I was horrified at some of the reviews, but we decided to make our own minds up. The hotel was spotless, the food was fantanstic if you couldnt choose from what they had to offer then stay at home. The staff always had a smile and were very helpful.Yes it was a little noisy but you are on your hols and are meant to have a good time. I wasnt even charged any extra to keep my room on.
I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANY ONE.

Myself and my partner have just returned from a 5 day all inclusive break at Green Field. It was truly amazing! Yes the drinks in the day come in plastic glasses, but what do you expect when A) they are served pool side and B) it is only a 2/3 star hotel!!!! The staff were great towards us and treated us with more care, respect and as a couple than we would ever find in england (may I add here we are two guys). The food was great each night, not a vast choice but a good choice, and was all great tasting. The entertainment was really good (even though I had to see my partner with a snake wrapped round him - my worst fear!). The room was cleaned every day! The room was lovely too! We only booked for a short get away from work etc and ended up having one of the most wonderful holidays we have ever had. All I can say is anyone who has complaints about this place must have preconcieved ideas of what a hotel is like just because it host an all-inclusive package. If you want 5 star treatment, go to a 5 star resort. Oh and just learning a few words of spanish can go a long way!

6 of us booked this hotel as a.i. we range from 19-38 yesrs old, we had booked 3 rooms, 2 in each, when we got there we where told we couldnt be placed in rooms next to each other, ok not to much of a problem, as we had top floor and a great veiw the others where put two floors down. Some of the staff where ok, the rest may give you a smile if you where lucky. at night we went out most evenings as the small bar didnt offer much. the pool, yes a nice size but loads of the tiles had come out, 2 of us had cut our feet, and the plactic grids around the edge where broken. the pool bar, well as there was 6 of us you would think we could go and get each other a drink, oh how wrong you are, you had to take your cup back (this was the same in the main bar to) and could only get one drink at a time, so all 6 of use where up and down like yo yo's... Food, if thats what you call it, for an all inclusive ( i have been to alot of them) this was bad, cold beans in the morning, they had chicken one night that wasnt cooked, so again by day 3 we went out for most of are meals, unless we just made a roll. rooms, clean, and a good size, didnt get cleaned every day, and broken glass in main landing, which i did report 2 days in a row, was still there at the end of the week. These sales reps that come in to the hotel do not i repeat do not pay for tickets from them, the hotel let a man called marrio in to the pool area to sell to you, we paid for a boat cruise, it was very very very bad, the hotel had his number and after calling him 3 times a day for 4 days he never showedhis face again, the hotel wouldnt do any thing about it, but they do let these people in, now if you get the chance to go on the big old sailing/pirate boat, that looked nice while we waited over an hour for our to turn up and then half hour watching it try to dock. any way back to the hotel, yes the irish bar next door is loud and late, but its about the only life around, the bars over the road (if they open due to staff not turing up) are very run down. as i have said, i have been on loads of a.i and have booked one for this year, but not at this hotel. cant think of the name but as you walk towards the beach on the right had side there is a very nice place to have sunday carvery, the chiness is next door, the lady there was great and the man out side that got us to go in was very nice and not to pushy. go there its much better.

Just back from a week in this hotel. My friend and i went with the impression that there would be plenty of young people staying here, and that we would get a good holiday being in a quieter area of Playa Del Ingles but just a short walk away from the clubs. The hotel was full of middle aged families and elderly couples who were mostly German and Spanish. The hotel itself is nice enough, and the staff are lovely, but it isn't very lively at all.
We went all-inclusive, and in doing so hoped that there would be some tolerable evening entertainment and could make some friends in the bar. We were VERY wrong. The hotel bar was almost empty every night, and the entertainment was awful. Two shows that were due to happen never did, and the music they play when there isn't a show on is terrible Spanish covers of awful English songs. Not only was there nothing to keep us entertained while getting our free drinks, the free drinks didn't even last. The all-inclusive bar is only open until 11pm then everyone goes to bed or next door to the Irish bar, which blasts ridiculously loud music until 3am and charges way too much for drinks.
Opposite the hotel is more over-pried Irish bars, in a small precinct of tourist shops which look tatty and are falling apart. This means that the only pleasant thing to see from your balcony the sea in the distance. The beach is only a short walk away from here, and is beautiful. This also leads to Maspalomas sand dunes which are also lovely to see.
The shops and clubs in this area are quite good, but i advise you ensure you are strong minded if you go here, as you cannot step outside of the hotel without a swarm of dodgy dealing salespeople trying to con you into buying tickets for clubs that you don't need, and also doing their best to drag you into every bar by offering free drinks...that are never actually free.
Overall the Green Field Aparthotel itself is a nice enough hotel if you go self-catering, and don't mind the only entertainment being drunken Irish people rowing outside the bars until the early hours.

i am only back from a 10 day stay at the greenfield apartment.i stayed at this accomadation with my boyfriend.the apartment itself was fine, cleaned every day and well mantained. the pool area was fabulous but lacked umberellas..the real prob was the staff their attitude twaords us was just discusting.on arrival to the hotel we were told their was no availibilty for us despite our 2 month booking.they then said they had a room on 7th floor. they were so disrepectfull and unhelpful twoards us.they never informed us where or what time breakfast was or never told us about onsight activities and facilities.we had to discover all this our selves.we were not even given wrist bands which we later seen on others.very un proffesional ignorant and rude staff.would turn me off returning

After reading all these awful reviews saying how bad it was, my family were having doubts. But honestly its lovely, its a bit loud but everythings near by and taxi´s and buses are fairly cheap. The food isn´t the best but there McDonalds and Burger King and restaurants near by so there really easy to access. If i was you ignore the bad reviews because everyone has different opinions. But honestly theres nothing wrong with it, its perfectly nice, and better than most of the other ones around here!

