We thought this was a great place to stay. The accomodation was clean, comfortable and spacious (we had a 2 bedroomed apartment). The only fault was that the cooking facilities consisted only of 4 electric rings (it would have been useful to have a microwave) and there was no draining board. On the plus side the air-conditioning was great and linen, towels, loo roll, soap and shower gel where all included. We tried 4 of the 8 or so pools on the complex - there is something for everyone, but take a swimming hat if you want to use the indoor pool. Also make sure you look on the board outside the reception office for details of the entertainment (we didn't realise there was anything on until nearly the end of our week). The free bus runs from 9am to 11pm (with a break from noon til 3pm) and takes about 10 minutes to get to the town. It is a really pretty town with loads of great restaurants etc. The main road between the town and the lake was very busy when we were there but the town itself is pedestrianised. Bear in mind that 15th August is a bank holiday and most Italians take their 2 weeks holiday at this time so it will be busier then.

Peschiera is not the prettiest resort on Lake Garda, but it did prove to be an excellent base. The accommodation was well equipped and comfortable, however a toaster or a grill in addition to the hotplates would have been useful.
My only other criticism would be for a family of 4 there was not enough storage space (or did I take too much.....?). The complex was clean and everything easily accessible, unlike other places in the area, it is relatively flat. The three pools were well maintained and getting a sun-bed was not a problem. The main family pool (Laguna) had on tap entertainment and activities for those who wanted it, some days it was a bit of a task to avoid the animators who were all very enthusiastic about their own particular activity. These ranged from water polo and aqua-aerobics to Salsa dancing.
The complex is situated outside the town and walking into town is not advised due to the fact there was no pavements! The free shuttle-bus was very convenient, although at certain times of the day very busy. We did have a car for 10 days which was useful, although the ferries and trains were excellent.
The on-site shop was not open very often and had limited stocks. The restaurant in the hotel was very good, and the grill and the snacks at the pool were tasty but reasonable.
All 4 of us enjoyed our holiday ( mum, dad, 13yr old and an 8 yr old) and yes we would go back.

A very nice place, lovely view off our balcony, however staffing wasn't to a particularly high standard, and the apartment was nice but the beds were slightly uncomfortable and mine creaked a lot! The pool is fantastic and there is so much to do, the poolstaff would come up to selected people and ask if they wanted to do a certain activity. I did darts, football,volleyball and much more, with appropriate transport included, free of charge. Overall a good place to visit, with loads of fantastic surroundings nearby, however staff could be politer but this could just be to do with language problems! It was fun for all the family and I would strongly recommend taking inflatables for the pool, which is fantastic at night when it is all lit up. I would advise you to research some of the language and find out about the opening times of reception, as when we got there we had to wait because of the siesta and as I can gather from other reveiws, the reception has awkward opening times!
