That evening we both had showers before going out and noticed that the water from the shower was not going down the drain in the middle of the bathroom floor but lying stagnant in the corner of the bathroom. We spoke to Billy and he said there was nothing he could do about it - we asked him for a mop so that we could mop the floor ourselves after each shower so as not to trapse water all the way through the studio. A mop and bucket did eventually turn up but the mop wouldn't fit in the wringer of the bucket and so was of no use to us. We just had to learn to live with it. We were advised (by Billy) after four days of having the same towels that they were changed every three days - not true, we had to pile ours in a heap on the flooer after the eighth day of being there in order to get them changed along with the pillowcases that were not changed with the sheets after one week! We still had to complain further (one afternoon after a very hot day) when our bath mat that got incredibly wet and musty very quickly, due to the problem with the water on the bathroom floor wasn't changed after one week of being there! Billy said he would deal with it immediatley - there was a new one in the room the next day when we got back from the beach!
We are a couple in our mid- forties who like to explore the area in which we are staying and did just that. we have the impression that if you did not drink with Billy in his bar, he was not really interested in getting to know you or help you.
We made great friends with George who owned the Orchard Restaurant - very nice man and Dan who served us our drinks in the Amadeus Bar in town. Their prices were reasonable - unlike Billys.
These people and others in the bars and restaurants in the town made our holiday - one that we felt was going to be a disaster as soon as we arrived at the Andromeda Hotel. A very nice island, beautiful weather and friendly people almost everywhere. We would go back to Sidari again but never to the Andromeda and I would not recommend it to anyone unless you like to travel from your room to the bar on site and drink expensive beer!
Just for the record, we have never felt the need to complain about a holiday/room before and were embarrassed to have to do so on this occasion, but we feel other people need to know how this could have spoilt our holiday if we were to let it.

The hotel really is lovely, it is clean and all the staff are very welcoming. The walk to Sidari is quite far, but thats the beauty of this hotel, it's nice to be able to escape the hustle and bustle of the main town Sidari when you come back to the hotel and unlike many of the other hotels the pool isn't on the main road and you're not in view of everyone else. If you're prepared for the walk it isn't a problem, the peacefulness of the hotel is worth the long stroll into Sidari. The pool is lovely and clean and all the sunbeds are alot more comfortable than a lot of places, there were a few wasps, but they weren't aggressive and any incidents (only 1) of stinging i saw was through treading on the wasps. The bar is also immaculately clean and tidy and the service is excellent and they will cater for your every need. Although the air conditioning is expensive we did not find a need to use it, the rooms stay cool if you leave the curtains closed and if you're not on the bottom floor you can easily leave your balcony doors open. We were on the bottom floor, and although we didn't really want to leave the doors open we never found our room overly hot. We had a fantastic time, and can't wait to go back. If you want a peaceful and relaxing holiday then the andromeda is definately for you. Having said that, there is always the option of going into sidari for the nightlife or hiring a car and exploring the island, the excursions that are put on by the many tour agencys are also worth doing. Corfu is beautiful island and the andromeda really does it proud. Thanks to Billy and all his family and staff for a wonderful holiday, we'll see you soon. :)

Brilliant, even in some difficult personal circumstances, our week here was perfect. The hotel is spotless and the staff are great. Yes it is a little distance to walk, so I would recommend a car if you’re not too mobile, but the place is great. Billy, TJ and Valentino were great every day. If you read this, thank you so much.
I would definitely recommend visiting Sunset beach and Canal d'amour both very romantic with fantastic views. The weather was perfect, not a single cloud all week and 40-45 degrees every day.

