The only thing to say about these appartments is dont stay there, the only good thing about them is the people we met there. The staff are unhelpfull, the sheets on the beds dont get changed neither do the towels, no toilet paper supplied after one day, the food and drinks at the bar are overpriced and as for happy hour thats a joke. The staff on the desk are rude the security is none existant so many people were robbed at night time is was untrue, and the staff neved did any thing about it, no forced entry into rooms security boxes usless as these were kept in reception and still money and cash cards were taken from them. you cant have a drink in anyone elses appartment or balcony and you can get fined for the slightest of things. the pools are never cleaned there was stuff floating in both pools. The facitlities in the self catering appartments are none existant, they even have a laminated menue stuck on the wall!!! Its definatley not Happy Days!!!

Malia 08 - Amazin!! Happy Days 08 - A Joke!! Not even allowed 2 socialise with other people during the day!! Getting for doin absaloutely nothing!! You would think because of this it would hav been 5 star. No the shower flooed every night and with 3 people in a tiny room it can b a nightmare!! All I can say is if you have already booked up go 2 the beach everyday if you dont want 2 b fined and stay out as late as you can as you will get sent 2 bed and the "24 hour bar" is amazin with all the shhh- ing and no music!
Besides that the pub crawls and school discos etc that warren and anthony did for us they were quite good!!
But it did put a downer on the my first holiday away with my friends.

Before we went away we read the reviews of Happy Days and so were not expecting too much when we got there - WRONG! We had one of the best holidays ever. There were 4 guys and 4 girls and we all agree. The staff are amazing fun and, unlike the reviews, you can do pretty much what you want as long as you don't take the p***!
Manager couldn't have been more helpful and even allowed 4 of us to keep a room until 6pm on the day of our departure - something the reviews said we couldn't. The only thing they are strict on is loud music after midnight but the entire of greece is the same as thats the law over there.
The security guard only sat and kept an eye on folk goin from one apartment to the other but they didn't mind who was in what apartment as long as you weren't running about making noise - one thing tho don't go in the pool at night as it makes ur hair green (not a good look!)
Even the local medical centre couldn't have been better, two of us had to go visit but they were so helpful and friendly - the doctor even drove us to the pharmacy and then back to the aprtments, you don't even get that service over here!
Not expensive, loads to do, apartments may vary in size but clean and well stocked - fresh towels every couple of days and plenty of loo roll so you don't have to worry bout buying/bringing ur own.
A massive 10 out of 10 for Happy Days and malia as a resort - we will definately go back there - so don;'t believe all the bad stuff it's not true!!
Clubs to try - Club 69, Club UK, Candy Club, Banana's and Saltire for the football!! Oh and persevere with finding the Loft - 1 euro a drink, live MC all night and crackin atmosphere!!

well...happy days wen we arrived seemed pretty lively young peoples resort...lots of people round the pool enjoying the sunshine!! after reading loads of bad reviews about this resort we were a bit intriged to see what we were getting ourselves in for.
then up to the room it was 3 in a room for us and we quickly nicknamed it "the dungeon" ive never stayed in anything so basic in all my life..but you get what you pay for!!
the excuse for a kitchen was a plug in hob!!
the bathroom was a disgrace to...you had to be a dwarfs height to fit under it!!
one towel a week also was disgusting!! there was nothing to soak up the water on the floor so u had to recycle your towel!!!...minging!!
The staff are pushy with the package deals and the bbq!! At our welcome meeting..we sed we were interested in the bbq and b4 you know it uv got a ticket which is non-refundable!! to be fair though i throughly enjoyed the bbq and would definatly reccomend it!! we were even offered seconds!!
The nightlife in Malia is amazing and with all the annoying PR's giving you lots of drinks promotions you obviously are wasted once your back from the strip!! Only people from happy days are aloud back or its a 50 euro fine!! So we would get the guys up to our balcony and have a drink...we used to have to hide so big Dimitri couldnt see us!! Very funny wen ur extremly drunk!!
There was one night my friend had gone home early and she sat on the balcony and waited for me on her own...Dimitri came with his flashlight and shouted 316 get back in your room...honestly its like an army camp!! ha
Apart from not being aloud to eat or drink anything not bought from happy days around the pool..the one day we did eat in the resort they didnt even get beans on toast right!!...The best place for food is Zorbas the foods amazing...and sticky fingers...gringos the mexican..red lion...and beach road...dont eat in happy days!
We had no real complaints untill our last day!!..we checked out returned the key and dimitri handed me a fine for 25 euros!!!!!! for a dirty bed sheet and dirty towel!!!!! i was rajing the beds only get changed once a week and uv got dirty feet from walking round the pool...and im a girl so i wear make up!..we went to ask georgia for sum advice because she had been great all week.. we were wrong she sed its hotel policy we all know make up stains...which it doesnt!!
She then got very aggresive towards my friend and shouted you are pathetic and disgusting!! We then had dirty looks from Dinah for the rest of our day! We asked for some proof of how much a sheet and towel costs and we offered to wash it ourselves!! they sed they dont have to prove anything to us..and the big boss wasnt available to speak 2! we had to pay as he sed " you dont pay you dont fly home" as he had our passports we had no choice.
While we were there we werent fined for anything else..ther was a group of glasweigian boys and they had 7 fines at 25 euros each..one for slamming a door and another for a damp towel!!! wat a joke.they are robbing b******s too my friend saw the manager go into the bottom safety deposit box and take out 20 euros as they are in the reception rather than ur room!! bit strange...
I didnt speak to one person there that sed they'd go bak to happy days..on the brightside Malia was amazing and we meet the nicest ppl over there!! I would avoid Happy days like the plague!!

