myself and my partner stayed in Aspa appartments as a last minute deal in September 2007. I will defiantly not return, I understand that the accommodation was basic, but I didn’t expect dirty. We were given one toilet roll and two towels to last a week, I then spoke to a member of staff about the possibility of more toilet rolls and were given a handful of napkins!! Our bed sheets were not changed the whole time we were there. The electricity also kept going out, our shower was broken, we couldn’t sleep because the air condition was loose and rattled all night…..I could go on!! The restaurant and pub seemed to be the main focus of the staff; they were not too concerned about guests. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced…as for Kos in general, it didn’t have a great atmosphere and the people were not that pleasant; I don’t think I will return in a hurry. Mama Rosa's resturant was lovely!! Great pasta!

Great central location. Apartments are plain but nice. Would go back to Kos. This location was perfect near enought to everything yet not noisy.

The only thing that could improve these apartments is a pool! But other than that, my stay here was my best ever holiday.
The staff are so wonderfully friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean and the location is ideal. Not even a five minute walk to the beach. The boomerang restaurant beneath the apartments is fantastic value. I think we ate nearly every meal there for a whole week!
The breakfasts are so cheap and the menu for dinner is really varied- pizzas, Indian, steaks, and traditional Greek food too. The Irish bar Shenanigans is great too, you only have to stumble upstairs to your room after your night out!
I would highly recommend these apartments to other couples and I can’t wait to go back

Allocated this accommodation on arrival, last minute booking. As previously stated the location description is spot on. 5 Minutes from the main harbour area and not even 5 minutes from the beach. Loads of supermarkets nearby, motorbike hire place along the road (Moto Harley) are Dutch run and people very friendly.
Regarding the Aspa 1, clean and in good order, staff are excellent. Alice is particularly nice and very chatty. Food there I found to be very good. Don’t bother looking elsewhere for a good cooked breakfast, there’s is spot on and at 5 euros very good value for money. On reflection I think we had the majority of our evening meals there and I found the food to be of a good standard and competitively priced.
I must recommend the curry, I adore curries and I tried them all on the menu bar the Korma and I have never tasted such a "fresh" tasting Asian meal, you could really pick out the delicate tastes of all the ingredients.
Finally, check out Shenanigans bar next door (owned by same folks) for a good old night on the drink!

I took a last minute holiday and I was allocated on arrival to The Aspa Apartments which are situated in the centre of Kos Town. They are located above The Boomerang Restaurant and Shenanigans Irish Bar.
The apartments are within a five minute walk of Kos Town Harbour and the beach. All guests have access to the pool across the road.
These apartments have recently been refurbished and are in good condition. The apartments are tiled throughout, they have a great showers with loads of hot water and a hair dryer. The apartments have Air Conditioning, Safety Deposit Boxes, Fridge, Microwave Oven, Hob, Coffee Machine, Kettle and a furnished Balcony.
I had a meal in The Boomerang Restaurant which was very good value for money, they have an extensive menu of Greek, International and Indian Dishes, you should definitely give it a try.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike and ALL his staff for making my stay at The Aspa Holiday Apartments a memorable one.

After booking with first choice holidays and their staff in the Crayford branch managing to make a complete mess of our booking, our party of 4 booked 2 apartments in Kos Town, at Anastsia Aparthotel. We were shown pictures on the internet at the store of the apartments at anastsia, which looked nice, clean, seperate kitchen area, seperate seating area, white bathroom suites. When we arrived we found we'd been given 2nd floor rooms instead of ground floor apartments. We specifically asked for ground floor apartments as 2 of our party were disabled!. The rooms were dirty, smelly, the toilet didnt work properly and there were little black bugs crawling around. I knew it wasn't what we ordered straight away as the bathroom suite was a horrible brown colour and very old, unlike the pictures that we were shown instore. We had specifically asked for air con, as one of our party had medical probs and required air con. Our air con turned out to be a fan, which had definitely seen better days and did nothing to cool the room!
We complained like anything as we had nothing we booked for and, we'd even paid extra for breakfast in the hotel, which was a selection of ham, cheese, bread, jam, coffee and some cake thing, all of this was left open to flies and other bugs floating/crawling around. Nothing was covered.
We ended up at the Aspa apartments after complaining like mad. This was everything we had booked in the first place. The apartments were clean, the air con was there and it worked! The bathrooms were lovely, the showers were brilliant. The sheets on the beds were changed every couple of days, towels were changed every couple of days to, but we had our own towels anyway. We ended up not using the kitchen for cooking as the food in the Boomerang restaurant downstairs, was so good, we ate there morning and night, and it was all very well priced. As for the staff, they were fantastic! Mike, Tracey, Alice, and Carlos, were brilliant! As we walked into with all our luggage, Alice 'Welcomed us Home' which was so lovely, they all went out of their way to make our time there special. I also noticed this with other guests, there was so many that were turning up had stayed at the hotel before and were going back for further stays. It really is a home from home. Anything we needed or wanted, we only had to ask and it was there. You gotta try Alice and Tracey's Frappe's. They are the best!!!!!! In shanningans is were Thaner works, she is such a laugh, she's brilliant.
We loved it there so much, we are going back again next year, only this time, me and my fiancee are getting married out there, and 2 of the staff, Mike and tracey have agreed to be our witnesses. Once you been to Aspa, Boomerang and shanningans, yu wont want to go anywhere else!