Just returned form Andromeda and was quite disappointed because after reading the comments before I went I thought I was in for a really good holiday. I must start by saying the apartments were lovely but they are too far out the way, there is nothing around you. You would really need to hire a car. Don't believe what is in the brochure that everything is a short stroll away. There is an excellent restaurant 5 minutes away to the left called Bikolis. You really have to try it. But after that there is noting. Turning right from the apartments the first taverna is a 15 minutes walk away as is the first supermarket, if you want a newspaper add another 10 minutes on. Taxi's cost 5 euros. Add this cost onto your holiday and it soon adds up. Although myself and my family like to walk its impossible in that heat. By the 2nd week we were all becoming quite depressed at the thought of the walk into Sidari. As for the "local charge" for air con. as stated in the brochure, that is a real laugh. Be prepared to pay 70 euros per week and if you are in a duplex apartment as I was it is 70 euros PER ROOM PER WEEK. NO, I AM NOT KIDDING. Also while we were there, there was a wasps nest at the pool but even though we complained to Billy and 2 people were stung that I know of ( one was a child) nothing was done about it. We got some longwinded story about the wasps being good for the grapes for making wine. Billy always had an answer. If having a drink at the bar be prepared to pay a lot more than what you would in Sdiari. Billy's prices are a lot more expensive. During happy hour he wanted 2.80 euro for a pint. You can get one for 2 euro in Sidari when its not happy hour. Although all the restaurants we tried were very good I must say I was disappointed with Sidari itself. The main beach was filthy and I would say the resort is for young people not for families.
At the moment I am waiting for a reply to my letter which I submiited to Thomas Cook but I can safely say I won't be going back to Sidari.

We had the most wonderfull holiday here during 2 weeks commencing 19 May 08 with Billy and Mickey looking after our every need. Billy's Mum is a lovely person and provides very nice food. We have booked another 2 weeks starting on 18 May 09 and we are so looking forward to seeing everybody again. The weather is fantastic and the food excellent. The pool area is so clean as is the rooms and the staff always seem to be cleaning and organising for the benefit of the holidaymaker.
The walk in to Sidari is pleasant and only about 30 minutes. Hope this info is of interest.

There isn't much more to add about this place other than Yes it really is that good. Billy is an excellent host who's attention to detail really does make a difference. The surroundings are lovely, providing you are happy with being away from the sights and sounds of Sidari but still close enough to walk into should you wish (approx 25mins). Peraloudes is a beautiful traditional Greek village with 2 restaurants the better of which is closer to the hotel, and a fantastic cafe/bar called North, owned and run by Vagelis, this is a must if you like good service, excellent chilled out music with a relaxed atmosphere. It is also open all day for fresh bagettes and ice creams, perfect. Another must is a visit to the sunset beach restaurant, set on top of the cliffs overlooking the sea the view of the sunset is well worth the slightly more expensive cost of the meal.

