We were familiar with the Ibis chain so the hotel had little surprises and demonstrated good value. We booked a double room but were given a twin room which was annoying.
Also, the hotel is located next door to Meknes Macdonalds where the new middle class youngsters like to show off car alarm noises, quad bikes and anything else that is annoying late at night. So try and request a pool view double room.
On departure, the gardener tried to extract money from us for being "la guardian" of our car. This was clearly Ibis' private car park with no signs in any language stating that a parking fee was payable so we drove off in a foul mood at yet another Moroccan trying to extract money from tourists through ill conceived means.
If we had a quiet room with a double / queen bed and no dodgy gardener then this would have been a very pleasant stay.
