Iw ent to pafos in 2005 and it was the best holiday ever i enjoyed my self very much and would recomend it to alot of people.There is alot to do for Children E.G Childres club most of the day and they were everso friendly.
I think you should defonatly go :)

I went to stay at the Avanti Hotel for the first week in May and had an amazing time. I'd read some of the reviews on here beforehand and was a bit worried but I really enjoyed my stay. We stayed at the Avanti Hotel from 22 - 29 April 2007, I would say that all of the previous good reviews are very fair and that the hotel is aimed at the older clientelle for which is evident by the evening entertainment. There are a few cats around which are cared for by the hotel but you hardly see them (we like cats so no probs). The Hotel is in a good area plenty of eating places and bars. 20 - 25 mins walk from the Harbour. In our opinion not a 4 star rating, service in the restaurant and reception excellent. The pool bar and external services pool side services do not open till May we were told so beware!! This spoilled our holidays as we go to chill and relax. I stayed at this hotel in September 2005 so it was a while back. The thing I remember most about this holiday was the number of stray cats around the hotel complex. They were everywhere. I am very fond of cats but did find the number of cats and kittens around the hotel a bit distressing. When eating outside they would come right up to you and hang around until you fed them! Me and my partner stayed at this hotel in July 2006 and had a wonderful stay. There must have been at least three weddings taking place in the week we stayed there and hotel staff were excellent and didnt get stressed at all! The swimming pool area was very nice and the pool side bar served nice food. Even though there wasnt much entertainment at night in the hotel the day time activities were enjoyable, ranging from water polo, aerobics to archery. Great wedding at the avanti from sj11
Got married at the Avanti in July.The staff couldn't have been more helpful and arranged everything with no hassle. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the setting for the wedding was fabulous. Our wedding photographs are excellent (taken by Andreas of Fotokinisi) and the reception arranged by the hotel was great and excellent value for money. The food at the hotel is excellent,the pool is great and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Altogether a great holiday.

Having booked the Avanti as part of a wedding package, I was a bit perturbed by some of the reviews but fortunately the most recent ones were all positive, so I'll add to that and try to answer some of the criticisms: "Boring repetitive food". Rubbish. Yes, breakfasts weren't English bacon and sausages, but this was Cyprus - great fruit, yogurt and bread, cooked meats and cheese were also options. I have just returned from the Avanti Hotel and had a fantastic time. Our party was of mixed age and every one of us had a great time. On arrival the view from the hotel looked like a hospital but when you enter the reception it is huge with a lovely water feature in the middle. The outdoor pool is excellent. Hi There, I'm just back from a stay at the Avanti. To be honest I wish I'd never looked at the reviews as it worried me, to say the least ,as they varied from brilliant to downright awful. I decided to make my own mind up. The hotel is very clean and spacious with a lovely lobby where you can have a drink and people watch.
