Koulouris Beach Hotel

As so many others we were misled into thinking this was a family hotel. Not a bit of it!. We had lizards in the wardrobes, leaking roof, bathroom falling apart, broken windows, NO hot water any time of day and beds that were nothing more than pallets with mattresses on. We complained as soon as we arrived but **** the owner just put her arm around my wife and said 'never mind, just enjoy your holiday'. Not good enough. On the second morning we were flooded during a short rain shower as the roof of the apartment leaked in 4 places.
That was it we decided we weren’t staying. We spoke to the rep and she came and saw the apartment. She agreed that it was disgusting be she could not move us. In the end we voted with our feet and moved ourselves into the complex next door at our expense. Koulouris is not as advertised and left to **** probably never will be. It is strictly for 18/ 30's. The pool was dirty and even if it wasn’t you couldn’t use due to the activities of the young men in the water.
This was left to carry on unchecked by ****. I could write a book but suffice to say this place is a dump and should not be promoted as a holiday destination for families. I had to rate it 1 out of 10 but realistically that is being generous.

What more can I say about this place but it was the worst holiday we’ve ever had! We took our 5 year old under the impression that we were going to a family resort . Well it wasn’t quite what we were hoping for the pool was so DIRTY you couldn’t even see the bottom was not cleaned once in 2 weeks we were there .again broken glass bottles everywhere no children’s facility’s we had a lost case on the way out to Corfu and felt that Libra holidays just didn’t care we hardly ever saw the rep and we were stuck in this dump for 2 weeks .The swear music was so bad around the pool that we couldn’t even sit near it “WOULD NOT RECCOMEND FOR FAMILYS” any time of the year.

Koulouris Beach was very misleading in the brochure as it said it was a family hotel with a number of facilities available, which was all-untrue. Mary the owner was very pleasant that was about it. Close to Kavos town...ha, 5 mins along the beach which is ok when daylight but very dark on a night.
Over grown tennis court and park which was one slide. Young adults drinking and smoking in the pool swearing all the time broken glass about the grounds. This is not a place for families only for the young who want to get drunk all the time. AVOID IF YOU WANT A GOOD CLEAN HOLIDAY.

We’ve just stayed at the Koulouris end of July/Aug & we had a great time, drinking all night/morning and sunbathing in the day, all of the staff are really friendly & the 24hour bar is great!
Accommodation is basic but you only need to sleep there so it didn’t bother us, it only takes 5 mins max to get to all the nightlife from the beach only problem is it ruins your shoes! the hotel was full of young people & we made loads of friends. It's definitely not a place for families but i would’ve thought that was pretty obvious in Kavos!! If you like fun lively holidays you’ll have a right laugh.

The Koulouris Beach hotel and apartments are owned by a Lady called Mary who is a very pleasant lady, and that is all that you can say about this place if you are family going on holiday. We booked this holiday in May 2004 with Libra Holidays due to Location, Facilities, and Entertainment. It shown that there were several activities for all the family which when we arrived advised they had not been available for 3/4 years as follows: Tennis court - this was over grown with broken bottles and glasses. Games room - closed down. Mini playground - with 1 rusty slide which was over grown by trees. Mini market - closed down. Live music & theme evenings - this was Sky sports and groups of drunks who add not been to bed. No. of rooms 24 on 1 floor - this had grown to 49 rooms on 2 floors. Entertainment through the day was groups of girls and lads fully clothed in swimming pool with bottles of beer, flicking ash from cigarettes into pool, spitting in the pool, and having sex around the pool, (not ideal for young children). We were allocated a room which everybody came passed to go too bed or should I say party ? The noise was that bad non of us could sleep. I spoke to our Rep the following day who could only say this is Kavos and expect that noise. This was like an holiday from hell. Other things included used condoms on the footpaths, and groups of lads constantly swearing, loud music, THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR FAMILIES. My only way of a family holiday was to move into another hotel which again cost me and my family several pounds. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL IF YOU ARE A FAMILY.

The Koulouris Beach hotel is owned by a very pleasant lady named Mary. That I am afraid is where the positives end.
The hotel is advertised as suitable for families with tennis courts, children’s play area, live entertainment, themed evenings, games room, etc. When we arrived it was clear that none of this was true. The tennis court is overgrown with weeds and covered in broken glass.
The children’s play area consists of one rusty slide in the bushes and the live entertainment consists of Sky Sports News on the TV. Added to this the large groups of youngsters, the continual swearing, inappropriate music being played around the pool, broken glass everywhere and used condoms on the path and the constant noise all night and you end up with every families worst nightmare.
It was so bad that we only stayed one night before moving to another hotel at my own cost. A great place if you are looking for cheap alcohol and all night partying, but if you are a family, FORGET IT!!!!!!
