It is just so difficult to articulate what a magical experience myself and my wife had on our recent break away. We never expected to have such a relaxing holiday. All aspects of what you look for on any holiday was covered plus plus on staying here. The restaurant food the cleanliness of our apartment the friendliness of the staff the professionalism of the service. The total experience left us feeling just fantastic. So close to everything the airport, restaurants in matagorda centre, night life in ports de Carmen. The variety of water sports and water activities. This place should be listed in bright lights for everyone to experience. We just LOVED IT.....FANTASTIC

Myself and my partner had tried to book this complex for a long time but it was constantly booked and just by chance we secured a booking. We had an amazing experience. The complex was so clean. The staff were sophisticated polished and professional. All our needs were catered for. We hired bicycles, and experienced the many recommended trips to beautiful aspects of this island. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and sheets. The restaurant was run by friendly happy staff and such great value. The pool area was small but spotless. It was a tranquil experience and provided the much needed relaxation and peace we longed for. The receptionist was a absolute pleasure to deal with always cheerful helpful and efficient. She arranged taxis for us at very short notice. The complex is secure with gates locked each evening and the manager was such a delight to deal with always available. We eat most days at the restaurant located just beside the pool and the sat BBQ the food was fresh great quality and very reasonably priced and cheaper than most restaurants in the area. The beach was in walking distance of the complex we hade a morning dip each day before breakfast ...wonderful...We both agreed that the total experience was a super one and we would go back again and again but will book early to ensure we get accommodate as it's a very popular site in a lovely quite part of matagorda. Thank you to all for making our holiday a wonderful one. We will DEFINITELY be back.

Three of us decided to try out this resort based on the reviews and we had to agree the best way to describe the experience was WOW!! The reviews just don't do this place justice. It's hard to articulate the environment, the apartments are spotless, the staff are like family yet purely professional. The restaurant is brilliantly run and the food is of great quality, very fresh and plenty portion size, it was very pleasurable eating at the restaurant as you were made feel special and well looked after. The manager of the complex could not be praised highly enough, always around and very helpful. With the gates around this small complex it was a safe environment.friendly yet quite and relaxing. Walking distance to the beach and short walking distance to the busy buzzing centre or if you fancy an evening on the tiles a cheap taxi trip to the lively puerto del Carmen to boogie the night away. We look trips to all Caesar manrique sites which is a must!! And can be booked all trips through guaci the gorgeous girl managing reception of this complex, always smiling and friendly. walk to playa Honda for lunch which is so close to this complex or stroll along the beach line into puerto del Carmen. We will definitely be back and we have very highly recommended this complex to our many friends who have very stressful jobs and could appreciate this relaxing place to enjoy a real "holiday" - this place should be on everyone's list of places to visit. We will most definitely be back. Gratis!!

SIMPLY EXCELLENT
My self and my wife are very seasoned travelers top of our holiday criteria is 1: quality 2 : service and 3: atmosphere and all three exceeded our expectations when we stumbled across this complex. It's humble location in a quite part of matagorda could only the saying..."never judge a book by its cover......"
firstly quality: the whole complex was totally spotless, daily cleaning of our accommodation, ground staff maintaing the beautifully manicured gardens, the brilliant white washed walls and posts, the pool was continuously cleaned and the surrounding pool area tidied through the day and the cost was incredible we got value for our money.
Secondly the service: the manager was extremely pleasant and personable and no query was any bother, the girl at reception was also a pleasure to deal with and even offered ideas on venues to visit etc and the restaurant at the end of the pool service quality food and the manager
and staff had fantastic interpersonal skills.
Thirdly atmosphere: it was a tranquil and relaxing and very safe... at the same yet felt very personably friendly efficient and very well run .walking distance to beach and centre with lots going on if more excitment is require....five minutes from airport and main strip of playa de carman...

What an amazing little Complex, 58 Rooms all very clean, well eqqiped. The maid came in almost daily and changed towels etc... The swimming pool was cleaned daily. Always plenty of sunbeds around the pool. The Pool Bar Staff Mainly Adel and the Chef were so accomadating the food was Excellent and very resonable. Try the BBQ on a Saturday best food and at 10euros each as much as you want. Also the breakfasts there were GOOD. All the staff were so helpful and friendly and really make your holiday. The complex is so safe and contained and in a really good spot 5 mins walk to the centre of Matagorda, beach and Airport. You must visit the National Park you book this through Last Minute Travel in Los Pocillos Brilliant at only 20Euros per person worth a visit. I would definatley recommed this accomadation. I have stayed in a lot of places in the last ten years in Matagorda and this is by far the BEST.

This place cannot be complimented highly enough....we stayed and could not believe our luck. The complex is run was extremely professional yet personal and friendly staff. It's the most relaxing holiday I have had in years nothing was any bother to the staff ....we will be back and THANK YOU

Hi we have just returned from a last minute break at the Guacimeta apartments in Matagorda Lanzarote.
I booked the last minute holiday then read the reviews and thought oh dear!
Nothing could have been more wrong the apartments were spacious and had everything although a small oven or microwave would have made the self catering better.
The pool was cleaned every day and the apartment cleaning and change of linen and towels was adequate.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was peaceful even though very close to the airport you got used to the over head noise.
The whole area is on flat ground and within a gentle stroll to the shopping centre.
Taxis from the airport are cheap and heading into Puerto Del Carmen was around 5 Euro.
All in all a lovely break and would definatley go again.
We did not have children with us but think it is too quiet for children as not much for them to do here.
The bar was closed but this did not spoil it for us.

we stayed at the Guacimea in May 2010. The bar was closed, the restuarant was closed, no parsols for shade, if you get a ground floor apartment there is no sun at all and if you get the top floor there is no shade. Worst of all the pool was filthy littered with leaves and bugs, it was partially cleaned once towards the end of our holiday. And how did they clean it? by hosing the dirt at the side of the pool into the pool. Needless to say no one used the pool and the complex if you could call it that was half full. oh and we got bit numerous times in the apartment persumably from the sofa.
do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Cannot praise highly enough. Lovely apartments and the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever come across. We were originally allocated a ground floor apartment, nice but they haven't got much of a view. Enquired at reception as to availability of a first floor one and within 3 hours they had changed it for us. First floor apartment quite small but beatifully laid out with stunning views over the pool and down to the sea from the front terrace and a second small balcony off the rear bedroom with views over the mountains. Great swimming pool though weak swimmers need to be careful as the main pool slopes sharply - the water goes from waist height to head height in just two or three steps, although there is a seperate shallow pool for the little ones.
Nice pool bar serving snacks, drinks and cocktails for much of the day.
Reception area has internet access (1 euro for 15 minutes which isn't bad) and a small but reasonably stocked mini market.
Our return flight to Manchester was cancelled 10 minutes before boarding and with no further flights that evening we returned to guacimeta. They gave us the keys to our apartment and when we left the next day they wouldn't accept payment - simply stunning customer service!
The only negatives I could give are:
As per a previous comment, a microwave would be more than useful.
The TV isn't free, you have to pay 10 euros per week and the range of channels is limited, the only English speaking channels were sky news, CNN and Eurosport (though this was overdubbed with German which was annoying after a while)

Just back from a very nice holiday.The apartment was very clean , the room cleaning service was 1st class. the room double glaze which made it very quiet at night,all the staff were very helpful. I would go back again.
however the pool bar and snack bar was not open
