Apartamentos Verdemar

Im just back from 12 days at the Verdamar apartments with 13 friends all of whom are 18 & 19. Unfortunately on my first night i had a very bad fall from a 2nd floor balcony while sleepwalking. I found the staff extremely helpful and received constant visits from both cleaning staff and the manager to check on my condition. The apartments themselves were suitable and comfortable. The location was central (5minutes walk from major nightclubs & town centre). I would recommend the Verdamar Apartments to people of all ages as the location offers something for everyone.

went here with my friends, we are 18. Staff are really friendly (mostly) and they didnt mind what time you stumbled in at night and were quite helpful.
they didnt make it clear that air-con was only a deposit so we spent a week without it!! you also have to pay for the safe but it didnt feel needed anyway.
pools not great but it doesnt matter as you can hop straight into the sea to swim right outside the hotel.
rooms were nice and spacious although we kept getting a sewagey smell in ours after showers .
there is a street of irish bars a few minuets walk away and you can get a texi to magaluf for less than 10 euros.
all round it was a nice hotel with nice staff and i would return.

i went to the verdemar for the past 3 years and i am going again this year for 3 weeks. the staff are great and very friendly and helpful. there is just one guy who serves at the bar who is always cranky but he doesnt get in your way. it is very peaceful. despite all the young children there , it is reasonably quiet during the day. the swimming pool is great and very clean. it gets cleaned every night. it closes at 7 when the lifeguard goes home. the entertainment is also great. the rooms are a reasonable size. a great view from the front. the air conditioning works great. a remote for the television is 10 euro and so is the remote for the air conditioner , but its well worth it. there is no noise what so ever at night time. there a a few lovely restaurants and shops beside the apartments and the town and beach are about 5-10 mins away , it depends on how many shops you stop by on your way down. i recommend the verdemar apartments for all ages.

best place to go...you can have a quiet holiday or you can party till the early morning...good livley bars, good food and friendly people... i have been going there for nearly 20 years as a single lad, boys holiday, as a couple and with my children now..... going back in Sept 2010........:-) cant wait...

The best place going, been to santa ponsa bout 6 and 3 of those times we've come to the verdemar. Great food, entertainment for the kids is great, entertainment at night is fantastic its so close to everything, rooms are of good size but sure you'd only be in there at night :) had two good size rooms with a kitchen/living room and a small kitchen area, balcony has beautiful view and at night your a five minute walk from the beach or the spannish square :) the bar food is unreal, have a 15 year old son and a 18 year old daughter and you couldnt go wrong there, only a 5 minute walk from mc d's so their happy, the hotel is ON the sea so if they wanted to go swimming you needn't move off your sun bed :) i'd recomment this place to everyone.

pleasantly surprised by the location ,staff ,and the general quality of the verdemar after reading some reviews. staff were helpfull and attentive ,during our stay and allthough santa ponsa does not come cheap , food prices were comparable to most cafes or reataurants in the area.would certainlly return to santa ponsa and the verdemar

I went here for 2 weeks in july 2007 with my family and a few friends,
i have to say its a very clean, comfortable place the location is perfect if you use the shorter way you can be in the beach ina few minutes, the apartments are very centrally located with bars nad clubs on each side along with loads of resturants and shops.
hoping to go back soon, the staff were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful if they tried :)

just returned from the verdemar with my wife and 2 year old son,we had a studio apt which i wasnt happy with considering i paid for a 1 bed apt.on the good side of our holiday we had a lovely view from the 6th floor overlooking santa ponsa bay,the swimming pool was nice and not too packed (sunbeds 3.50 euros),lovely beach only 5 mins walk,for entertainment you must go to the square 10 mins walk, for the kids 8.30 til 9.30 then the main acts,we saw westlife,rod stewart,the drifters,and abba,it ends about 11.30pm, plenty of bars to choose from.lots of eating places not too different in price, we had a 2 hour boat trip around the bays for only 10 euros each ( kids under 4 free).
on the downside my only complaint was the rowdy noise every night down below,we heard a fight one night,glasses smashed and loud shouting,singing from drunks in the early hours,we had to have balcony door open to get air in (so hot)which made the noise worse.my only other complaint was the expense, drink is so dear,4 euros a pint in most places,if your one of those people that can drink anything ie:cheap lager you might be ok.even getting essentials from supermarket,bread,milk,water,juice etc cost 50 euros.all in all great resort but i wouldn go back to the verdemar.

Well 6 of us arrived with a booking for an Apartment only to be given 3 box, sorry studio
accomodation. The reception staff was most unpleasent, we went out and about most nights to Shamrock, flamingos etc. just kept to ourselfs. However on the second night Saturday we arrived back at 11pm hung arounf the bar area down stairs then went up stairs and went to bed. Shortly after had a knock at the door from the exact security gaurd description above, who said'' Your making to much noise can I have your iPod/stereo'' I for one just laughed and said'' the lights are out I'm sleeping and I dont have an iPod''
He then said just give it to me or I'll call the police so I stepped back and let him try and find my iPod to which he then said can I have your passport. I said no sorry dont give out passports. He paused then said just keep the noise down I said fine okay good night. Shortly after I was awakened by music from up strairs,
So I got on my flip flops, marched downed to reception to find him standing there I pionted out the noise from above he shrugged his shoulders grunted then I left.
The staff appart from him are hopeless.. if your a young group honestly avoid this place I seen guys getting dragged out of the pool at 11.45pm seen a few getting pushed to the ground by police and what were they doing with hardly any niose just standing in the pool not drunk just to cool down, no air con and it was 114 degrees the hottest yet.
The accomodation was very poor cleaning was very good, entertainment was shocking, but Santa Ponsa was brilliant just aviod this place.

stayed in the verdamer apartments in oct 08
the staff is terrible
they kicked my boy4end out the 3rd night we were there as he was a little drunk
also heard off other young people being kicked out and beting up by security guards that work there
very aggressive staff
would never recommandition any one to stay here it was awful
