Reviews of Ola Aparthotel Bouganvillia, Santa Ponsa

I stayed at the Bouganvillia in August 2007, I have to be honest I hated it. It was probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I stayed there 13 years ago with my own parents and it hasn't changed much since.



To start with you can't get a seat at the pool you would want to be up at the crack of dawn, the staff were ignorant and the kids were running riot in it. I looked over my balcony at one stage and there was a little boy in the pool on his own as his parents sat drinking on their balcony four floors up.



The entertainment for the kids was very poor and probably lasted ten minutes each night. Myself and my family always found ourselves down in the Spanish square where you guaranteed some entertainment. Overall Santa Ponsa wasn't a bad place but the only thing I looked forward to on my holiday was the flight home! I can honestly say I wont be back there any time soon.

We had a brilliant stay in the Bouganvillia. I would go back again. The staff are so polite and can't do enough for you. The apartments are lovely and well maintained. The air conditioning is set by the management and comes on at 4pm and goes off at 9am. If you are still in bed after 9am you really feel the heat. We got clean towels everyday. And clean sheets every second day.



This apartment complex is ideal for families. There are 2 swimming pools. One for the really young and then the bigger pool for everyone else. They have a life guard on duty everyday.



The poolside bar and restaurant was slightly more pricey than in the main centre. They have an entertainment group who look after the kids all day and who organise games and tournaments. They have adult shows on every evening which are good.



The Bouganvillia are about a 10min walk into Santa Ponsa centre. It’s an ideal setting if you want to be somewhere quite. As a couple, we found it great to be close to the hub of activity and night life but yet far enough away not to be disturbed by all night party revellers!



We found Aqualand a rip off. It was €18.50 to get in and it was something like €4 for a burger no drink & no fries. The Western water park is supposed to be much better! I can't comment as i didn't go. We also went to Marineland. It was €20 to get in and again the food prices we scandalous. The queue for the Dolphin show started about 2 hours before the show. The good thing about Marineland is that they look after sick animals and then release them back into the wild when they are better.



It was a great holiday and I would recommend Santa Ponsa and especially the Bouganvillia to anyone.
