I was at the hotel for two weeks and had a great time. i went with my partner and our son (3)who loved could not fault the place but happy i went at the end of season. As it was only 3/4 full and still very busy would be a nightmare in the peak.Had no problems with the food and the staff go out off there way for you. We used saragerme tours and they were great are guide was sam and was very good full off information. the only problem was the town its self we had a steak from a resturant and my girlfriend was ill off the mushroom source so i would stay clear of that and the prices in the hotel in the shops was terrible very exspensive. one last thing they have a great photo shop and spa wish we would have known and brought more money all in all a great holiday would go back tomoorow

The hotel was beautiful and clean. I have two children a girl of 8 and a boy of 3. And they loved it, there are so many pools to choose from and they are so clean to.
The entertainment reps are excellent; they work so hard morning, noon and night.
We had a family room, it was brilliant, and there is even a TV with English channels for all ages.
And as for the food, it was delish. Breakfast isn’t the best, but it was ok but lunch and evening meal made up for that,
We did 3 trips while there - Jeep Safari, Fethiye Market and Dalyan mudbath. All were very good although next time I would book locally rather than with First Choice. The first choice rep was very condescending and gave us inaccurate information, he also over charged us!!!
There is a place called sarigerme tours which is on the right hand side when you get into the town which has a fantastic reputation, we would definitely book through there next time!!!
We enjoyed everything about this holiday that we have recommended it to friends and they have decided to come with us next year

The hotel was great could not fault the food their was always pasta on for the kids if they did not like any of the main dishes their was always a good selection and you could eat from 7 am till 1am. The staff were very efficient somtimes too efficient, you had to leave somebody at the table because they cleared it up very quickly.
the tours we took were through sarigerme tours we had a great time, we done the turkish bath 2nd day, mud baths, jeep safari, twelve island tour. they were all great the jeep safari was great fun we got soaked every time we passed a house all the kids mums dads and grampas' were all throwing water over us.the driver was ace and made it very exiting the views were great. if you need anything oz is your man. his team is great aswell. give him a phone before you go and he will tell you what you need to know. you can get his number on sarigerme.net if you are looking for genuine jewellery can recommend attila the jeweller half way up the street on the left.
all in all the holliday was great. Hope this helps.

Party of 4 adults and 4 girls aged 10/11. Booked a year in advance even though previous reviews made us nervous! This is 2 Joy Hotels linked as one large resort(Palace=Blue wristband, Tropical=Orange).Booked a veggie meal on plane and on check-in, the clerk noted the request but didnt enter it onto the system so when meals were handed out and there was nothing for me- i was offered a plastic cheese sandwich! Got a voucher to get my money back (same happended on the way home but no voucher!)Insisted and promised by First Choice agent at booking that we would all be allocated the Tropical side as it was described as less busy (and Palace is mainly British chavs!). On arrival, discovered that our group were split up on different sides and our request ignored! The FC motto seems to be passify and pass the buck! no effort made to resolve the problem so we just got off the bus on the Tropical side, went straight to the front of reception and thanks to Yagiz, all was sorted! Glad we did stay on Tropical as Palace was bonkers-too busy, not as clean and typical Boozy Brits on hols! Hotel complex is beautiful, very clean, rooms are ideal, Sky TV, bath and shower, small balcony, safebox (mattress hard though so swapped with one of my daughters and slept on the sofabed). Entrance to restaurant has hand antibac gel spray so please use it! Plenty on offer for all tastes and although can be repetitive, if you're not greedy, you will be able to try something different each day! Yes there are busier mealtimes with queues but there is always something to eat throughout the day in the main restaurant or pool bars. Disappointed that the fresh orange juice wasnt part of AI. Recommend you book all your al a carte restaurants in one go when you arrive as they can be popular and meals are definitely better. Steak house was fabulous although pricey-just remember your mozzie spray as it's by the pond! Beer is severely watered down, and no AI cocktails- boo! Ice cream only free for 2 hours per day. Staff are polite and helpful and very quick to take your empty glasses and dirty crockery away! The complex is big enough to find a quiet spot away from the main pool and noise- enough beds but not enough cushions- just get the fab beanbags from the adult bar near the beachside! Kids clubs are great and plenty activities to keep them busy! staff work hard and night entertainment aimed more at young ones- not as much for adults...- ok I did the Chocolatey Dance! I had a Turkish Bath and full massage package at the hotel and it was really lovely- do it at the beginning before you start sunbathing but don't get lured into follow up appointments! Trips were booked in the village with Sarigerme Tours- They pick you up and drop you off outside your hotel. did 12 Gocek islands boat trip, Snorkelling, Mud Baths and Jeep Safari between us- all cheaper than FC and all fab! Poolslides only open for 2 x 2 hours per day. Worst factor was one or other of the pools being closed daily due to kids pooing in them! come on parents- make the effort to keep them out if they have gippy bellies and change their nappies regularly please! Sea /beach is clean but not really suitable for playing/swimming for young ones. the shore dips away sharply and the current is quite strong. Jump on the dolmus bus and try another local one. The village is a 20 min walk or 5 min bus ride away. it is small, quiet with a few shops selling the usual tshirts, leather goods & souveniers, bank, pharmacy, restaurant, barber. Market is on Sunday- barter everything down 50% and work from there! all in all, a holiday is what you make it! no real complaints but would go to a smaller complex with less people next time.