Stayed here with my boyfriend a year ago. overall very basic you get what you pay for (like most studio app's) so when we arrived we knew what we were expecting. being honest we were quite happy as we were right across from the irish centre.. perfect party location! However, our safe got broken into on our third day - all our cash was taken (1,000eur) and all that remained were our passports.. absolutely gutted..we got no satisfaction from reception, the police did their best but been honest they had no time for us (had to pay 80eur for transaltor). despite, requesting time and time again to view camers (there was one beside our door) the management refused.. ewven our rep didnt care (despite me crying down the phone) with all this on board we have no reservations in saying that it clearly was an inside job as there was absolutely no sign of break in... would advice if you are staying to just take money from cash machine as you need it.. it only costs about 50cent per transaction and well worth it.. overall it was ok but from our expeciene would never stay there again!

My Husband and I have just returned from a week's stay at Green Field and I can say with all honesty, it is the worse all inclusive we have ever stayed at. You were truly treated second class compared to guest's who had paid for B & B or half board. I agree with the reviewer who said that the bar staff were totally ignorant and had to wait a good 20 mins (although I was first inline to be served)as total priority was given by the bar staff to paying customers !! Food was not great (and I like everything usually) and we did eat out on a number of occasions as food wasn't good, which completely defeats the object of all inclusive. On the plus side the rooms were decent enough. I have never wrote a review before as I believe that everybody has different expectations and I feel that my Husband and I are usually really easy pleased, but I would not recommend this hotel on an all inclusive basis

When we arrived at Greenfield wed were surprised at how quiet playa del ingles was we had been 5 years previously an the place was buzzing - not so this year, really quiet and if you are looking for lively this is nto the place to be - although it is only a short walk to the Kasbah centre which was abit busier but still not what we saw 5 years previous. I was worried about the food when i read the reviews but to be honest breakfast was pretty standard as to what you buy outside egg bacon beans toast or fruit and cereal(continental breakfast). Lunch was ok and dinner was also ok. It was not spectacular but eatable although by the end of the week we ate out because you just want a change of scenary although if you are a fussy eater all inclusive is probably not advisable. If you want somewhere with a taste from home Murphys irish kitchen was the ticket for us. Although this resort was quieter that normal this hotel would still not be a family hotel as people see this as young and lively so it can be a but noisey with people coming home fropm bars and nightclubs etc. This is a honest and not over exagerated review of playa and greenfield. We read reviews that the bar staff were rude if you were all inclusive and did not serve you etc and the bar closed ten minutes before the time due. This was not the case and the bar staff were extremely friendly and we were served within a minute of being at the bar unless there were already a few people being served. Drinks were also available at the pool side bar until the hotel bar opened.

My boyfriend and i went out on the 9th October for 10 days and had a great time! Check in was quick and easy and staff were polite.. The room was adequate though two single beds pushed together but not major problem, has cooking area and shower with hairdryer (not that it could be used as it was just too hot;) Air conditioning was not so good but staff are always on hand to assist. The pool area in tidy and has plenty of loungers but you do have to be up early to get a good one as some people que from around 7.45am to get out there.. Some were bagging there lounger with towels and not coming back til late afternoon so it was confusing at times but we ended up with one pretty much every day that we stayed round the pool. The rooms were cleaned every other day which wasn't so bad but they could have done more sweeping in there. The towels were taken away if left on floor and we didn't have the one back til the later in the week. The food was amazing for what we paid and plenty of choice as have quite a lot of other nationalities staying there. The staff were great in the bar and restaurant but around the pool bar they tended to treat you differently as other paying guests when we were in fact paying guests who had already paid! Nevertheless we were allowed to get more than one free drink which were either soft drinks, beers or schnapps. The entertainment could be a bit like peter kay's phoenix nights on occasion but for something to do before you hit the clubs, etc, it was a laugh and everyone had a good sense of humour about it! Theres competitions to win any drink or a free pass to palmito's park which we won so we had a great day out there! The two entertainers are great, especially Barbara who is non stop bonkers! Playa del Ingles is not the best looking town but the beach is lovely and only 5 mins walk. A taxi to other towns range from 2 to 6 euro depending on how far you want to go. Or there are of course buses but they can get very hot as air con didn't always work and all windows shut:/ There was a great brazilian BBQ in the cc Kaskah centre, only up the road and well worth the money! Maspalomas is lovely but avoid the African Women who grab your arm trying to sell you a bracelet and then want money to get it back! Don't know how they get away with it but they do and a friend we met had a quite uncomfortable encounter with them and also watch out for the men with scratch cards, Its a holiday scam! Though don't be alarmed as long as you say no thank you and walk on, they leave you alone! Puerto Rico is very hot with no wind but a nice day out. The weather was fantastic for the whole 10 days, sometimes as high as 40 but it took a turn for the worse after that and was raining and miserable so we are glad we went when we did! All in all we met some great people and had some great experiences and will definitely be going back! Though a room overlooking the pool would be better as at the back, you get deliveries which can be very noisy early in the morning. Also later in the week, a zumba class started and the music was way too loud and not the best but other than that we loved it:)
