We went to this hotel March 2010, it is an hotel for old people, it caters for long term winter breaks of 6 weeks or more for pensioners to have a winter break from the UK coldness, nothing wrong with that. Unless you are under 70 which is the problem.
a] by 10.30 all the old folks have gone to their beds so everything starts to shut down.
b] the entertainment [2 days a weeks] also caters for older folk [crooner singer, 1960s disco]
c] The food is ok for the price, no complaints.
d] The location is the worst bit, it is too far from the town centre and is high up on the hill, there is a market in the daytime but it shuts early. Everything is cosed in the evening and there is nothing to do in the area.
e] Bus transport is ok in the day but ends at 5pm. Then it is taxi at 10 euros each way!!.
f] If you must stay here, dont get a room that overlooks the street, by 6am the traffic noise [and view] is so bad you cant sleep. Pay 10 euro a day extra for a sea view for a decent sleep and view [even if the sea is 5 miles away]
g] we booked all inclusive but when we arrived it mysteriously turned into all inclusive 'light' which seems to be a new phrase, it means you csn only have 'crap' local drinks instead of decent ones.
h] This hotel caters for pensioners, if you are a pensioner you might like it. If you are under 70 I would try somewhere else.
- Advice: Over 70 great place, under 70 go elsewhere.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel the last week in March 09 and before we went had heard so much about Cyprus we were really looking forward to our first visit. Unfortunately I don't feel we got it quite right, this was definitely the wrong time to come to this hotel as firstly it was mostly retired couples who were staying here. The hotel, although it states central, is actually about 3kms from the centre of the town where most of the resort is actually based down at the harbour but it actually located right in the middle of the shopping area with most of the front room balconies looking into the main street with lots of cars etc passing by.We had to pay an extra 54Euro to upgrade to a sea/pool view as the room we were allocated was to the front and was small and quite dingy looking but it was worth it as this room was much better. We booked our holiday as we thought "all inclusive" so were quite disappointed to find that this hotel only did "light inclusive" (in all my years travelling this was the fist time I had ever heard of this - meals were included but drinks could only be local beer, wine, tea or soft drinks and only to 11pm)As I don't drink any of the beers or wine we had to pay about 5Euro for every drink I had - as we had already paid quite a high price for the holiday this added yet more to our overall cost on top of the upgrade cost. The selection of food was also very basic and unfortunately on my 2nd day there I got food poisoning and was very ill for >24hrs of my holiday. As we felt let down we decided to hire a car and this was probably the best thing we done (although more cost-112Euro for 2dys) as we got out and about and saw some of the splendid scenery that really was breathtaking! If I went back it definitely wouldn't be to Agapinor as it was very disappointing from all aspects.

Stayed at this hotel last year. Arrived at hotel on sunday evening about eight oclock, to find resturant had shut, thought we would just have to go outside to find plenty of resturants, what a joke everything was shut roundabout the hotel. Walked up to the Market all shut as well Ended walking about two miles before we found a pizza resturant. The location of this hotel was terrible. Sea view a joke take your telescope, the sea was in the distance. If you like Mothercare marks and spencers, they were next door. You were a good forty five minutes walk in to the town of Paphos, last bus was at seven oclock. Two lots of entertainments a week, pub next door had a singer on couple of times a week. NO FRIDGE IN ROOM .ROOMS KEPT CLEAN THOUGH BREAKFAST BASIC BUT PLENTY OF IT AS MUCH COFFEE AND TEA AS YOU LIKE. Pool area was clean and plenty of sun beds a bit crammed at times good thing you were not allowed in pool till after ten after breakfast had finished, bad thing though pool shut at six oclock. Staff were all friendly though, and hotel itself was comfortable.
- Advice: If you are looking for entertainment pick a hotel nearer Paphos.

Our first visit to Cyprus and the location was picked purely on availability combined with sun and temperatures in late October. Very pleased with choice, we thought accommodation, particularly with a sea view balcony, was adequate and the food very good value for money with plenty of choice. The location was a little away from the harbour but fine if you enjoyed walking. The staff were helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. We preferred to be out and about so were not interested in the entertainment which appeared to cater for more elderly guests, 60+ rather than us more sprightly 50's! I would certainly stay there again.

