Worst apartments we have ever stayed in. Never had clean towels, Bed changed 2 days before we left. Never anybody on reception. Bathroom filthy, cockaroaches, no window or extractor fan, flooded when you had a shower. Very poor cooking untensils, no tin opener or bottle opener. No balcony furniture, no TV as per broochure. Overall they were filthy

We were rather apprehensive about our holiday after reading the reviews on this site (which we only found after booking) but were pleasantly suprised. The apartments are a good size and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom however, was something else and wasn't very clean and there wasn't ever any hot water in the mornings. The maid came in most days and made the beds and cleared the rubbish but in the week we were there we didn't have the beds or the towels changed, but then we wouldn't at home either! The bar was a great place to sit and chat to other guests and the barmen Sarb (absolutely brilliant and speaks very good english) and Fredo (a real sweetie but no english) really made the place. We even came across the owner a couple of times and he was always very pleasant. The pool seemed fine although we didn't go in as it was freezing. The food was ok too but we only had a couple of snacky meals. Bitez itself is great and would recommend The Black Cat and the New Season. For boat trips try Liz and Ahmet as we had a great day out with a really lovely lunch. Would definitely return to Bitez but probably not to these apartments

After reading all reviews I was very concerned, plus we did not pay much for the hotel, so we assumed that you get what you are paying for, and did not expect too much.
We were wrong.
The apartment where we stayed (4 of us) was ready, while we arrived at 6 am. It was clean, we had enough towels, the bathroom was nice and clean. The cleaners were coming every day, the towels were changed after 4 days, which was more than enough, the beds were made every day. The staff was friendly, especially Sarp, who works very hard in Reception and in the Bar, speaks English and can help you with everything.
I must say that I do not get where you people get such a bad experience from!
You pay 70 pounds a week for 2 bedroom apartment and expect a castle ! This is not luxurious resort, but is clean, peple are friendly , the views are amazing and the price is more than reasonable. We had apartment on the 2 floor (the highest) and for me it was the best we could get. I do not understand why some people have a problem with walking up the stairs, it is not like it is 10th floor with no lift!
Kitchen has everything you need, cups, glasses, cutlery, there is electric kettle and a stove.
I would definetely go back and recommend this place.
To all people complaining about the stairs to high(2 floors only!!!!), staff speaking poor English (maybe it is a time to learn some other languages), and other things: next time please go to 5* hotel, because you are spoiling the atmosphere of this place!

The Bitez life appartments must be the most strange place I've ever stayed! On arrival we were shown our room which was clean enough, and left to get on with it. The bar staff Mehmet & Ozzy were the only staff you would see and worked pretty hard well into the night but they were sacked 1/2 way through the week by the never present manager. There was no one to ask for information or ever anyone at the reception desk. You're pretty much left to fend for yourselves.
The pool area was not cleaned during the week we were there and it was getting pretty grubby, also the pool had a ring of dirt around the waterline!
Didn't eat at the apartments so can't comment on that but did eat out every night in Bitez and had some fantastic food and chilled with coctails on the beach late into the night.
All in all Bitez is a lovely resort to chill out and relax, however I probably wouldn't recomend these apartments untill they get some kind of propper management there.
Oh... Great view from the balcony overe the bay though!

we stayed here after reading the reviews( which were all good when we booked) We thought it wasnt to bad for the price we paid, the apartment was clean when we arrived, the cooking facility are very poor and also the knives, forks, plates, bowls there was only enough for 2, which was ok for us as there was 2 of us, no good for 6 though and this is what it sleeps, we only had our sheets and towels changed once in 2 weeks it wasnt to bad for us as we had the spare towels from the other room, the apartment was only clean twice by the maid we had to empty the bins ourselves which i didnt mind but you expect it to be done, saying that the poor maid had to clean the whole place herself, by the time she would get round to us it would be about 6 in the evening when we had already done it ourselves, i did feel sorry for her, the shower was an experience, it was very powerfull but the head was broke and the water would go everywhere and flood the bathroom, we complained but it wasnt fixed, we never used the pool so cant comment on that, the bar staff that were there memett and ozzy were friendly they worked very hard from morning till the last guest went to bed, all in all the room was ok service could be better there were people who came back for a second year and were very dissapointed this time round, We would use it again becauce its so cheap its in nice location just a 5min walk to the restraunts. the beach its self is nice the best part being past the mosque, the restraunts were all nice we didnt have a bad meal, the manuela was nice and one of the cheapest we ate in all staff where friendly, If you want nightlife you have to go over to gumbet as bitez is just restraunts. Bitez is lovely for a relaxing holiday we would go back again.

The hotel wasn't clean or maintained. Dirty sheets/towels/bathroom/pool, the list is endless... Staff were unattentive, and there were only 2 cleaners for all of the rooms, clearly not enough staff.
It was a shame because Bitez is a lovely resort, the beach is great and the locals very friendly. New Season is a great place to eat out, the food was brilliant and the staff lovely. Also, the Black Cat resturant is great value for money with authentic turkish food and friendly staff. The holiday was nice, we just tried to avoid the hotel as much as possible.
One barman (the only one!) kept on pushing girls into the pool which became very irritating for them and other guests, he didnt let people rest. Although, the pool wasn't cleaned for 2 weeks that we were there so we personally didn't make use of it.
Visit Bitez, but not here!

