Alexander Beach Hotel & Village Reviews
" This was a honeymoon trip, but I... "
Submitted By: Mr P Maylard-Mason
This was a honeymoon trip, but I would thoroughly recommend the Alexander Beach complex to anyone.
Situated in the resort of Stalis, (far enough away from Malia to not have to worry about drunk British 17 year olds!) this hotel had lovely rooms, good food (varied although sometimes a bit odd - warm peppers and apricot mix for breakfast?) and an excellent beach, pool and gym.
Service was excellent and the staff could not do enough to help.
I'd recommend Stalis too - lots of nice bars and places to eat. Amazingly, there was even an English bar (the Rose & Crown) that served really good food but plenty of good local cuisine too. If you turn left out of the hotel there are plenty of decent restaurants at the quieter end of town.
If you decide to go to Santorini, I would advise against a day trip - far too much packed attempted in a long day - stay overnight and enjoy the island at your own pace instead!

The resort itself is absolutely lovely, relatively unspoilt at this time of the year, a reasonable selection of places to eat. We liked the Balcony, Sea food restaurant at opposite end of resort and Spiros on the beach. The bakery in front of the hotel serves a wicked english breakfast up to midday.
All in all, this is a great resort, the hotel is more than adequate and we will certainly return again.
