Holiday Inn Continental Lisbon Hotel

7 of us were there... I won't write all the details, but i don't really know why is it a 4 star hotel!? Look at the restaurant for the begining... Rooms are OK! Location - OK Service - TERRIBLE and the staff not nice at all

What sets this Holiday Inn apart from any other we have stayed at was the staff of the front desk. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, thoughtful and went out of their way to assist us in every way they could, including arranging accommodations in another place east of Lisbon. We were impressed!

This review is long overdue, but wanted to share our thoughts on this property. When we exited the bus from the airport (drop-off is about one block away), we had a little difficulty (jetlag) finding the hotel, as it is tucked away on a small street off the main road, but we were quickly assisted by helpful Lisboans who pointed out the hotel location for us. When I got to the hotel my initial thoughts were that it was maybe looking a little run down and it didn't help that I had to wait for several minutes to check-in. When I got up to my room I have to say I was very impressed though, the room was large & nicely decorated and the bed was enormous. I received 2 complimentary bottles of juice and water each day as a Priority Club member too which was an added bonus. My wife and I stayed in this hotel 4 nights during our trip to Europe. We couldn't have chosen better in Lisbon. The hotel is conveniently located (close to Campo Pequeno metro station which takes you to the lively center in few minutes and close to the Entrecampos train station if you plan a day trip to Sintra) and the value for the price was quite amazing. I stayed here for 1 night during a business travel. The location is very convenient if you have to go to the airport the next day, it just takes 10 minutes. The room was tidy, clean, modern and spacious. There were complimentary coffee and water. The lady at the reception desk was friendly and helpful. I didn't have breakfast, so I can't say how it is.

Just got back from our trip to Lisbon. We had a wonderful time. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Continental. The hotel is clean, the service is very good and we got a good rate. The location was convenient for us. We had access to the Metro and to the Suburan Rail Lines. My husband's sister lives just outside of Lisbon so we traveled by rail. My son is 2 years old. The room was adequate for the three of us. I recommend this hotel.

As with many other reviewers of this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised with this place. To start with, rates can very reasonable if you book directly on the hotel website (somewhere between 40 to 70 euros per room per night). The location is very good, albeit not right in the centre. There are a few banks with cashpoints (ATMs), a pharmacy and some other shops and cafes nearby. We booked 3 nights in the HI Continental using a Priority Club offer for room only (we rarely eat breakfast in the hotel unless it's free!). The hotel is no more than a €8-10 taxi ride from the airport in Rua Laura Alves and is a 2 minute walk to both Campo Pequeno and the bus/Metro, The closest shops are located in the basement of Campo Pequeno itself, together with a small supermarket which is great for the basics.