The hotel is in the town of Paphos about 1 and a quarter miles from the harbour. I walked it every day taking me 35 minutes. Family and friends were staying in the Kefalonitis in the Kings Road and I walked that in 25 minutes. To take a bus would have meant changing buses involving the waiting. Taxis are expensive. To taxi to the harbour area is £4CYP during the day £5CYP after midnight which equates to £5UK and £6.25UK.
The hotel is mediocre, the staff very friendly and helpful, most are Polish. The room was kept clean and there was TV available not pay as you view.
The food however was a problem. Breakfast was good. The evening meal starter a mixture of salads was excellent, the desserts likewise excellent, but the main course was at times awful.
The hot food was kept warm in metal lidded containers that emitted steam when opened so that the grilled chicken was not that lovely golden colour but grey and falling off the bones resulting in tasteless bland steamed meat. I daresay some like it that way but I prefer a bit of flavour.
The other grumble was the incessant background music played in the dining room, the pool area and the bar area. For the first three days I put up with rap and thump thump thump modern young folks tastes but had to ask for it either to be turned off or something more calm and suitable for the age group staying there which was predominantly over mid fifties.
They did change the music which I appreciated as one could hardly write home having a relaxing time by the pool. The staff I repeat were excellent.

It's time to have an updated review on this hotel. We had read some reviews before leaving on our holiday and it left us wondering a little if we had made a mistake in booking this hotel - my husband and I were both delighted to find it a friendly well run hotel.
It's location is in the old town of Paphos which is 2 miles from all the bars and restaurants. No problem if you don't mind lots of walking!
Rooms are spacious; we had a sea view which I would recommend booking as the alternative is the balcony overlooking a busy street with a view of shops and apartments. Plenty of storage space and bathroom adequate.
When we arrived it was very hot and humid, so the AC was on all the time with all doors closed. We did find the hallway on the third floor from our room to the lift to be very warm in the early evening.
The maid was friendly and efficient, towels changed every day, bed linen every 3rd day. TV with three English news channels and one channel with movies/documentaries in English, although we were watching a movie that was interrupted before the end by a football match!
Pools/Sunbeds. The hotel's terrace for sunbathing is not that big, and the sun doesn't get round to most of the beds until 11am. There are plenty of sunbeds; however they are placed close to each other because space is a premium. Pools both the large pool and the kiddies pool are both very clean.
Breakfast was the same every day. Only difference was scrambled eggs and boiled eggs alternating. Previous reviews I read are correct about it being a bit of a scrum, but this is purely caused by everyone wanting breakfast between 9am and 9,.30am - and the toaster and hot drinks being situated together.
I think if they moved the toaster that would solve a lot of the congestion in this one area, but that's a suggestion to be put to the hotel. I think the choice of 4 different cereals, three types of bread, cake, fruit, cheese, cold meat and of course bacon, sausage, egg and beans, along with three types of juice, tea, coffee, etc is plenty of choice for most people.
Didn't have lunch at all in the hotel, I did have afternoon tea and was served a lovely piece of chocolate cake.
Dinner service was a bit more formal, we thought the food was fine, we particularly loved the salads and fruit and their carvery night I can highly recommend. The gammon is to die for and I love their potatoes! Now whilst I said the fruit was lovely, for me this was all I really liked about the sweets.
They served a gateaux or cheesecake and individual bowls of different coloured cold custard or jelly. They twice had rice pudding that was very nice. By the time I had a big plate of salad for a starter and then a bit of everything on offer for main, I wasn't looking for too much more anyway. So mostly just had melon and grapes or an apple.
Entertainment was a DJ twice weekly and a singer on Sunday. So 4 of the 7 nights there was no entertainment and only one small bar nearby, so after 7pm you need to get a taxi to Kato Paphos, which costs £5CY (£6GBP). So given the location of the hotel, they could do better on the entertainment side?
Location, now I think this is the biggest problem for a lot of people, it's 2 miles for the main tourist part or Kato Paphos which is where you find bar street, the harbour with all the fish restaurants and all the shops (souvenir, jewellery, leather etc). As I said above its £5CY each way in a taxi or £0.70CY on the bus, but the bus service stops at 7pm (ish) so after that time you can only travel by taxi or it's a bit of a walk.
Now we enjoyed the walking (comfortable shoes a must). On a plus the old town has all the non-tourist shops and the Market just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Marks and Spencer, Mothercare, are just next door to the hotel. If you like shops, especially shoe shops, this is where you'll find them. We didn't find any bargains though. Only some table linen which we bought for Christmas Day.
Everything else we bought because we liked it, not because it was cheap! We liked the location, no ticket touts here, and no loud music at night must be a plus. I think it suits middle aged to older couples the most.
Places I'd like to give a special mention to are:-
Phuket Chinese & Thai Restaurant, Tomb of the Kings Road
Very nice food and lovely restaurant, staff all dressed traditionally, service first class.
Colosseum Italian & Steakhouse, 101 Danaes Street
We went for the Elton John Tribute by Andrew Oliver. If you are an Elton John fan, you are in for a real treat. Andrew Oliver has put a lot of effort into his act and is definitely worth seeing. He also appears at other venues during the week but twice weekly here. We both had steak and this was first class.
Tea for Two (one a few doors up from the hotel, the other on the Tomb of the Kings Road)
Lovely pot of tea in a china pot with china cups and saucers. They serve English type food, in particular a very nice cheese omelette which comes with salad, chips, and a warm roll.
Outback Bar - Tomb of the Kings Road
Wonderful Sunday Roast (both Sundays!) beef just melts in the mouth.
To sum up, we had a great holiday and this 3 star hotel lives up to its stars - don't confuse it with a 4 star, it is a 3 star! Not ideal for families or people wanting a livelier holiday, but for a quiet sun loving holiday, with a good deal of walking, it's great!

