Ontario Appartments: Excellent value for money. This is our second visit to this hotel.
The Staff are courteous and very helpful. The reception staff all speak excellent English and are always willing to go 'that extra mile'.
Within walking distance of coves and beautiful beaches, restaurants and shops.
A short (cheap) bus ride from water-parks and a theme park.
The appartments are perfect for a holiday. Good sized bedrooms, a kitchen area ideal for preparing basic snacks. Good sized fridge.
Bathroom clean and well equipped (towels regularly changed). The cleaning staff are really cheerful and work very hard.
The pool area is clean and buzzing (could do with a few new CD's. Day-time music a little repetative)!
Bar area staff are very friendly and patient considering the amount of children un-supervised in that particular area.
And finally Sammi. A one man entertainment show! Kids love him! One of the appartments greatest assets!
In general a nice, friendly family hotel. Would highly recommend!

Just a few comments on a lovely week at the ontario,
Bar, very warm, drinks are rather expensive but the staff are very nice and always willing to help you know matter what.
Reception, Nice air con system kept this room nice and cool at all times of the day in this area you will find all the notice boards for the reps and sammy.
Sammy, is the entertainer he is lovely man and always up for a good old laugh. Do take time out of your holiday to speak to him as he will make sure you are having an great stay.
Kids rep, very nice to speak with and always open on time for the club with some excellent activites going on for the little ones.
Rep (steve), I dont know who the person below is but I dont think they saw the same as me. When I needed anything I always first went to him to find out the information we needed to know. Quiz nights always great fun with him and sammy. One thing the person below must remember is that he may not have been nice to the people but where they nice to him? Just because they are reps doesnt mean they have to smile and jump around peoples backsides all day they are human as well!
Area, small village with something for everyone to do day or night.
Just remember to relax and enjoy

We stayed at the Ontario apartments as a last minute booking, 2 adults and 2 boys aged 11. The accomodation was lovely but we had difficulty sleeping until after 3am with the noise coming from a neighbouring hotel, with loud music and shouting. We found the rep Steve to be unhelpful, lazy and witnessed him being rude to other guests. We were disappointed with the pool area as the boys were not allowed to take inflatables into the pool but people were allowed to throw each other in all day, which in my opinion is far more dangerous! We used the pool at its sister hotel The sun club apartments, where there were plenty of sunbeds at anytime of the day. The local bus service was excellent and pineda beach was lovely. The resort was small and catered mainly for families with small children. We enjoyed our holiday but would not return to the Ontario apartments.

The Ontario Apartment Are Brill Best Holiday I Have been On In Years. The Entertanment Is Really Good. It Was Mostly Familys There And It Was Brill Met New Ppl On Are First Day. The Staff Are Friendly But When If You Go There You Have To Love Sammi He Is The Entertaner He Is Amazing Like. The Rooms Are Lovely So Is The Ontario Apartments Im Glad I Went Like. The Bar Is Opened From Half 9 In The Morning Till 12 At Night. But Over All I Would Go Back Every Year If I Could Its Up The Road From The Beach Thats A 2 Mins Walk. Me As A Kid At 15 I Loved It Like And Will Be Going Back Next Year As I Loved It But I Think The Things I Loved The Most Is Sammi And The Pool It Is Really Big And In The Morning At Half 11 There Is Water Arobics Then LaterOn About 2 There Is Water Polo Witch Sammi Does Them Aswell There Is A KIds Club If Mummys And Daddys Want To Relax And Darts With Sammi For Adults And Children But Over All It Was Brill And So Is The Place And I Cant Wait Till Go Back.... I went in May with my daughter and son, aged 17 and 11. I loved these apartments, best holiday I had in a long time. The staff were friendly, pool was supervised and entertainment was great. Unfortunately the weather let us down. I would definitely come back here for another holiday as I really loved it.