Malia = Great, been before enjoyed it just as good this year as we did last.
Happy Days = ****ing Hovel! Stay away!
Fines for everything, the book of fines is thicker than the bible and also they keep your passports until you hand your keys in when you depart.
Ive never know a place as bad in my life for not been able to do a thing!
Cant sit on Balcony for a chat and a ciggy or a drink when you get in from a night out.
Dont let this put you off Malia completley cos the nightlife is banging!!
If i could have rated 0/10 i would have.
Happy Holidays!!
Stelios Gardens all day long!!

Myself and 3 friends stayed at Happy Days for a fortnight in July. As we'd been before we knew what to expect on the nightlife front and definitely had a great time in that respect. The apartments itself are very clean if a little basic but what else do you need on a clubbing holiday apart from something to sleep on. Ha. The only thing that really irritated us all and I think I can safely say, everyone else in the hotel was the ridiculous 'security' guard. If your voice went above anything than a whisper he would continually tell you to go inside or the hilarious 'get off the balcon' until you did or the owner decided to give you a telling off as well. Even though he gives you a choice of going inside or staying on the balcony, if you choose the latter he will STILL proceed to tell you to go inside which we found although to be stupidly funny most of the time, could get a little annoying when all you want to do it sit out for some drunken banter with your mates.
The maid is also a bit of a cause for concern cos to be honest, she stinks AND she dropped my baguette on the floor. The cheek. She also only visits once or twice a week at most and rolls her eyes constantly as she cleans the room tutting at even the slightest out of place object.
The good points include the BBQ which is definitely good value as more or less everyone staying at the hotel joins in with it & we'd suggest going on the tour operators school disco as well. The 2 hour free bar is brilliant!
The location is alright but could be a little better (i'd say 5 to 10 minutes away) but when you're drunk you don't really care. Mr sandwich is a definite suggestion for drunk food, you'll pass it at least twice a day, guaranteed!
Oh! Also...don't use the apartment phone when drunk. I managed to be 134 euros worse off cos of it. Bad times.
Overall I give Happy Days 7/10, losing marks for the security guard and tutting maid.

Me and 3 other girls just got back from a fantastic 2 weeks in malia.
It wasnt my first time, i was there last year too but we loved it so much we just had to go back again and i was just as impressed second time around.
This time we stayed in Happy days. It was abit further away from the strip than I would have liked but still walking distance and in a nice area, close to some places to eat and a few supermarkets. Its about a 15 min walk to the nightlife but you dont really notice it after a few drinks.
The rooms were malia basic, nothing special but nothing to complain about either. The only thing i did notice was that the rooms wernt cleaned too often. By that i mean we only had 1 or 2 clean towels and the beds changed once in the whole of the 2 weeks that we were there. hummm.
Watch out for dimitri aswell, the hotels security guard. I can understand there has to be some rules in place but this guy really takes his job to the extreme. After returning from a night out some of the rules are a little harder to follow, for example you cant say a word after midnight, i mean literally nothing over a whisper. You cant have a chat to fellow holiday makers on the balcony or have a cig or whatever, you have to go straight inside your own room, also, no over night guests weather they are from the same apartmnts or not.A little annoying really but to be honest tho, me and my friends all managed to pull the wool over his eyes and still had a right laugh if you know what i mean.
The pools are lovely but there was one or 2 days when we couldnt get a sunbed. The pool bar is run by big chris and little chris, a greek lady and a scotish woman who i cant remember the names of. They are all friendly anyway and the food is nice and not too expensive. They do a BBQ party night on sundays which is well worth the 14 euros!
If you go with libra id say go on the package trip thing they do. the bar crawl, booze cruise and school disco nights are legendary. a really good way to get chattin to other people.
Malia is brilliant. you just cant beat it. Happy days is great too but I think id go elsewere next time just simply because I liked being abit closer to the strip last year and Id like to beable to have a little more freedom were the security is concerned. dont let this review worry you about happy days tho, youll have an amazing holiday - I promise!

