We booked this as a VERY cheap last minute deal £287 a head... so we got what we paid for... very little.
Valentinios costs of three blocks of 2 story flats, about 25 in total, up a country lane on the outskirts of Roda, about 100m from the shore, but around 500m from the proper beach and the town proper.
It was probably very nice a long time ago...However, the local tourist economy is in poor state and think this place one of the victims, not being a top notch place, it must have been first to be cut from use and was basically in mothballs, waiting for better times - according to the owner a contract had fallen throu and he was letting it to Sunset as a last resort.
Thus the pool was empty (we could use one at the next hotel up the road), the bar and cafe boarded up, and the only time we met staff was on the two days they came to clean ... the key was even left in the door for our arrival.
it was clean and comfortable enough, but I got a fair few mosquito bites.
So why would you love it ... nice bar down the road by the sea, close enough to the town ... although theres not much there apart from bars and restaurants.
Peace, quiet sunshine and cheap...although the couple next door had paid £500 a head...outch.

Dec 2006, frales

I had contacted this website to get info on this apartment, as I could not find anything about it anywhere. The only review was quite scathing.
When we arrived the apartments had just been taken over by Libra. The people we dealt with most of the time were the staff who ran the pool and snack bar.
We heard a lot of bad stories about them but I must say, I found them to be very pleasant and helpful. From other guests the Libra rep was not.
I have been to Roda many times and I must say that although the apartments were basic, I found them very clean with a good sized pool which was kept clean. It was never over busy and I would use them again.
We had a great two weeks using the apartment as a base to enjoy Roda once again.

Sold this holiday as two star totally wrong. The studios were given a perfunctory cleaning twice a week couldn’t get anyone to attend to problems we had. The pool area was shabby no food available the fire brigade stopped any food been cooked fire hazard. The pool was hardly the cleanest and the bar itself was little more than a hole in the wall. If you want a good pool and bar go to makes. Overall would prefer a fortnight in Siberia than returning to Valentinos

Sep 2006, Ms J Broadbent

The room was dirty and threadbare to say the least. Despite asking for another room or the existing one to be cleaned at 9am originally, by 6pm nothing had happened despite a promise it would.
We found alternative accommodation as staying there would have spoilt the holiday. We hadn't even unpacked, so picked up our luggage and handed the key in, in a matter of seconds on our return.
We were later accused of flooding the apartment and the tour operator threatened not to let us on the transfer coach. I wouldn't be posting this if we were guilty of such a childish act, and frankly, if I had wanted to cause damage, I wouldn't have given them the key back till later.
Needless to say, we won't be going there again. On the other hand, Roda is lovely!

Aug 2006, Mrs E Stook

We arrived 5 hours late at 2.30 a.m. and went straight to bed a bit disappointed. Next morning after unpacking the apartment looked like home and as the sun was hot we went for a walk.
It was only 5 minutes to a lovely clean beach and we had breakfast with views over the bay.
We walked on and found a good array of shops, supermarkets, bars and places to eat. Walked round in a large circle and arrived back at the apartment (about an hour at holiday pace). The pool was cool and very clean with lots of sun beds and umbrellas. The pool bar was cheap and the food was basic English snacks but great for breakfast, lunch or munchies in between.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The apartment was very basic but clean and quite roomy with everything you need. They were cleaned 3 times a week with sheets and towels each time. The cleaner left equipment there so that you could mop up yourself in-between if you wanted to. A great help when you have children with sandy feet.
We found a lovely restaurant on the edge of the beach about 7 minutes walk from the apartment, the waiters were very nice and spoke quite good English. They taught us quite a lot of Greek phrases and were very friendly. On the whole we had a super holiday and would love to go back soon.

Just come back from a very relaxing...

Jul 2006, Mrs M Webb

Just come back from a very relaxing and hot week in Roda, the accommodation was very very basic, not even a kettle! Even though the maid came twice in one week changing the beds and towels, she never cleaned the floor. It was dirty when we arrived with bits sticking to your feet, there wasn’t even a sweeping brush or I would have swept myself.
Oh and the noise if you are at the front by the road is mad, bikes, cars and buses until about 6am then it goes quiet until about 11am. Let's be fair though, the apartments and the holiday was cheap so I can't really complain, you just need somewhere to rest your head!
The Libra rep offered us trips (as they do) and we found it was a lot cheaper to do it yourself and don't believe it when they say sometimes they don't turn up if they are not full. The one trip to Aqualand was 38 euros each, we walked down the road and did it with the travel company there for 21euros each!
In all though it was a very pretty little place, and very leisurely, not for 18-30's if you want to have a mad boozy week go to Kavos! MAD.

Oct 2005, Mr L Parnell

Very basic accommodation. No room for clothes. Room cleaned twice per week. 1 Towel provided, hand towel size. Beds very uncomfortable and would not suit anyone with back problems. Nice pool area. Resort quite at this time of year.
Would not return to apartments under any circumstance. I think these apartments are used by holiday company specifically for 'last minute' deals. Room rate is only 30Eur per night in low season, 45Eur high season. In a nut shell, Stay away!
