Stayed here for 8 nights - never again. The place is in an ideal location – but that’s about the only good point. The facilities are dated, making it difficult for the cleaners to keep it properly clean. The drainage to the sinks and showers appear to have no traps –... more

Stayed for 7 nights at the Apts Buensol in March. The apartments themselves were basic (got what I paid for really), with 1 bedroom (2 beds)and a sofa bed in the living room. Not ideal for sharing with adults as bathroom was off the bedroom. The staff were helpful and... more

Good value for money, but to the expense of no sleep
On arrival the hotel looks great with an excellent location. However after the first night in the room we soon realised it would be a long week without sleep. The walls are paper thin to the extent that the man next door snored all night. You can also hear people using the toilet, by that I mean hear them having a wee. If you like to sleep in at all don’t go to this hotel. Also rooms on the first floor are right above the disco! We were a group that used three rooms around the hotel and all had the same problems. One night on a budget yes, a week give it a miss.
Good value
Came home on saturday after a weeks holiday here and i have to admit we were a bit worried about wtat it would be like after reading some of the things that had been posted already. All i can say is we found it great value for money, very clean and the staff were nice and friendly.Going back next year and will more than likely be booking Buensol apartments again.
Good value near the beach
The apartments are very well situated, a minutes walk from the beach, with bars and restaurants just as close. In truth they are much closer to Benelmadena than Torrie, a short walk from the new marina. Good space and a large balcony. I had asked for a seaview but got a poolview, however this did mean we got the afternoon sun. Kitchen had a fullsize cooker (with oven) and proper fridge freezer, and a coffemaker, so you could use it for a prolonged stay. The pool was fairsized but cold (ok it was January and the coldest snap for years). The building itself wouldn't win any prizes, a seven storey concrete lump, with similar to either side. But it was extremely keenly priced when I stayed. The onsite bar/restaurant probably needn't detain you, with so many options nearby (recommend Viva India). The beach is clean and spacious (not that I was on it much in January) and the promenade is an agreeable walk , right to Torremolinos if you wish (around an hour's walk).
Nothing Special
Not our original choice but was very well located next to the beach and at the edge of Benalmadena. Excellent restaurants across the road. The apartments were clean but over 12 days the linen and towels were only changed twice. The noise was awful - you can hear everything in the apartment above, below, next door to you. If you are staying there request the top floor at the end of the terrace otherwise you'll need earmuffs. The pool area was filthy - not from the lack of cleaners but from the guests - broken glass, cigarette butts, rubbish. Honestly doesn't deserve the two keys in the Budget Brochure and not worth the money. Only bonus was the noisy air conditioning. I will not stay there again and I would not recommend it to anyone.
Good value for your money
Hotel is in great location. Little noisy if you stay floors 1-2 because of the disco music. Good restaurants and grocery stores close by. Pay extra for TV, safety box and air conditioner. Cleaning about once a week. Hope to go back!!!
Fantastic value for money, Easter in the sun!!!
As a family of five it costs a fortune to go anywhere, we paid £500, flights and accom, for a lovely 2 bed apt, overlooking the beautiful beach and marina. The apartment itself was spotless and spacious, felt very safe. Good kitchen facilities, although we didn't use them, lovely bath and great power shower with constant hot water. A hundred yards from beach, which is scattered with adventure playgrounds for the kids, we could sit in a bar or restaurant and watch the kids on the beach. You are approx 7 or 8 minutes walk from Benalmadina Marina, so a good 15 minute walk down to central Torremolinos. But that suited us, as we stopped of for a drink on the way. Hotel reception was very nice, lifts always worked, and PC's for internet access. The hotel pool was small but adequate, there was someone there replacing the cracked tiles while we were there. Small kids pool, always got the sun, great for our girls, with sunbeds right around. Staff always freinly and helpful, especially the guy at the bar. All in all for £500 in the easter hols, for family of five, fantastic value for money, i would go back tomorrow.
loved it
very basic, excellant location, friendly helpful staff. could have been a little cleaner not all rooms like photos ie dining table was garden furniture. would go back again ideal for budget holiday but hard to find vacancies.
Nothing to write home about
We went in Nov after the death of my Father for a week. The hotel is very shabby. However, the apartment wasnt too bad. I had to ask for towels a couple of times but there was no problem. There was no entertainment supplied at all for the week. The hotel restaurant had a a special on of a three course meal for two for 20e with a free bottle of wine which was very good. I found it a very noisy hotel and I wondered how people slept in the height of the season!!! All in all it was passable but I would'nt stay there again. The hotel needs a complete overhaul.
Too noisy!!!
Myself & my partner stayed in the Buensol Apartments last week for 1 week. At first it seemed like a nice place but as the week progressed it wasn't so nice. There are signs up all around the reception area requesting people not to reserve sunbeds by putting towels on the beds, every morning by about 10:30am 99% of the beds had towels on them and about 50% with people lying on them and holding them for other people. We didn't complain about this because we wanted to go to the beach anyway. These apartments are mainly for families. The apartment itself wasn't too clean, we had to wash the floor the second day because it was grubby. We had to ask for clean towels the 3rd day as it looked like we weren't getting any, there was no problem in getting the towels. The walls are very thin and you could hear the flushing of toilets & the running of the shower through the wall. On our last night there was a TV really really loud above us from 2am to 8am, we rang reception twice asking them to check it out, they said they had but couldn't hear anything, this was obviously a lie because it was clear as day the TV was very loud. There was a damp spot on the bedroom wall, it looked like they tried to cover it up and did a very bad job. I wouldn't stay in Buensol again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Customer Service hits rock bottom
We go to the Costa Del Sol 2/3 times every year and this is the first time i have ever had to complain about apartments. We booked through Alphabeds who are excellent. This apartment block is used by budget and it is that in every sense although rooms are clean, they are very basic. We asked for a sea view and even rang Buensol prior to our arrival to try and obtain this as we spend a lot of time on the balcony due to disability. They said it should be ok given it was March. We didnt get a sea view. We got a view of a garden come building site and the back entrances into the apartments which had views. We asked to be moved but were told the apartments were full, a blatant lie, as twice we gave numbers of empty apartments only be told by very, very unhelpful reception staff that they were being held for Budget. We even got a Spanish friend to ring and ask about vacancies with a sea view and there was no problem. It was very evident that there was no way we were going to be moved, no matter what. We arrived Tuesday and on Friday afternoon we had to argue to get clean towels. Would definitely not recommend, even if only on the basis of the very unpleasant staff. Will be complaining to AlphaRooms about their behaviour.