There's not much to say about the Andromeda that hasn't been said before. Billy the owner is great as are all of the staff. Yes the price of soft drinks is high but cocktails during happy hour (4 til 6) are only 4euros and great value. The food in the bar is also good value if you want a snack. 4.30euors for full English, about 4euros for burger and chips and under 3euros for a toastie with plenty other stuff available as well. We had a duplex apartment which was very spacious. The only thing wrong was there wasn't much in the way of kitchen equipment. Also in a duplex if you want air con, there are 2 units and it's 70euros for each unit per week. We opted to have the upstairs unit only which did help. Having said that for the first few days when the weather was cooler we didin't need it. The pool area is lovely and usually quiet. Sorry to anyone who thought differently while we were there- a group of 15 including 9 kids. But they loved it!
There is a supermarket less than 10 minutes walk away which is open most of the time. Turn right out of the hotel, then right at the fork in the road and walk for a further 500 yards and it's on the left hand side. It stocks most stuff.
The very best restaurant is Bikolis which is 200m from the hotel and to the left as you go out. The owners Nikos and Eleni are so friendly and the food is delicious. We ate there as a group most nights and the service was brilliant. How they managed to get 15 meals on the table at the same time was amazing. I can't thank them enough for their hospitality. They make bread on site and it is beautiful. There is a full range of starters, greek dishes, kebabs, grills, fish, pizzas which are all good value. With 15 people choosing from a menu, not one of us had a bad meal.
Another good place to eat is Romana which is in Sidari off the main street just behind the church. (The owners are related to Nikos and Eleni). Also we went to Cactus Jacks which is Mexican towards the Canal end of Sidari and again the service was good and the portions huge but very nice.
One place not to go is the taverna half way along the track to Sunset Beach. It was terrible! And it spoilt a lovely evening we had watching the sun go down in the bar at the end of the track. I've heard the Panorama restaurant is good but we didn't get there early enough to get a table.
We hired a car and went to Aqualand which was great. Very clean, well laid out, loads of umbrellas and shaded areas. Most car hire places will sell you discounted tickets if you hire a car as well. We got 2 days car rental (A/C Yaris) and the tickets (3 adults and 1 child) for about 150 euros which meant we could stay all day at Aqualand and have a car for another day to do some sightseeing. We went to Paleokatristra which is beautiful but busy. A trip on the boat there to see the caves was good at 25euros although it was only half an hour.
Overall we had a great holiday, very relaxing, brilliant weather, fabulous food, good flights (outward slightly delayed) and transfers and met some great people.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from an amazing holiday at the Andromeda. After a long night flight, we arrived at the hotel greeted by Billy the faboulous owner with some orange juice and cake, yummy :)
We were then shown to our rooms, which were lovley. We had a studio, with a great bed and kitchen area with everything you need. The bathroom was good too, and you could always get hot water, which has been difficult with other places i have visted.
We loved the swimming pool, was very relaxing, and had great views of the country side. there were always plenty of sun loungers available. It was also great that there wasn't always loads of people swarming around the pool area too like you get in big hotels, and we had the pool to ourselves on lots of occasions too.
The bar and food at the hotel was great too! A little expesive for a can of pop at E2.50 put the rest of the drinks were a great price. We loved the breakfasts in the morning too was great!
On tuesday there was a Greek night at the hotel which was amazing! Three traditional dancers came and did lots of dancing, and fire dancing, and got everybody to join in.
There was also a BBQ night which unfortunatley we didn't go to as we had arranged a night trip to the Corfu town to do some shopping, which was lovley.
The hotel is in a great area. It is around a half hour - 40minute walk into Sidari, but very hot walking in the heat. Sidari itself is great. We're not big party animals but went to a few of the bars which were great and very cheap. All the restuarants were great too. The Magic Wok was are favourite, we went 3 times in a week haha! Paid around 30E for meal, starters and drinks.
Andromeda is definatley the place to go, everyone always commented on how great it was, the taxi drivers said how great it looks when they drop you off, and all the reviews on here are just 100% right. We would DEFINATLEY return, all the staff our brill, and they make the best cocktails!
Only thing that ruined our holiday was the trip home. The flight was delayed 9 and a half hours!!!!! And we got completley fobbed off, nobody would give us answers, got told different things by everyone. Oh well, they took us to a 5* hotel for breakfast, then when the flight finally took off, we got to Gatwick and after waiting nearly an hour for our suitcases to come off the plane, an hour later our bags didn't come off - just mine and boyfriends though, still havn't got them and Thomas cook are closed, the phone number that we were given to just rings with no answer. But apart from that, amazing holiday, and we will deff return. 10./10 + Thanks so much billy!!

Location - very peaceful and lovely views, nice pool area
Accommodation - Fantastic 10/10
Staff: Excellent bar staff and pleasant owner
Food: Really only snackbar quality, but lovely local tavernas in the surrounding village
Drinks: Prices very high, cheaper again to use local bars and wine in tavernas is good quality and cheap - 13E for a bottle of wine at Andromeda, that costs 3E in shop!
A great place as a base to explore island, but cheaper to drink and eat elsewhere.

