Awful just awful, hotel very basic food covered in flies. Swimming pool ageing and in need of upgrade and rooms infested with black ants.
Attempted to play pool in the hotel but a ten lira charge wanted .Staff unhelpful although the bar staff tried their best. In essence this hotel needs to be re-vamped or closed to tourists. The rep - what rep? Have not seen one all week following the welcome meeting which I was the only one to attend.
Did not even leave her name, she did not seem interested. Look elsewhere for better a hotel.

Before we went to Hotel Kassandra I read reviews and was expecting the worse. Believe it has same owners but remembering its a 3 star hotel really it was very good. Staff were very friendly breakfast typically Turkish was fine.
We had breakfast out a few times just for a change. Room small but clean and pool was clean and beach nearby. Loads of really nice restaurants nearby. Agreed with comments about New Season was expensive meal there ok but had nicer. Istanbul was pricey but had a fantastic meal there.
Our favourites were Golden Spoon, Red Dragon, Manuella and Ambrosia buffet but everywhere was nice. Unless you want to stay in hotel all your holiday Kassandra was clean, friendly and we enjoyed our stay there.

Agree with the comment posted earlier.
We stayed in Kassandra in August 2005 (booked via Budget Travel). Very, very basic accommodation. The pool is very dirty, but the sea is two steps away, so it was not a major problem. If you want to book tours - don’t go through your reps - locals sell it cheaper and offer you extras. Resort itself is good, quite picturesque - very good views.
Locals told us that Kassandra has been up for sale for a good while now. It explains why the owner does not want to invest to improve anything - just maintaining it on a current level until a buyer comes alone. But the state of the hotel is reflected in the price - after all you get what you pay for! :)
Restaurants are all reasonably good, but the prices are rather different from place to place. "New Season" is by far the dearest, you will find yourself paying the Irish price tag in this place. The cheapest, but just as good is "Petasa" (walk up to the mosque and turn right and go up to the next junction - it will be on your right hand side).
the bus and taxi stops (to go to Gumbet or Bodrum) are right outside of the hotel. Buses are running regularly (unlike in Ireland) and you’ll be in Bodrum in 30 minutes. Go to the Bodrum castle - very good museum. Kids can go for free. Bodrum is very lively and colourful. It’s my choice for the next holidays in Turkey.

The hotel looks nice from the outside. It took over five mins to get the door unlocked and we eventually had to get the handle changed. the air condition remote was missing when we came in. Nothing in the room except 2 single beds(we asks for double bed) a table and wardrobe. Not even an iron in the room.
The bar was a rip off-3.00lty(€2) for a small glass of juice...full cartoon from shop was €1.paid 3 times more for bottle of water.
Food was very poor, "breakfast" was eggs, bread and cucumbers with juice. there was a much better selection at other hotels along the beach.
The staff were friendly at the beginning but lost interest as soon as we realised there was better, cheaper and more fun places to eat/drink. no entertaining at all here. music system is very poor, music kept skipping or replaying(little annoying when your reading by the pool relaxing)..
Stay at the Emanula...staff there love the Irish, much better food. you get a real stake instead of rat at Kassandra.
Give good service and treat you great and make sure your enjoying your stay.
The hotel charged us 20 lry (15€) for a 3 & 1/2 min call.
Played pool over the hour for ten mins so charge me extra.
Get the idea...
As for budget travel............avoid
Buses never turned up, their tours were twice as expensive as the locals and the rep didn’t care about delays.
We are booking through the net next summer for have the price. great place to relax for couple of weeks.

We have just reluctantly returned from our holiday at the Kassandra Hotel, Bitez. Although the rooms are basic the sheets and towels are replaced daily. The Pool is clean, food good. The service was exceptional, with happy, hardworking staff who make you feel welcome and well looked after.
The location of the hotel is perfect, you can relax by the pool or bar looking out to the beach and Agean Sea which is just across a small road. With the wide range of restaurants only 2 minutes further down the beach offering food to suit all tastes. We ate somewhere different every night and enjoyed each and every one.
Food and Drinks were very reasonable, with a pint of their local beer (more of a lager) only 90 pence. We would definitely recommend the Kassandra Hotel to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing holiday in a beautiful idyllic location.
