This hotel is advertised as Adults Only in the summer months but I was advised that this is now not the case and has not been the case for at least two years. The pool has a very steep slope which decends from 3ft to almost 8ft in a very short distance and the small area... more

We liked the hotel very much,great food. The air con in our room worked great. Room was cleaned every day with clean towels, sheets changed every three days. Coral bay beech was an easy 20 minute walk it was not big but nice and quiet toilets there and small cafe, cost 7.50... more

The hotel is a little on the tired side, a bit old in some areas, especially the sea front bungalows but the rooms were all in a good condition and cleaned everyday. Our net curtains had a bit of mold on them but they were hidden away behind the curtains. The pool was very... more

A 3 star hotel at best? from DrCal
As this is my third sun holiday this year, all in 4 star accomodation, in my opinion I certainly would not rate this as 4 star. The room: Our room was small, in dire need of decoration and stank of cigarette smoke. The pool and sea view was compromised by the constant loud music/PA system/building work. The shower was a trickle, there were minimal toilettries provided, and to sit on the toilet comfortably (and without passing out from the heat) you needed the door open! We also specifically requested a double and yet got twin beds.... more

We stayed at the Ascos between the 23rd and 31st August 2006 on an all inclusive basis. We stayed here for the first time last year and enjoyed it so much that we re-booked the exact same package for this year. What a Gem from shipinn
I returned from the Ascos on 27th August and I can only say anyone who found complaints with the hotel went intending to find problems. Yes there is work going on next door, but you had to concentrate to hear it, the food was excellent and there was plenty of it, sunbeds, well you could come down at anytime of the day and know you would get not only a bed but also an umbrella, the staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic 2 week holiday at the Ascos, having read all the reviews before we went we were a little apprehensive about it but went with an open mind. We absolutely loved it, it is well worth its 4 stars. The Pool was amazing and so clean, all the public areas at the Hotel were clean also. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ascos Beach Hotel from the 13th to the 20th of August, 2006. The hotel is great! Really nice! Food - we stayed all inclusive so there was food available all day pretty much. I am a vegetarian and don't worry, there is PLENTY of choice. Have just come home from a week at the Ascos (12th to 19th August) and could have easily stayed longer. We were looking for a relaxing holiday and were not disappointed. Greeted by friendly reception staff and the luggage was taken to our accomodation situated in the bungalows away from the main hotel which had superb sea views. Simple, Value For Money, Great Food, Great Entertainment, Great Hotel. For those who found fault you must have been unlucky or looking for fault and we are not easily pleased. We have stayed in hotels ranging from 3 to 5 Star across the world and found it difficult to find fault for what we payed here as did the majority of holiday makers who were there and have returned year in year out for the last 8 years. Myself and my partner travelled to the Ascos in mid July for 2 weeks. We arrived a bit nervous as we knew there was building work taking place next door. Our rep, polly advised us as soon as we got on the transfer bus that there was no need to worry and she was right. For 2 weeks we never even noticed it. This is a true 4 star hotel its not 5 star and if you wont to be picky you can find minnor faults but we agree with the other comments we read before going, this is a great hotel and people regularly return year after year.
