Arrived at 10.30 and hoping to get into room but unforutnately not till after midday. We got twin bedroom which we were not expecting but not a big deal. Breakfast was very basic, no fruit, you made your own toast but machine not working properly so you had to put it in at least 3 times to get a slight shade, scramble eggs (very runny), it was the same thing everyday with no variations at all and don't go after 9.30 as they start packing it all away even though it is supposed to be serving till 11.00. Also beware that the chambermaids knock at 8.30 looking for your towels to wash, so if you decided to go to breakfast and shower afterwards forget it as they do not return them till after 5.00. The only 4/5* about this hotel is the reception area as the bedrooms are only 2/3. The centre will take you at least 45 minutes to walk to (not helped by the heat) and then when you get there you are pestered all the time by the beggars and the tradespeople. But do try the food at the stalls (we had lamb kebabs and sausages most nights and they are lovely) also the fresh orange juice. Also a ride on the Tour Bus (Big Red Open Top) it travels past the hotel every 20 mins and you can stop it anytime and this is well worth doing as you can get on & off at anytime. I would say 3 days is enough as there is not much to see unless you travel onto Casablanca which we shall do next time.

Generally very pleased all round, good hotel. Food in restaruants is over priced. But breakfast, basic but nice, pool is also adequate, rooms are very clear wit balcony and fantastic shower, in room electric safe which is great, very very close to the centre of town, 10min drive. located in the nicest district with lots of cafes nearby and two very nice clubs too!

Prior to booking this hotel I searched various sites to see the previous customer reviews and found that they varied but overall were positive about this hotel. Unfortunately I am not so positive! It all started when we arrived at Gatwick to find that Lastminute had not booked our flights - but had - of course - taken the money for them. After frantic phone calls by the very helpful lady at the BA check in desks - we DID get on the flight - phew you might think! We got to the hotel around tea time - and were given a room - "we will give you a better one tomorrow" we were told by the man on reception. OK - great - no unpacking then - and in fairness - we were moved the next day to the room we had requested (ie. a double - be warned - there are only 10 doubles in the whole hotel). ROOMS - The rooms were clean, and linens are changed daily. STAFF - the only member of staff that ever cracked a smile was the chambermaid. The other staff were surly and downright rude at times. Hardly anyone - it appears - has any english - or perhaps they just choose not to use it. Menus and hotel information is all in French, and it doesnt appear to be geared up in any way towards English visitors - or indeed tourists at all - not even a map is available in reception. FOOD - well where to start! If you like your food hot - dont eat at the buffet restaurant. If you like a varied diet - dont eat at the buffet restaurant! There is - however, always lots of salad every meal time. If you like salad - great - if you dont or are wary of the hygiene - you are extremely limited. There is NOTHING for children (unless they like salad. A LOT!) Breakfast is possibly the best meal. Basically there is bread and pancakes (invariably cold - and when the staff told this - tried to tell us they were not). Scrambled egg (cold and runny), and pastries. Breakfast is the only meal you will see butter for your rolls. POOL - COLD about sums it up! But in fairness it was February - and am sure its a welcome respite in the summer. Pool area appeared well tended and cleaned daily. You do have to seek out the pool boy from a subteranean area to get a towel though! LOCATION - basically in a quiet area mostly populated by hotels and banks. Busy dual carriageway leading from the airport to the town immediately outside. Not really walking distance to places of interest, and stick to your guns with the taxi drivers - aim to pay half what they initially ask (20 dirhams to the square/souks was always finally accepted by the petit taxis). Overall - and adequate base - dont bank on spending any time there - no entertainment - drinks VERY expensive - staff unwelcoming and unhelpful. Overheard another english couple saying they felt like they were "being treated like lepers". Sums it up really!

We had a wonderful time in Marrakech. This hotel was fine, rooms basic but clean. Food not very good. We found the location fine as we were out of the main hassle area my hubby hated so much.
Marrakech is a wonderful city with lots of interesting things to see, we went on a mountain trip from the hotel and I highly recommend it , coach stopped at a Berbers house on route and we saw how they lived in these shacks and had hot mint tea and homemade bread ,fab experience. We did all the usual tourist trips and thoroughly enjoyed everyone of them.
Open top bus trip for about £8 for 24 hours you could hope on and off the bus as many times as you like ,there were 2 buses 1 for all the tourist stops and another taking you to the outskirts of Marrakech to view palm trees ,desert ,camels etc , we loved this trip.
We also went on a horse and cart into some famous gardens and visited 2 castles, loved Marrakech and hopefully 1 day we will revisit it.

We stayed in this hotel for one week. The rooms were clean and spacious.
Staying half board we feel we got off lightly thank goodness we weren't full board. You had the same food for dinner and again for the evening meal and this was repeated day after day lamb and salad and the only fruit were grapes.
We complained after the third day as my children weren't eating anything we were then allowed to eat in the a la carte restaurant without paying. Eat at your own risk as several people in my party of 11 had explosive diarrhoea.
The drink is very expensive and the larger will cost you £7 a pint however up the supermarket they sell it at a fraction of the price but be careful as they don't like you bringing it back into the hotel to drink.
Getting about is really easy plenty of taxis but be careful they will try and charge you more.
The entertainment was virtually nonexistent except a singer in the evening.
There is plenty to see if you venture out what an experience you must see.
Glad I went this was an experience I would not have got otherwise but I don't think I would go back this is what travelling is all about having new experiences outside the UK.

It's a Fantastic Hotel just based outside the Medina wall, excellent location and very good view from the room.
You need to speak French or Arabic to get around as hardly anyone speaks English, I had difficulty moving around and communicating.
I would recommend Morocco to anyone but knowledge of French and English is a must.

I was surprised to find Marrakech very authentic . There are few modern buildings and the city is very safe . My whole stay in the city was very relaxing and enjoyable.
there are alot of strong point like the food , the atmosphere and friendly people but also has weakness like passport control at the small airport takes ages , the language barrier (they only speak Arabic and French fluently ) and some basic stuff more expensive .
I love Marrakech , it comes to life at night time and to experience this you will need to go the city square and se all the beautiful women but be careful there is strict law when it comes to couples in public, most of the things allowed in London is seen as an eyesore and frowned upon.
Overall fantastic place to visit plus off course very cheap available

We stayed for one night at the hotel prior to returning home, We travel frequently as my husband is Moroccan we tend to use Marrakesh on the way home as it is cheaper for us to fly from here than Agadir, this was my first experience of this hotel.
Our first impressions were very good we were greeted at reception by a very friendly gentleman and as we have a young daughter he upgraded us to the Royal suite free of charge which we were very greatful for.
Arriving at the room there was so much space and everything looked very clean a couple of things I would mention however that there were no curtains or blinds in the bathroom which although on the 5th floor looked out on to the busy street and there was quite a lot of dust something i wouldnt expect for a 4 star rated hotel, but this is just minor things the bed was very comfortable and we had a very enjoyable nights rest.
What really lets the hotel down is the breakfast and in particular the restaurant staff! The don't have a clue what they are doing the breakfast was appauling and I certainly did not expect to receive a chipped tea cup!!! after a sip of what was supposed to be orange juice and a slice of toast I left utterly dissapointed.
However the public areas the gardens and the pool were well maintained and clean there are a few shops inside the lobby area and the water feature made the ambience of the place... I will be travelling to Marrakesh again soon but unfortunatley wont be re-visiting the ATLAS ASNI there are better hotels with better value for money available..
