Just arrived back, although fairly clean, the toilets around the pool were awful and it was clear that they hadnt been given as much attetion as the rest of the hotel. The daily charge of 5 euros for sunbeds around the pool is disgusting! It is clear that there is one rule for the english and another for every other nationallity, English coming off the worst. The noise first thing in the morning woke us up every day, the loud slamming of doors and chairs scraping accros the floor. As for the breakfasts, it really isnt worth getting out of bed for as you get an already plated up meal which consists of 2 slices of bread, 1 slice of ham and sn awful slice of what i can only describe as plastic cheese! This hotel is rated as 3* i would however disagree and only rate it as a 2*.

Firstly our agent that we booked with informed us we were a short 10 minute walk from the main malia strip - far from, its a 15 minute taxi and atleast a 40 minute walk. The people at the hotel were really friendly; however; scary elderly man who wanderes around and quite often shouts off in greek. The rooms in fairness were clean, bathrooms were grose - but im told this is the done way in the majority of greek holels, and we also had no hot water for the whole week.
Overall, the stay was very pleasant, we were just very disapointed with the mis-leading travel agents!!!!!

This hotel first off is absolutely fantastic!!! We originally booked to stay at the sterling apartments when we arrived the women was awful to us and told us she was fully booked & told us we were in this hotel, we were a little sceptacle at first, wondering where the hell we were going, but we ended up in this hotel & thought it was simply amazing, ive never ever wrote one of these things before it was so lovely i had to. Hotel right on the beach, food is beautiful, your in stalis which is literally 15mins away from malia, personally i would stay here rather than malia, you do have to get a taxi as it can be quite dangerous, but its definately cheaper and safer than staying in malia. The pool is wonderful, & i must say the family that own this place are the friendliest people ive ever met, they make you feel comfortable and are so lovely, the cleaner was also so lovely! Im ranting on abit now, but one more thing there's lots of young fun people, stay here for a wicked holiday :D! BAR BLISS ROCKS MANN :D! ANATOLIAS FOR FOOD WOOO! X

Jul 2008, Miss L Bowman

I booked a last minute holiday on my own. Looking for a relaxing time with plenty of sun and sea and some nice evening meals. I absolutely loved this hotel. It was perfectly positioned right in the middle of the resort, right on the beach. There were only 2 people staying in the hotel when I was there and the family who run the hotel were so welcoming and really made me feel at home.
The hotel itself was very basic but it had everything I needed and it was clean. I have stayed in 5 star hotels on holiday and really don't see the point in spending all the extra money when you only sleep in the room.
I will definately go back there and would recommend it to girls travelling alone.

This hotel is the worst hotel I have...

Jul 2007, Mr M Persaud

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
My room in particular was on the ground floor, which meant I had double doors out on to the beach, but you couldn’t leave the doors/windows open to get any air as you constantly had kids/crabs/spiders/moths/butterflies coming into your room.
There was a small bar/restaurant next door and the owners just hated foreigners and even beat up a fellow hotel guest!
The staff were few and far between - it was rare to see any of them.
The bed got changed once in 3 days before I walked out.
There was no air conditioning; the room was so thin you couldn’t open the wardrobe properly.
The bathroom!! Don’t get me started - The shower was a hose, no attachment or anything - just a hose! Water trickled out so took about an hour to shower. The toilet was suitable for a 3 year old as it was about a foot from the floor.
In Greece you’re not supposed to flush loo paper down the toilet which is gross enough as you have to put it in a bin next to the toilet so obviously you had bugs. But where I was following procedure - I had the room at the end of the hotel so when other guests were not following rules - I had their waste popping up through a hole in my bathroom floor!
The hotel - is an absolute disgrace! I booked it through medhotels.com that I have used before and always been good. But this time - I was so disgusted I don’t think I will be using them again!

Sep 2006, Mr L O'grady

Position of hotel is good, situated on the beach; pool area is nice with beach bar. Hotel is near lots of restaurants and bars and room was basic but adequate. However, the downside is that if you want a sunbed by the pool or on the beach it costs 6 euro per day, but if you go next door i.e. 50 metres to the alicionedes beach hotel, a sunbed by the pool or on the beach is 1 euro per day
The breakfast was rubbish, 3 pieces of bread one slice of cheese and I slice of ham EVERYDAY, plus jam. Tea and coffee was supplied with tinned milk.
Because my wife has difficulty with stairs we noted that this hotel has a lift, it does but it doesn’t work and according to people who we asked it hadn’t been working for some time
This is a family run hotel but this means that they have three children who get up at the crack of dawn and scream and shout by the pool area so if you have a sea view room you will be woken up at a very early time, the family also sit in the TV area watching Greek TV so no English programmers available. Finally the towels supplied are the worst I have ever experienced they are cheap and tacky

These apartments were great. We wanted a last minute escape for some fun and that’s what we got. The apartments are family run.
We had the basics in our room but that’s all you need. It was a mix between young couples and families. Our apartments are right on the beach and the pool bar was brilliant for food and drink. If you wanted to head in Malia at night its a 25 minute walk but l would suggest to get a taxi which will cost you 7 euro. The only thing that you have to watch is the mopeds as it can be dangerous when walking.
The police are very hard on you if they think you are doing wrong. I would go back to these apartments in a minute. The family couldn’t be any nicer and you will have a ball.