"Happy Days" - how ironic.
Within 3 hours of arrival 2 members of our group of 6 were placed on the 'black list' and were on their final warning. What for? You’re guess is as good as mine.
During our week, the bedding and towels were changed once. We were supplied with one roll of toilet roll between 3 rooms and when it ran out, were not provided with new ones! When we brought our own roll back, we woke the next morning to find the cleaners - their only visit to our rooms - had binned it! The day before we were due to depart; the cold water in our room seemed to have been switched off while in our other two rooms, the hot water ran out!
The security guard constantly monitored us and was very aggressive in his behaviour towards guests. I can understand he wanted as little noise as possible because of the situation of the hotel (amongst locals' houses) but his nature was un-provoked and un-necessary. We knew of a person whom he fined THIRTY Euros for being accompanied in his flat with someone who wasn't staying there; even although in the rules (which we found in a drawer on the last day!) it stated that if someone not belonging to Happy Days was found there, they would face a FIVE Euro fine. Strange.
DO NOT EAT at the Happy Days restaurant - the food was like the scraps you feed to your dog; although the BBQ they hosted was very enjoyable but at 14 Euros is well over-priced. Also over-priced was the 'deal' the reps try to con you with. I would strongly advise to book the same activities elsewhere (local tourist office shop places do them for a fraction of the price.) We were constantly ripped off.
I am puzzled by the hotel staff's attitude towards our party and this was summarised in the pub quiz at the BBQ - we came in 3rd place only to be revealed that the top TWO will receive prizes. On our answer sheet however was "2nd=" Perhaps they drew names out a hat? I think not.
I can understand why people have accredited this place with 10/10 because it can be nice and relaxing but the staff obviously had a grudge against us right from the word 'go'. We were not loud or annoying towards them, and even though we ploughed plenty of money into them, they still could not smile at us.
Despite this shambles of a hotel, we actually had a great time in Malia and are seriously considering returning soon. But the 2/10 is for Unhappy Days and not Malia itself.

would recommend Happy Days to anyone to stay in. we took our 2 kids with us aged 2 and 8 and they loved it. The staff are great, you will always find either big chris or wee chris working at the bar, 2 of the nicest barmen ive meet. All the staff are friendly and do there best to make sure you have a great holiday. They dont take any crap and yes there is no noise allowed after midnight, which is greek law not just a rule that applys to Happy Days. The food is very nice, rooms are a good size and clean. A bonus for these apartments is the night security man. Its about a 5/10 mis walk from the strip which is good as there is no noise.
On a sunday i would recommend The Red Lion for sunday dinner. Also Gringos the mexican, the China House and the Union Jack are all lovely places to eat.

Happy Days as itself, i could not fault. The hotel was well maintained and taken care of. The staff(most of them) were funny and pleasant.
Good points:
Vibrant
Easy to have fun with to staff & other guests
Large television for football & movies
Cleanliness was kept to a good standard
Nice area(no crime)
Bad Points:
Manager, Big Chris & Security Guard were planks
The maid smelled and constantly complained
We only got one towel each for 5days
No food and drink bought from outside was allowed at the pool area
overall, the hotel was pleasant, but it could be better.

happy days
ive been to malia 3 times in all and ive never stopped in a decent hotel so you get used to it after a while.dont get me wrong but the resort as a whole is the best place ive ever been.
THE HOTEL ITSELF.. its very clean from the outside and very well presented
THE ROOMS.........basic and small.they dont get cleaned that much either but niether does my house.the beds were falling though all the time, the bathroom was small and the self catering tools were non-exsistant.you got 1 roll of toilet paper a week and when you ran out you had to buy it yourself.you have to pay for the air-con,i think it was 35 euro a week.top and bottom line is that if you live like a scruff anyway like me this is the hotel for you.
THE STAFF.........all the staff were a bit arogant.little chris was the best out of the chris's.me and him had a little go on the punch bag every night before i went to the strip, but you could tell that he didnt like me that much.big chris was 2 different people in 1 body,he'd be alright 1minute and the next he'd explode.i over heard him ranting at some wakefield lads saying that he is in with the mafia and if there was any trouble they would come and help out.the best thing about big chris is his bike.goegia was alright i surpose, she had a couple of nags at me but it was all good.ive saved the best til last DEINA the scottish greek wannabe.for some unknown reason she thought she was a greek godess.she doesnt seem to like the other women that are stopping there.
DIMITRI..........this guy is a legend to me but not many people liked him because he was an [-].the first night we i was there we had a arguement about the noise i was making and me and him set things straight.from that night onwards i never heard a murma out of him.i used to come back from the strip and he'd be waiting for me.i wounld greet him with 2 figures and he would do the same back.many nights i would come back from the strip and help him clean the pool.he would start talking about his wife lol.YOU HAVE GOT TO KNOW HOW TO TAKE HIM TO GET ON WITH HIM !!!
THE POOL......... i never had a problem with pool area or the pool itself.put it this way there were no ear infections that holiday like there normally is
ALL IN ALL MALIA IS THE BEST PLACE IVE BEEN FOR THE NIGHT LIFE.HAPPY DAYS IS CRAP !!.THE ONLY REASON I WOULD GO BACK TO HAPPY DAYS IS TO SEE DIMITRI.