On arrival we had to wait 3 hours before our room was ready, we were told half an hour but this wasn't true. There was nobody to greet us as the reception upon arrival and so we had to find someone by the pool area which turned out to be the bar-man and only member of staff there.
When we finally entered the room there was a horrible smell, the sheets were dirty, the bathroom smelt and also the towels were dirty. The room clearly hadn't been cleaned!
We had to wait until the next morning for new sheets and towels and this was after endless requests... there is not enough staff at this place.
After this, our sheets and towels were not changed for 6 days!! Despite being told they would be changed every 3 days. Whats more, the room was not cleaned or swept and we had to buy products to clean the toilet ourselves.
We had problems with the water on one occassion and had to wait a few hours before a shower.
Generally, the staff (well only 2 or 3 people) were very unattentive, gave off the impression that they did not care and did not listen to any complaints or requests.
The bar-man also told us false prices for the air-conditioning and the pool table, be aware as he was clearly going to pocket the extra money. Check with management, if you can ever find him!!
Also did not use the pool as we did not see them clean it in the 2 weeks we were there.
Bitez on the other hand is a lovely place, so will return there but NOT to this hotel.

Very disapointing after reading 2007 reveiws, the room was spacious very minimum cooking facilities and un clean sheets were changed every four days towels every two but unfortunalty sometimes they forgot to leave the clean towels, but that was all they did the floor was not swept or moped the whole time we were there, i had to buy cleaning stuff and clean the bathroom on arrival as the taps and soap dish were filthy.
Around the pool under the sunloungers was filthy and not once did we see it get cleaned the blue felt runners at the side of the pool were stinking.
On arrival the bar man (Sarb) tried to charge us £140 for air conditioning, the next day we got it for £70 after speaking to the manager (Hope) who did always try his best but just had to much to do.
We booked Bed and Breakfast so on the first day came down at 9.00am to find no one in sight it seemed you had to wait untill at least 10.00am for some one to wake up and serve you this ment on any days you were going out early you missed breakfast. Breakfast was either a full English on Turkish(1 slice of cucumber half a tomatoe a boiled egg 6 olives and a piece of salami) and tea or coffee, we had two boys aged 10 and 15 who had been having fresh orange or a soft drink after 6 days there we were given a bill for £20 for the soft drinks apparently they were not included in the breakfast you could only have tea or coffee. It is a family run business but the owners just sat down stairs all day whilst the two lads Memet and Hope worked day and night, there was obviusly not enough staff especially cleaning staff.
We also had two nights with no water and the electricity was quite dodgy.
It also states on write ups that it is on the beach but it is at least 500m away.
Very disapointing will not return to this accomodation

Stayed here for one month. Had been few times before and loved it but were very let down this year. Had ground floor apartment which was a nice change from dragging up the stairs in the heat but had all types of crawleys in the apartment. The cleaners come around every two days and change the sheets ( if they are having a good day!) and will change the towels every 4 days. There was not enough cutlery, glasses or cups in the apartment even though it is a 2 bed apt. The air con kept breaking and then started leaking all over our clothes and ruining them. No one had english so was very hard to explain. Was never properly fixed and manager did his very best to avoid us. One of the barmen was rude and violent , if any of your daughters had the priviledge of being fancied by him and could not return the compliment his attitude completely changed and he then started to bite (seriously we had bruises!!!!!!) also he got random ideas that it was great to throw people constantly into the pool regardless of what you were wearing or had in your hand.If you are playing pool for a few minutes he will start hassling you about paying for it. The other two barmen ( "Curly" and S) couldnt have been nicer. Ended up having to stay another week and tried to negotiate a price ( if you have to do this send a man down the owner has no time for women!) decided on a price and the day we were leaving only two women were left to settle the bill as others had earlier flight the manager hid behind his door and screamed out at them that he had decided another amount (needless to say..... he didnt win!!) Tried to get fax in one day and no one knew how to use it they just kept changing the paper. If you are planning a late night make sure you dont, they lock the front door and the only other way you can get in is up a MASSIVE hill. Not recommended after some cocktails!! The market joined to it is lovely and the staff there are very friendly and welcoming. Bitez is a fab resort and i love it to bits, i have been 6 times and plan on returning next summer but i WONT be staying here..!

Excellent family hotel , were the staff can't do enough for you(they made our little girls feel like princess's). The rooms where spacious and clean with excellent views over the bay(there are alot of steps to some of the apartments). The atmosphere around the pool and the bar was great every one chatting and mixing . With the hotel being set on a hill there is the most wonderful breeze making the heat bearable. As for the resort , it is a pleasant 5 minute walk along a pedestrian path that runs beside the beach , then you reach all the restaurant's and bars, i was worried about the hassle we would get when walking by, but it was good natured fun and again made the girls feel very special , the food and service where excellent at all(with the girls getting free ice cream and cocktails) the only one to avoid would be the Mayflower service was rubbish the staff just didn't seem interested. After a meal try the Temple Bar on the way back to the hotel, the staff are great and there is always a theme night going on(belly dancer, salsa). We also went on a great boat trip around the local islands, great value for all day ,lots of time for swimming and not at all over crowded (booked with the BBC) All in all a great family holiday.

Stayed here for one week 7-14th October by this time the complex was in shut down mode. Only five apartments occupied and by the weekend there were two. The bar had no drinks apart from local beer, they did not serve any food or snacks and the bar guy Fredo who was very nice could not speak a word of English. It was a stange feeling having the place to yourself. With so few guests they still did not manage a towel or bed change and cleaning was not high on the list either. For a first visit to Turkey we had a nice week the apartment had faults but at £70 for a week what do you expect, don't think I would like to stay in high season,if the staff can't be bothered when it's quiet think it may be worse when full. Walls are very thin and sound travels, high heels should not be worn unless you don't care about others.Good points the view from the apartment was great.
