Villa Medoussa

NOT EXACTLY SERENITY!!
Villa Medusa studios in old hersonnisos is not able to give the serenity it claims it's able provide, unfortunately we've found out for ourselves the past few weeks.
The area might be quiet(in the wintertime maybe but even than it's doubtful that it is), not that we've noticed maybe because of the highway being nearby or the buildingsite or the guarddog next door with loud owners or the owner's family who lives upstairs from us and the hords of mosquitos every night.
We were given the "quiet" room as the owner called it, not that we noticed that in the night when we unlike everybody else in the world tend to sleep,not exactly easy when mossies are buzzing around and all the noise there at night.
Not entirely a big disappointment because Crete is a beautiful island well worth visiting but you have to be on guard as anywhere else i suppose not to get ripped off.
The rooms were cleaned every two days and some minor details that we'd like to see different,paintedshut bathroomdoorlock,ventilation without having hords of mosquitos and thumbthick slots along the entrancedoors,warm water 24hours would be nice too or at least when you want it to be there,especially the noise but for people bad of hearing and no problems with mosquitos it's the perfect place to stay and fairly priced too, €50,- a night in the highseason it's not a bad deal after all but keep in mind that it's a long walk up after spending a day downstairs on or pay €5,-,€6,-,€7,-,€8,- for a taxiride upstairs,less than a 5 minute ride if not less.
Overal only recomandable who'll take all above mentioned when they're on holiday.
We hope never again in a simular place.