Me and my boyfriend and 2 friends (another couple) have just got back from 2 weeks in Corfu, and we are already desperate to go back!
Had such an amazing holiday. Hotel Corfu Andromeda was fantastic...Billy - the owner welcomed us when we arrived with juice, cake and a complementary bottle of water then took us to our apartment. We got adjoining rooms with our friends as requested. The apartments were were nice, clean and comfortable. Our rooms were cleaned everyday apart from 1, but we were so messy i don't blame them!
The atmosphere of Andromeda is very peaceful and far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip in Sidari. The pool area is very clean and a great place to relax and get a tan :)
As you come out the apartments and turn left, you walk into the little greek village of Peroulades. If you carry on walking through the village you will come to Logas beach, which is also known as Sunset beach. We went there to watch the sun set (approx 8-9 o'clock) and it was so beautiful.
If you turn right out of the apartments, it is approx 30min walk into Sidari or 5 euros in a taxi.
Sidari beach is lovely and the i loved swimming in the sea and through the caves. We rented a boat for a couple of hours to see the coast of Northern Corfu and even found our own secluded beach.
The nightlife of Sidari is great, except the bars and clubs don't seem to get busy until around 1am.
We went for many meals out in Sidari, and found some very nice resturants. Try Madisons, Sea Breeze and the Tex Mex, they were all great food for good prices.
Memories resturant was awful when we went, they wouldn't put the air con on and the food was rubbish!
Billy couldn't wait to get rid of us...but we will be definatly coming back!
Thanks so much to all the staff, and Billy's family and of course crazy Billy!

Where do i start, just got back from Corfu last week and me and my (new) fiance had the best holiday we have ever had, Andromeda was perfect. We were met on arrival at 6am by the owner Billy with cake and orange juice and he also gave each arrival a bottle of water for their room and we were taken to our rooms which were brilliant. Very clean and tidy we was very impressed. everyday the rooms were cleaned and we were given new towels and the air conditioning was lovely. Billy did everything in his power to help us this demonstated in the night i proposed he let me cut up his rose's offered us champagne and helped me make my propose memorable. Billy also took some photo's of the moment and gave us these as a departing gift. we'll never forget that night and we will definately be going back on our honeymoon.
Sidari is a great place and only 2 Mins away in Taxi, we would reccomend the mexican for great value and brilliant food
thanks a lot Billy, Micky & Co.

We had a fantastic week at the Andromeda. Billy and the team do so much to make your holiday special. Billy cannot do enough for you. The apartments are clean with everything you need, toaster, kettle and microwave are all included for no charge. They are all pool view and the scenery is fantastic. If you need a relaxing break, go to the Andromeda. I was extremely impressed by these apartments, we were the last ones to be dropped off by the transfer coach and after seeing all of the other apartments in sidari - these are definatley the best ones! I cant wait to go back next year. We loved it!

We have just had the best holiday ever!! We stayed at the Corfu Andromeda for 2 weeks, and what a fantastic 2 weeks it was.
On arrival Billy quickly realised that I was disabled with walking difficulties, in no time he changed our room to no 301, which is the nearest room to the bar and reception, thank you so much Billy I was very grateful.
Our apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The Corfu Andromeda is in a beautiful setting with a hillside backdrop, it is very peaceful round the pool and ideal for winding down and forgetting about the busy life back home.
The Greek Night was a great night, a good time to meet up with your neighbours, just beware of Billy and his gadgets!!! he had a smoke machine and strobe lights while we was there, but i believe there will be more to come.
The BBQ night is also a good night, home cooking the way "Momma" likes to cook it, and again a good time for making new friends.
I must say a big thank you to Mickey & Glen for making our holiday such a good one, you both work so hard and always with a smile, nothing was ever to much for you, whether it be serving meals from the kitchen, serving behind the bar or just socialising.
Normally we like to try a lot of different taverna's, but as you turn left from the Andromeda about 200yds on the left you will come to the Taverna Bikolis, Niko & Eleni run this Taverna and the food is gorgeous. If you have a big appetite try the BBQ for 2, it was absolutely stunning. Thank you Niko & Eleni for your hospitality and keeping us well fed.
So once again thank you Billy, Mickey & Glen for helping to make our holiday so very special, also thanks to all the friends we met at the Andromeda you know who you are!!!
The watery eyes said it all on our departure Billy, we will be back as soon as possible.
Hope you have a good season
Love & Best Wishes