It was mine and my partners 1st time in Cyprus; we wanted to go all inclusive so we didn't have to worry about money while we were over there.
The hotel was lovely very clean, tidy and quiet. The pool was nice although not huge, but the right size if the hotels not too full.
It's a bit out of the way so expect some walking if you want to go down into the main part.
We were however disappointed in the drinks for all inclusive you had a choice of the local beer or wine (red/white), this wasn't good considering we had paid all inclusive so we could stay in and have a drink on a night.
We found we had to go out elsewhere because the beer was definitely not the greatest and the wine was horrible. On the plus side the bottles of water and soft drinks were included during the day.
The evening food was lovely and they had a different option most nights like, bbq and carvery. The club sandwich by the way is eggs and chicken! For those of us that don’t like eggs don't go there, however my partner does and he enjoyed it.
Overall we had a really nice holiday; rooms are fully aircon'd so that's a bonus.
The staff were mostly great especially Theo.

Accommodation very tired room in desperate need of re-decoration. Mastic around bath black and mouldy. Pool area very cramped.
Our stay was All Inclusive, but upon arrival we were informed that it was light inclusive, which meant, drinks consisted of house red or white wine and 2 local beers. All spirits, including local spirits and some beers had to be paid for.
Location of hotel, another down point. 3 kilometres from The Harbour. Everything closed down around the hotel at 8pm and the last bus to the harbour was 7pm.
Entertainment was supplied on 2 nights which was also very poor. All in all a bad choice of hotel.

When booking our holiday with going places we was informed that our hotel was aprox 10 min walk to the land of the kings and a short journey to the harbour, but in fact we was left right at the top of a hill in the middle of the old town centre, shops under us that closed at 7 pm, with no bars or anywhere to eat.
As for our room very basic and small and you are forbidden to use an iron, if done so will be taken from your room and not returned until the end of your holiday.
And I don’t know what happened to the sea/mountain view one of our rooms was sea view if you had a telescope, and my room was of Cypriots apartment over looking which made the balcony not useful.
We spent two weeks in this hotel yes 3 adults and (7) children they were all upset and couldn’t wait to get home. A very lot of money and no enjoyment. And as everywhere was closed at night the hotel only provided entertainment 2 times a week.

As per usual the hotel looked great from the pictures that we were shown - however when we got there we didn't get off the coach because we couldn't actually see the hotel but ours was the last stop so we knew it was our stop.
So we got off and noticed JUST THE DOORS to the hotel. The hotel didn't have its own grounds and the front of the hotel was actually just a row of shops - which we weren't told about before we booked. With it being quite an expensive holiday we thought we had asked all the right questions and wasn't expecting any problems at all with it being 3* rated anyway.
Our room was on the second floor at the front of the hotel - right above a clothes shop called Firetrap. The main road was also quite narrow so people in there apartments could see straight into our room so we couldn't use the tiny balcony provided.
We also had a bit of a bug problem and had to ask at reception for that to be sorted out. They did sort it out but after that they left the bug spray for us to sort out anything else.
The pool was very small and all the loungers were dirty looking as if they had been there since the hotel opened in the 80s.
We asked for the hotel NOT to be child friendly as we wanted a quiet time to relax - that was not the case there were kids everywhere screaming and shouting from morning till night.
We asked for the hotel to be as close to the beach as possible with the budget we had - we had to get a taxi every time we went out because it was actually 2 miles!
By the way it was my Honeymoon and i was 7 months pregnant! Great time!
