Just back from a week in this hotel. My friend and i went with the impression that there would be plenty of young people staying here, and that we would get a good holiday being in a quieter area of Playa Del Ingles but just a short walk away from the clubs. The hotel was... more

Greenfields Forever
Stayed in green field Apartments, for one week.Came home june 12th.Travelled with my 13 year old. the front desk was excellent,Staff were fluent in english Excellent standard of customer service. Apartment was spotless and welcoming. Beds were single leather frame ,with good clean mattress. Bed linen fresh. Supermarket, pub restaurants on site.Even post box at reception.Including 2 message chairs ,which eased my back from travelling. Beautiful pool area and excellent gardener on site, who tended the gardens every morning, all plants were in bloom with a gorgeous aroma which was lovely. Good location.took a trip into porta del morgan,a beautiful town with quirky little gift shops, a small sandy beach, and an excellent harbour. From which I took a trip on a Submarine. Great fun and well advised. Thank you to all in Greenfields Enjoyed my visit immensely.
Good Budget Accomodation
Stayed in Green Field Aparthotel on the 17th May 08 for a week with 3 friends. We were given 2 twin rooms which I was pleasantly surprised by. They are a good size with kitchen facilities, including toaster, cooking hobs and a fridge. We were at the side of the hotel on the 1st floor so hadn't any view, but the it was reasonably quiet. Luckily for us the nightclub thats joined to the hotel 20ft from our room wasn't open while I was there but i would imagine it could get very noisy when it gets going. The hotel was clean and buffet breakfast was very good, wide selection of food including a full english breakfast. The pool area was a good size and we had no trouble getting sun loungers. Partly due to the fact that 90% of the holiday makers were over 60 and didn't sit out much. There's a main road that runs directly behind the pool area, it's hidden by a wall but there is always a buzz of traffic although it never was that noticable. I'd highly recommend hiring a car and heading into the mountains, the scenery is magnificient. We got a clio for 40 euro for the day from the hire shop beside the Green Park hotel. In summary i'd suggest that if you're in playa del ingles just to lie in the sun and go out at night Green Field will meet your needs. But if you prefer a bit of relaxation i'd look elsewhere and avoid playa del ingles altogether.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Greenfield from 19th may to 26th. We went all inclusive but seemed to be the only ones apart from one other couple. All other guests were self catering spanish aged 60+!! They were quite rude but we managed to ignore them and the plus side was that they didn't use the pool area during the day so there was no need to wake up early to put the towels out! The pool is huge and lovely to cool down in when the heat is too much. Staff are friendly but do like to serve the paying customers first! If you go self catering you'll get pint sized drinks whereas all inclusive guests get half sized. The hotel room was great and cleaned daily. The location is fantastic and close to everything...beach, shops, pubs and clubs. Food very repetative.
lovely
it's prefect and good helpful for disability and room is very clear good so will back again
Pleasantly Surprised
Booked our trip as a budget holiday package. Stayed at Green Field ApartHotel and were pleasantly suprised with the quality of these budget accommodations. We requested a balcony near pool through our travel booking and were given one overlooking the pool. This is on the back side of the hotel closer to the freeway, but it's much quieter than the rooms with balconies on the front of the hotel, which overlook the Irish pub area. Very noisy. Clean rooms, big shower with hot water, rooms cleaned every day except Tues and Thurs (maid's days off). The beds weren't too bad, but we did have ask for more pillows because those two in the room were flat. Extra pillows were provided. Very clean pool area and the hotel was always clean. Loved the massage chairs and internet access in the lobby (2 euro for 5-6 minute massage and coins for internet access). Poor front desk service, especially in the morning. Couldn't answer any questions about directions, restaurant locations, etc. - but this isn't a hotel, so I guess concierge-like helpfulness should not be expected. (We found the night staff much more helpful than the day staff at the front desk.) We are so glad we only purchased bed and breakfast - not full board. The buffet breakfast was perfectly fine (you cannot mess up toast, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice), but I would not want to eat cafeteria food every day in the basement of an apartment hotel for 7 days. (They served traditional Irish breakfast, but we did not eat th eggs, rashers, beans, etc.) Pool is shaded in the mornings, and in winter, we found it was sunnier (i.e. warmer) often at the coast just a few blocks away. This hotel is only three blocks from the east end of the Paseo Costa Canaria promenade. Gorgeous way to pass the time, walking along the promenade. Kashbah Center and Parque Tropical bus station is only five minutes walk too.
Much better than expected!
Having read some bad reviews on this place I was a little hesitant to book it but chose it as it was so central. We got such a nice surprise. We were given a studio which was small but perfect for what we needed-might be cramped for three. The rooms were very clean and cleaned regularly throughout the week with fresh towels provided each time. The pool was great and as it was a quiet time there was plenty of chairs available. The pool-side bar was great, as was the pool-side masseuse!!!. Our room faced the pool which was great for blocking the noise from the bars but that wouldn't have bothered us much anyway. We were quite surprised by the number of +50 people staying there but they were still good fun. The only let-down was the breakfast but you could still eat well on the breads and cheeses. Overall I would receommend this place to anyone.
Infestation
The room I satyed in looked clean when I unpacked my clothes and went for a walk when I came back the place was infested with all know and some unknown Insects, When I reported this to the hotel they didn't believe me and I got no straight answer from the reception until I got onto the tour operator in Dublin and only then did they change the room but it was not much better. Overall this hotel was the worst i've ever stayed in and would never be back. Terrible Rooms, Service and Pool areas very poor for a 3 star hotel or so they claim.
Cockroach Hotel
We recently stayed in the Green Field Aparthotel. Everything was fine for the first few days even if the apartments are small and cramped. The problems started when we went down to breakfast and found a dead cockroach on the bacon they were serving to guests. Upon further inspection we found that food in the kitchen was left out in the open on a table, perfect conditions for other insects and vermin to thrive. We made a complaint to the management but are still awaiting an explanation.
Awful
Stayed at the Green Field for New Year 2007. Hotel was very basic. I was given a studio apartment on the ground floor. Was greeted by a dead cockroach by the patio doors in the room. Also had to hit one in the middle of the night when I got up to go to the toilet. My room was falling apart. The toilet seat was only held on by one hinge. The hot water in the shower went out after about five minutes. You have to put money in a meter to watch the TV. Breakfast was horrible. Powdered orange juice and condensed milk in the coffee. Bread was stale. The pool was small and there were never any free sun loungers. Got shouted at by the woman running the "pool bar" because I had dared to go to the pool with some food I had bought at the supermarket (was told I was only allowed to buy from them!). The location of the hotel is good with lots of bars nearby. Restaurants were cheap. If you only want to stay at this hotel for somewhere to sleep (and you don't mind cockroaches) then it is okay, otherwise I wouldn't bother!
Absolutely loved it! going back asap!
The Greenfield aparthortel, is a perfect destination for young holidaymakers going to party and catch some sun! It is situated across the road from the lively party centre the Irish Centre, and about a five minute walk to the beach. Although the Irish centre is right across the road, noise levels are quite low at night. The are 2 supermarkets beside the complex stocking a wide range of foods and goods. The pool area is very clean, and the poolside bar serves a wide range of snacks, and beerages, including tasty cocktails! The pool itself is large and heated, and the poolsode jacuzzi is an added bonus! The aprtments are large, and spacious with more than enough room for 3 people, the studios are slightly smaller and fit 2 people comfortably. The aprtment, have tv and music and a spacious living and dining area with lots of storage space in the living area and bedroom area. The staff on the 24 hour reception are friendly and helpful. i would reccomend this complex to all! cantr wait to go back!
