We were booked in for a self catering holiday but intended to use the restaurant at the hotel a couple of times each week of our stay.
On arrival at Jasmine we were told by the owner that we were not expected, no booking had been made for us! Thankfully I had all the paperwork with us and was able to show that a booking had been made and paid for. It took them over an hour for them to find us an apartment at the Jasmine. Eventually we were given a key to a twin bedded apartment, though we had booked a double. Later on we were to discover that they had double booked some rooms, when we met an English couple, who had been told to move out, although they had paid and been told there were available rooms!
At this point we just scrambled into the beds to sleep, if only that had been possible. One bed squeaked and creaked with the slightest movement and the other bed had a lumpy mattress. Come the morning we could see exactly where we had come for our "holiday".
The bed linen admittedly was clean but to say it had seen better days would be an understatement. Holes were evident in many areas of the sheets. On day 8, we had to ask for our sheets to be changed!
The apartment was anything but clean, you will see that from the photos. The light switches were filthy, surfaces had not been cleaned, bins were absolutely disgusting. When you mentioned anything to the owners or manager, all you heard was "I'll get maintenance onto it". The apartment was supposed to have a television and it did, it looked like it had come out of a skip and had neither a hand set or aerial. When this was mentioned to the management, the reply was " I will see if maintenance can find one not being used", pardon! One not being used? Televisions are advertised for all rooms and apartments, so why wasn't one there? Now I would normally say something had been lost in the translation but the owners and managers spoke very good English. The walls throughout the hotel were dirty, it looked like an attempt was made to clean some but grease/dirty marks could still be seen.
Now I am going to mention safety at this hotel is poor to say the least. Parts of the balconies are crumbling, with pieces falling away, as you will see in the attached pictures. If this wasn't bad enough the emergency lighting is non existent! The boxes are there but they are all empty, no fittings could we find on any of the floors! Fire doors were wedged open and presumably left propped open all day and night, unless someone removed the door wedges.
The pool area is anything but clean. Cement was breaking up, causing trip hazards, or cut toes. The pool was "visited" each day by the pool man, who walked around the edge picking up leaves and then going to the pump room for about 5 minutes. The water appears clean but the grouting is filthy, discoloured black in many areas. it wasn't somewhere you wanted to swim.
It was certainly not the holiday we had hoped for and escaped everyday in our hire car.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday on Cyprus at Jasmine Hotel and Apartments. We were booked in for a 2 week self catering holiday.

We arrived exhausted, as we had sat on the plane for 2 hours waiting to be de-iced and cleared for take off, no ones fault, just part of life. We were met by taxi at Larnaca and taken to the Jasmine. Only then to be told by the owner that we were not expected, no booking had been made for us! Thankfully I had all the paperwork with us and was able to show that a booking had been made and paid for. It took them over an hour for them to find us an apartment at the Jasmine. Now I am disabled and apart from being very tired was in quite a lot of pain by this point. Eventually we were given a key to a twin bedded apartment, though we had booked a double. Later on we were to discover that they had double booked some rooms, when we met an English couple, who had been told to move out, although they had paid and been told there were available rooms!

We were so tired at this point we just scrambled into the beds to sleep, if only that had been possible. My husbands bed squeaked and creaked with the slightest movement and the other bed had a lumpy mattress. Come the morning we could see exactly where we had come for our holiday.

The bed linen admittedly was clean but to say it had seen better days would be an understatement. Holes were evident in many areas of the sheets. At some point someone had tried to punch a hole in the bedroom door, no repair had been attempted!

Whilst we were there an attempt was made to "tidy up" one of the walls in the dining room by painting it. Just painted, not cleaned first!

Quite frankly we could go on for a very long time about this "Hotel", the food alone would take up a small book. We had intended eating a few times in the restaurant but Christmas dinner was more than enough for us!

It certainly was no holiday for us or any other of the guests we met whilst there.

I went here with a friend at the beginning of September and was dissapointed after looking foward to it so much. This is not a 4* Hotel. Its more 3* and thats only becuase of the pool. We stayed in a pool side room on the 1st floor which had barely enough room to swing a cat, let alone have 2 suit cases in there. The balcony looked as though it had been added as an after thought and was so small that 2 people barely fit on there with the table. As soon as the sun went down, we couldnt see anything as there is no lighting out there whatsoever. On the bright side, the pool area is lovely - its clean and there are lots of sun loungers. The pool bar is quite expensive though and charge over one euro for a small bottle of water. Its about a 10 minute walk from restaurants/bars which isn't too bad but still a bit of a walk. I was told that the hotel is gradually undergoing renervations so if you are thinking of staying here, then I would wait a few years until the improvements have been made.

The Jasmine apartments where do I...

The Jasmine apartments where do I start? Well the first day, me and my partner arrived we was told there is a problem. This was because our room had been double booked by the hotel and we had to stop at another flee bitten place for our first supposedly relaxing day. After all day travelling this was disgusting and humiliating, not a good start!
Then when we was at the apartment we stopped bed and breakfast for 13 nights (supposed to be 14) and had a continental breakfast and there was beans, bacon, scrambled egg. This didn't change for the whole two weeks. Let me tell you we was sick to the back teeth of what was supposed to be described as an al a carte breakfast.
The cleaning was symbolical at the best, at worst it was down right disgusting and a health hazard. We had to write on a piece of paper to get our hand basin cleaned and the bathroom window was never cleaned. We had the push button air con which looked 30 years old, after 8 days we became seriously ill with chest problems it was only after we cancelled this that the tight chest and breathlessness began to subside.
The hotel says it has live entertainment every night, does it, I don't think so, and the hotel says you get a friendly smile. Yeah right!!
My advice to you is steer well and truly clear of this place, I would give it at least a zero star rating, which incidentally the Hotels4u.com described it as a 4 star STAR hotel.

The rooms were standard and fairly clean. The manager and his wife were very unhelpful. You had to make an appointment to see your rep (unheard of in all my travelling).
Brochure/Internet specified that there was a 24 hour mini market (not true) bar in the hotel was never open after 12 midnight.
We couldn’t even go out to the pool side area for a chat or drink as the doors and lights would be closed and switched off.
Again Brochure/internet specified that there was Greek/entertainment nights (again not true) also games machines all around the complex (yet again not true).
The pool was very deep, you had to be over 5ft tall to be able to stand in the shallow end.
I think Libra should look again at this hotel and update their information as they are giving false information to their customers.
I will never book with Libra again.
