My husband and I and our two grandchildren aged 11 and 9 stayed here for one week from the 31st May.(half board) We found the staff very friendly and helpful, Our rooms were serviced every day with fresh towels and bed linen. There is multi language television available in the bedroom. The children, during siesta, watched CBBC and there were also all the BBC channels available. There is also air conditioning in the room which we did not use and a safe which we did.
The meals we thoroughly enjoyed and we were so glad that it was not a "chips with everything" place. There is always a comprehensive array of salads, always soup and a choice of three to four main interesting dishes and of course good desert choices.
The waiter or waitress was always on hand to help, there was no language barrier.
We are so embarrassed by some of the rude comments that have been written about this hotel. They don't deserve them.
However having said that we do not think this is a suitabe hotel for an All Inclusive holiday from what we saw and the clients we met who were expecting a "Benidorm" type hotel. It is a small family run hotel with 61 bedrooms which makes it almost exclusive.

After reading all the reviews about this hotel, we were panicking about our weekend break. Yes the rooms are basic, but clean and cleaned daily. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their isnt much choice of food but there is enough. This is not a five star hotel and is not advertised as one. All the people that we spoke to were all ok with the hotel and we enjoyed are stay. Please dont give bad reviews because of little things you dont like, if you want a upmarket hotel then pay a upmarket price

Myself,my friend and her son aged 7 went in august 07.upon arrival we found only 2 beds in room, when we asked for bigger room we were told all rooms were same size.when they put another bed in you could'nt move,we were constantly saying "sorry just need to get over there".there was no air con but found out 2 days b4 we left that we could'v hired a fan.the food was absoloutly disgusting, fish every evening(which smelled throughout the hotel).on 1 evening there was somthing which looked like a scotch egg but there was a BEAK sticking out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It was bland and tasteless.there was no entertainment in the hotel so went out every night. Also ended going out to the centre every day for b'fast and dinner. The pool....well it was very small,no childrens section and the surround not very clean.I'm not a very fussy person but I WOULD NOT RECOMEND this hotel to anybody. It has put me off santa ponsa and dont plan on returning, especially to SANTA PONSA PITS.

the rooms clean and basic as we expected food not great very little choice staff very unfriendly dont go in june as we had an invasion of 45 spanish teenagers who took over the whole pool which included dive bombing into pool and leaving everyone lying by the pool soaked and having to move from the pool also coming in at six in the morning making lots of noise complained to staff told to see manager in morning who was just as unhelpfull then felt so bad that we had to book into portophino apartments along the road until they had left we were not the only people to complain quite a few others did to and got nowhere would not recomend this hotel to anyone

For a 2 star Hotel I was very happy with my stay. The rooms were cleaned 6 days a week and although I had booked a single room it had a double bed and was quite spacious - certaintly plenty storage space. The bathroom was large - a bath with shower over it, WC, sink and bidet. The balcony was a decent size with comfortable chairs although it didn't have much of a view. I may have just been lucky as some others staying there at the same time as myself claimed they had small rooms and tiny bath, one even just had a shower with a shower tray. The food was good - although at dinner I had to ask what things were a few times - there was no need for me to eat out. The staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be about the many noisy students who were staying there at the time. There was no need to bother about them through the night though as a bus picked them up at midnight and took them off to Magalluf. Any complaints, the staff were happy to help with. The pool area and bar were fairly quiet when I was there but I imagine during July and August it would more busy. I would not put people off going there - If you expect luxury =- choose a higher rated Hotel but if you are just going to be eating and sleeping there it is fine.

Apalling. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, a wafer thin mattress on wooden slats. The food was dreadful - far worse than either of us had ever been served at school. Many of the other guests, despite being on half board, ate out because it was so diabolical. The staff were indifferent at best and hostile at worst. Management tried to swindle us when we changed money in the hotel and when we pointed out their error they were extremely rude. We stayed early in May 2006 so it was just bearable but what it is like in hot weather with no air conditioning is anybody's guess. Our strongly worded advice is DON'T GO THERE!

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in, told no room for use till following day put into dirty apartments and told we should be happy they where paying for a taxi. Got back next morning after sleepless night and still had to wait till 11.20 before we got a room. There for two weeks half board it cost us a fortune to eat out all of the time as the food was so BAD, no choice and everything was out of a tin then deep fried. Bed linen changed once the whole time we were there, left with no towels when we asked for some we were told no laundry, very unhappy unpleasant hotel couldn't find anyone with a good word to say about the place. How it got a three star rating I will never know I would have rather stay at faulty towers!!!!

Appalling hotel - the worst place my wife and myself have ever stayed. How this hotel was a 3* I don’t know. I’ve never seen so many unhappy people in the hotel, even the staff. If you like constant tinned food and only three choices, sometimes only two.
If you said anything to the staff or asked them for anything they were always on the defence, ready for a argument.
The only thing I can say about this place was the room was clean.
A completely ruined holiday - we are just back after serving 10 days. Don’t go.

We were there for a week and we found out the hotel is always used as a holiday resort for local school children who stay there a week at a time.
When we were there was 110 school children brought in, they were allowed to do what they want as they had the run of the hotel. They were really rowdy and no other holiday makers could get near the pool as they where splashing in and out of the pool and constantly screaming and shouting and they were playing very loud music.
This went on until the early hours of the morning and nobody seemed to care about the noise they were making, constant slamming of doors to the early hours of the morning.
If you complained about the noise ect you received nuisance phone calls during the night.
This went on the full week we were at the hotel, and we spoke to people that had been already there and they said that it had been going on whilst they where there too.
We were not notified by Thomas Cook whom we booked the holiday with that the hotel was used for such thing which is very disappointing as it ruined our holiday.
I would not recommend Santa Ponsa Pins to anyone!

Having read the other reviews before setting off, I couldn't help but wonder what we were going to find, when it was rated by previous guests as being anywhere between 3 and 10.
The reality in our experience was somewhere between the two. I thought it was interesting to note the more critical reviews were from last year.
Both the hotel and the resort were quieter than I expected for school half term (in England at any rate) and Whit week but as we had gone to have a relaxing week in the sun it suited us quite nicely.
The hotel is presently gearing up for the busy season and is running with something of a skeleton staff that could not have been more pleasant or helpful (whichever language you approached them in). We found a very friendly atmosphere with the staff and other guests.
Our room was a little smaller than I was expecting but big enough when you are only sleeping, showering, and changing. It was clean (and cleaned every day) though the furniture was rather tired. I can't comment on the evening meals as we were B&B but breakfast was OK with a choice of cooked or continental.
All in all, if you are looking for luxury this is not the hotel for you, but if you want a reasonably priced holiday in a small, friendly hotel which is a five minute walk from some good restaurants and the busy resort bars then we reckon you could do worse.
We would go back.

We had the misfortune of spending 2 nights in this awful hotel which made fawlty towers look live a 5 star hotel compared to this, staff really miserable, the hotel room was awful really dated hasnt been decorated since the 70's as least had a view of a builders yard with no sun to be seen from room. The plates were dirty at meal times and the staff stared at you when you were eating made to feel really uncomfortable, the pool was disgusted, no music, no entertainment and lights were switched out at 11pm had more freedom in Colomendy when I was 10 years old. Do yourselves a favour and dont book this hotel , we are not not overly fussy people just like somewhere clean and tidy but this was absolutely disgusting we couldnt wait to get out of the place and the staff need to go to charm school