just back from a holiday in ontario apartments in cap salou, from all the reviews i have seen on the net i was a bit dubious about the holiday all though it was not quite what we were looking for we had great time. the apartments were "cleaned" every day with fresh towls but the bed linnen was not. the staff and reps were friendly and informative and the bar and pool area were very clean so no real complaints about the apartments you get what you pay for! cap salou in its self is ok there is entertainment for kids but the food is ok but we didnt find anything special and found ourselfs going into salou to eat.
we did the barcalona night and day trip well worth it, we all had a great day nou camp for football fans, aquarium for everyone and the fountain at the palace which is amaizing!
the bonavista market worth a look but dont buy the bus tickets off the reps you con do it for E6 return with public transport! thats another thing be carefull of the day trips you buy off the reps you can get them cheaper dont know what you are actually paying for because i wasnt talking to anyone that did the trips with the bus company but it is worth looking into because we didnt and felt we got riped off, but dont know if we really did.
on the whole we had a good holiday plenty to do in salou and surrounding area one last bit of advice buy a ticket for portadventura to cover all your holiday you'll need it! plenty of offers on-line and from travell agents 7days for the price of 3 etc etc....
i'd recomend it if you can put up with a very busy/touristy town of salou we are going back in a few years not straight away.

Just back from two wonderful weeks in the Ontario Apts. in Cap Salou. The last time we went to Spain I stayed in La Pineda just down the road from Cap Salou. We would highly recommend the Ontario Apts. The staff are friendly and helpful. The reception staff listen when you talk, not like somes places we've been to. They happily booked ticksts for water parks and even arranged car hire on the spot. I knew car hire prices before I went on holiday and they even managed a 7 for 5 day car rental deal for us. Wonderful, if small pool, with a life guard on duty at all times. Not a lot for pre teens to do but they do have pool tables and internet access which is what they seem to want !! Night entertainment not exactly stimulating but enjoyable. Some great restaurants in the locality. Apts basic but not lacking in comfort. Having read some negative comments on this resort after I had booked our holiday I was delighted to see it was not really deserved. My kids are adamant they want to go back.

we have jst arrived back from the ontario apartments.They were lovely spacish apartments.We went for a week but we wished we had stayed longer.The staff were lovely and friendly.The entertainer sammy was brillent and tryed his best so that everyone would have a good hoilday.I dont no why on some of the other comments they were complaining there was notting to complain about.The food in the bar was nice we ate there once or twice but over all we had a great hoilday.

Just wanted to say that my girlfriend and I had a great time at the Ontario Departments. The apartment was nice and clean. We did have a problem with our kettle, but that was sorted. Just want to say that the entertainer Sammy was a great laugh and i think anyone would agree he loves michael jackson, thats all he seemed to play. But overall it was a great holiday and we would recommend it to anyone.

Just came back from a weeks holiday here, it was a group of 5 girls and after reading some of the reviews on this site we were slightly anxious about coming but we all had an amazing time.
The apartments are really nice, modern and clean. The reps, Steve and Ali, are fantastic, always up for a laugh and were really helpful when we were asking about trips and which markets were the best to visit etc. Sammy is a really nice guy and provides plenty of entertainment throughout the day and night, theres always something to do.
The only thing about the hotel is the fact that people 'save' sunbeds which is slightly annoying when you've been out the night before and the last thing you want to do is get up to run downstairs to put a towel on a sunlounger, but we often sunbathed on the grass which didn't really bother us.
Cap Salou is a bit quiet and doesn't have many places to eat so we preferred going into Salou, plenty of really nice places to eat here especially down the front by the beach, sadly we only found this on our last night but we did have some lush cocktails here!! We went on the organised pub crawl which was a really good laugh and helped us to find our way to the clubs in Salou.Because there was 5 of us we often had to have two taxis as there are very few 5 seater taxis however we soon found it is much easier and cheaper to travel on the bus.
All in all had a fantastic holiday in salou and loved staying in the ontario apartments and would definately go back here in the future!!

