WHERE TO START,FIRSTLY THERE WAS NO KIDS CLUB WHICH WE WERE TOLD THERE WAS,THEY HAD A GUY WHO CAME AT 12 TO 6 AND PLAYED BINGO DARTS AND KILLER POOL I DONT THINK THATS A KIDS CLUB,THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN BUT THE CONDITION OF THEM WAS VERY BAD,BROKEN TILES CHIPPED DOORS NO TRAVEL COT ON ARRAIVEL NO CLEN BED LINNEN ONLY EVERY OTHER DAY NO BATH MICROWAVE AIR CON,TELLY HAD NO ENGLISH CHANNEL THE WHOLE PLACE WAS LIKE FALTY TOWERS.THE LIFT NEVER WORKED WHAT A DUMP,THE ONLY NICE THING WAS THE POOL,I WONT BE GOING BACK

We stayed at the Ipanmea Park for two weeks. On arrival the apartment was unclean and we requested someone come and clean the room. It was the next morning before this was done.
The pool area is lovely and the staff were excellent. The rooms are in great need of some decorating as they are pretty run down. We also experienced problems with ants. Until the rooms have been decorated I would not recommend these apartments to anyone. We requested to keep our room on the last day as we had an evening flight. We were told this was not possible even although there were no new arrivals. We were given access to a shared room where we could have a shower. This room had dirty towels in it and dead insects on the floor.
Overall the staff and location are excellent. The pool is very nice but the rooms require some work.

For the money paid and the 2 star rating these apartments provide good accommodation.
I and my boyfriend went and the room was spacious and had a separate floor for the bedroom and bathroom.
There is only one pool so I recommend getting up early and there are a lot of steps down to the harbour. Close to restaurants and crazy golf and good view over the sea.
Overall a pleasant holiday.

Just back home, had holiday of a life time, basic but very clean apartments,great view of the marina to wake up to every morning, weather was very hot too, would recommend it to any one who does not mind the 166 steps up to it , although taxi’s are very cheap, 2 to 3 euro only local.
The commercial centre is only 20 minutes walk and you will find plenty off restaurants to suite many tongues, myself I preferred San Migels which is the best restaurant in the centre, you’ll notice it is the only one with a queue outside, the others are quant but can be annoying when the haggle you for your custom.
Also enjoyed as much you can eat Chinese restaurant at the end of the centre for 5.98 euros a steal.
Make sure you take a ferry trip to the very pictuesc pot de morgan on Friday mornings its market day and for 10 euro an adult and 5 euro, a child return is a steal too.
Hope you enjoy your trip as much as I did.

Not long back from Ipanema Park. Cannot fault accommodation in any one way. The rooms were very clean, excellent cleaning done five days per week. Lovely staff all-round.
Only downfall for me was the lack of entertainment at night. Other than that, an excellent place to stay. Pool area is spotless with a good size pool, kiddies' pool is a good size also. I would definitely stay in this resort again.

Very basic accommodation but the nicest most helpful staff you could wish for. Both at reception, cleaners and bar staff.
Lovely clean pool with plenty of sun beds at this time of year!
Beautiful views over the harbour but beware of this place if you don't like stairs - approx 160 in all!
Best restaurant on the island has to be Toro Bravo, situated upstairs to the supermarket nearest the apts. Fantastic food, superb service, can't rate it high enough.
The main commercial centre a short taxi ride away (taxi's very cheap and metered) was not for us as we don't like to be hassled but worth a look at the shops.
Although I advise never pay the first price you are given as a handbag cost me 35 Euros even though the tag said 79 Euros. Great family holiday with lots of memories.

We were a bit dubious about booking these apartments as they were only 2 stars, but of all the reviews we read, we couldn’t find a bad word to be said about them.
On arrival we were not disappointed. The apartments are clean and spacious and have a fabulous power shower.
Maid service was almost every day with clean towels supplied and beds were changed twice weekly.
All apartments have sea view, and have the sun all day long. There is a very spacious sun terrace with bar and a nice sized pool.
Our only complaint was that the pool heating system was broken when we were there, so the pool was pretty cold.
There are quite a lot of steps around the complex, so not really suitable for people with walking difficulties or prams. There is a supermarket and a small selection of bars/restaurants within a few minutes walk.
The main beach/harbour, bars and restaurants are about a 15 min stroll, so just far enough away for you to be away from any noise.
I would definitely recommend the Ipanema, and we are going back in October.
Puerto Rico itself is nice, but the touts are a real pain, and they don’t leave you alone for a minute, so ignore them and avoid eye contact. Try Mama Pino's for a steak.

I have got to be honest, when I read some of the remarks made by some travellers I was a bit dubious about booking the ipanema, but , I am so glad we did, we all enjoyed it there, there were 6 of us, all different ages 20,20,36,35,48.49.
The apartments were very clean, cleaned 7/8 days we were there, everything you needed in an apartment, kettle, toaster, tv, lovely beds, beautiful views over the marina were breathtaking, we even had complementary wine and fruit on arrival.
Staff were always friendly especially the guy in the restaurant, overall I can’t say enough about these apartments, so much so we are going back as soon as we can, I’ve taken some great photos of these apartments, you can contact if need be.

I went on holiday with a group of friends and as we are students we didn't expect the accommodation to be up to much. We were extremely surprised when we arrived and saw the layout of the accommodation.
The rooms were very spacious, really clean and comfortable. The pool was excellent and there seemed to be quite a mix of tourists, from young couples to groups of friends and families as well. Although it was quite a walk into the main shopping centre, taxis only cost about 3 euros and were readily available. There was also a small supermarket on site which was very handy.
Overall I really enjoyed my experience in Puerto Rico and in Ipanema Park and for the price that we paid, I would recommend it to anyone wanting a last minute cheap deal but with high expectations of good accommodation!

The apartment was simple and very spacious. It had everything you would need including a toaster which was so handy! It could have done with an iron and an ironing board all the same!
The shower was excellent and the beds comfy! It was very clean too. The staff were very efficient and friendly! The pool is a good size with a divided children’s section which was great!
The apartments were not far from the centre and there always taxis available!
I would definitely go back to Ipanema!

Friendly Staff clean rooms Nice pool and a Creat massage at poolside. Good entertainment at night although I did have to tell a few jokes myself.
All you need is close at hand shops restaurants bars clubs and a really great Irish bar I found it was great for the entertainment as I do love the Irish but you can people from all around the world in the Irish bars.
In the day time there is lots to do down on the beaches. It’s a really nice walk to the beach but I do love walking my wife and I had a great time and are planning a return next year.

We had a great new year at the Ipanema park very clean and friendly and the walk into town was a lot easier than I thought.
If you walk down the steps to the shops there is the best Indian in town and the hot spot is an English run bar so chaps you can enjoy a pint while your wife goes shopping at the Netto where you can obtain up to date news papers and watch the footy.
I would definitely go back again we have booked for next new year but at a different hotel due to lack of availability.

The apartment was clean. That’s important. It was quite basic but had everything it needed, the only things I could have wanted were a bath (although I must say the shower was a good one) and a toaster.
The staff were polite and helpful, even when our flight left in the middle of the night. The pool was great, a separate kiddies section. The poolside bar was ok, clean, not very efficient service as the same staff seemed to have to do everything. The food and cocktails were of a good standard.
It's a bit of a walk to the main restaurant/ bar/ shopping area of Puerto Rico, with lots of steps. Take shoes you can walk comfortably in!

If I had 2 choose between going 2 sumwere in ireland or going back 2 ipanema park
I would choose Ipanema park xx..........
Advice: It is a lovely place 4 a holiday