We spent 2 weeks in the Ontario apartments in Cap Salou in June-early July 2008. Ontario apartments are great. While all staff in reception were very courteous and helpful, we had a lot of dealings with Cecilia and Romaine, and we found them both to be really excellent. Sami the entertainment guy was fab, a real natural, genuine and brilliant with both kids and adults. Spacious and clean complex, including the apartments themselves. Even the lifeguard was very nice and helpful. The pool has no really deep end, an advantage if there are adult non-swimmers in your party, you are never out of your depth.
Maintenance could have been better. We had a problem with our air conditioning that lasted throughout the holiday. It wasnt a major problem, and it certainly didnt take from the holiday - we couldnt turn the air conditioning off. Air conditioning is in the sitting room only - you can hire fans in the complex. There is a good supermarket right next to the complex, which was great. The apartment cleaning service was fine, the lady in charge of the cleaning service was very helpful.
The Falcon-First Choice reps - Steve and Ali - were excellent, very capable and helpful. They spent 5-7 hours in the apartments pretty much every day except Sunday.
Excellent bus service from Cap Salou to Saluo and other nearby places, and indeed to Barcelona, which is about 80 minutes away. The bus company have a staff member at each stop, which is extremely helpful.
We found Port Aventura to be somewhat over-rated - extremely crowded, huge queues for an hour and more for most rides - a pain in the neck in such heat. You can get express tickets in the place, they cost up to 42 Euro per person, we didnt bother. We liked the water park adjacent to Port Aventura, though we heard that the waterpark Aquapolis, near La Pineda - is a better waterpark.
Salou beach is gorgeous, as is the beach at nearby La Pineda. There is a small beach in Cap Salou itself too. Salou is a great holiday venue, lots to do, and Cap Salou is a fine base for the holidays. Like others here, we liked the Paddocks restaurant in Cap Salou. We found an excellent Japanese restaurant in Salou where for 13 Euro you could have as much food as you like - help yourself - very wide range.
Weather was great - 26-29 degrees, not too hot, nice breezes, one cloudy day in 14 days.
No need to bring the kitchen sink with you. We brought so much stuff we didnt need, and if the Spanish airport authorities hadnt been under time pressure, Im sure we would have had a very hefty weight surcharge.
Ontario apartments are very child-friendly. There was a nice mix of families and groups of young people there.
All in all, the staff in the Ontario apartments are very pleasant and helpful, and seem to genuinely want their guests to enjoy their holidays. We certainly did enjoy.

We stayed in the ontario apts in aug,2 adults and 4 children ages from 16 to 10.
I read all the reviews before i went,and its why I booked the Ontario apt , because of its high scores. We as you see agree with nearly everyone its worth the 9 out of ten.
On arrival we had a problem with our electric,it took 2 hours to fix,the people who syayed in our room before us broke the key card.The toaster was also broke,and some lights needed new bulbs.I still dont understand how this isnt checked before they let it out. I didnt find Steve our rep to be over helpful.I never met Ali. The 2 men who run reception Juan and Raul are very helpful and friendly.Juan got us a new toaster and sorted out all the problems,checking each day was everything okay. The noise from the hotel across from us was bad at night ,but thankfully after the first few nights it wasnt as bad.
The apartment is spacious,and the cleaners came every day except thurs and sundays.we had 2 single beds in the living area,which was great,better then the pull out we were expecting.
Cap salou has a lovely village with restaurants and amusements,about 5 mins walk from apt.The paddock rest is cheap.food is basic but okay, There is 2 small coves in the village,but i thought the beach at la pineda was nicer.
Buses run every 15 min around the corner from the apt,we went to Salou ,more shops beach was packed.we went to la Pineda more shops and we ate in the waterfront bar,terrible service and food and it wasnt cheap as it was after 6., cheaper it seems before 6. Steve told us later they had loads of complaints about the service there.
We went to Aquapolis Waterpark. Very packed queues for all the rides,the best part was the dolphin show,at 12 and 4.we went to see it twice.we realised to late you can hire the yellow rings,saves on queues,i was wondering why people were hogging them.
Portaventura, what can i say.........its well worth the vist,we got a 2 day ticket for the price of 1.You need the 2 days to see it all.We stayed for the fireworks,it was very good,but a long wait.the queues are long,but in the evening wasnt as bad.A lot of walking,wear comfy shoes,its laid out very well.The bubbleman show was brilliant.the staff werent friendly at all,which surprised me and others as its geared for families.we came back with our express tickets,couldnt find out how to use them,sent back from queue as wasnt right one ,info said hand it in,they said no go to info? gave up and queued.To long walk back from chinatown.Be careful taking the train and boat they drop you at entrance,we had to walk back.we thought it was a scenic trip.
We all enjoyed our holiday,would have liked to have stayed another week to see more and relax more.The ontario is a great base,the staff are all friendly,the apartments clean and spacious,the pool is small but good for cooling off in,pity people are allowed save sunbeds.It didnt bother us to much as we went out a lot.The enterainment was good at night,didnt see Sammy he was off .Well worth the money and glad we stayed Cap Salou.Nice family area.