We booked last year as a late deal and we were worried what it was going to be like, but overall we were very happy. The taxi transfer is a must to take you to and from the airport to the resort - no sitting on a bus. We had a Jacuzzi suite which was rather misleading as we were expecting an actual Jacuzzi instead we had a bath that had vents in it to make it a Jacuzzi! The food in the restaurant was excellent, piping hot and fresh, and plenty of choice.
the whole complex was very clean, loads of sunbeds, water fairly warm for June, and loads of daytime activities for the little darlings.
They have a wonderful selection of about 4 or 5 songs that they play every day over the tannoy. Rolf Harris never had so much publicity.
The beach is fairly good, considering it is a nesting site for the loggerhead turtles and as such cannot be cleaned. It is completely natural.
Staff were always very clean and well presented and eager to help if you had any problems.
Excursions put on by First Choice were far too expensive, so if you want to do any visit BASKET TOURS in Sarigerme town - great tours and nice and cheap. We had a fab time and have booked again for this year
Look forward to going back next year had the best time of my life, well done to all at the Holiday Village Turkey...

Have just got back today and my 2 kids age 5,8 have nagged me that much I will be going to buck next years trip back to the palace first time we have ever gone back to the same hotel.
The children enjoyed the kids clubs and the evening entertainment was great the staff work so hard, if you want to watch a show, do a quiz or sit around the bar and relax you can chose the kind of holiday that suits you.
The only problem we did have is a couple of days of flat beer but this was soon sorted by talking to the management. Sad we have to wait a year to go back. Operator - OK. Be aware that their job is to push their trips/excursions whereas there are other good options available in nearby village of Sarigerme.
Excursions - Did Jeep Safari - great fun! Scuba diving - excellent trip, good instructor & nice crew. Did with BASKET TOURS that the Mud Baths trip was very good.
Shopping - Can get all you need in Sarigerme village; lots of shops and quiet this year so can haggle good deals. Market there also on Sunday which is good and fun. Sunday is Market day in Sarigerme and an experience not to be missed.
Money - we took Turkish Lira, but needn't have bothered as you can pay for most things in Sterling.
All in all a brilliant holiday and I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for those who have children.

We had a great holiday for weeks at the Holiday Village Turkey. The resort was in two parts, we stayed in Palace (blue side) such a lovely place that i was pleasantly surprised at the suite we stayed in.
The staff was pleasant, how ever the reception and guest relations need to improve their bilingual skills.
Food appalling and lack of variety: cardboard chips, undercooked burgers, flies, flies and more flies. Milk, coffee, wine, water, ice cream running out. Grubby table tops and baby chairs, water dispensers and crockery.
If you do decide to holiday at Palace side , be mindful that First Choice charge nearly triple price for the trips comparing to local travel agency named BASKET TOURS. They do better trips and really good value for money.
All the trips we booked through BASKET TOURS were fabulous!!! We did the Dalyan trip and the Jeep trip with Basket Tours in the village and these were both excellent days out with lots to do and excellent guides. Jeep safari is a must; we were in a convoy of 2 jeeps and had the best day ever! The staffs were fantastic (Ken was the guide who spoke most English) It was fun, fun, fun all day. I'll say one thing be prepared to get wet! Lunch was also provided at a riverside restaurant, this was also fantastic. Definitely worth the price and more.
Get out of the hotel just walk for 10 minutes down to village or get on a taxi. You will see the sign for BASKET TRAVEL on the left hand side when you enter to Sarigerme Village.
Overall the holiday was good and I would like to thank you all the staffs working at BASKET TOURS for MAKING OUR HOLIDAY.

Me, my husband and 3 sons have just returned from two weeks in the Holiday Village Tropical and am already pricing for next year!
The complex is superb with the largest pools I’ve seen which to be fair are a tad cold but we went in may. Kids pools are all one depth and my 2 year old could use without a safety vest/wings. Bars are set out well with a 1min walk between each so it does not feel like you are all in the same place.
The food was lovely in the buffet. There were there restaurants in the resort, an Indian, Italian and a TURKISH. The service was a little bit slow but if you wait patiently you can get splendid foods. The buffet had a good selection of hot food, salads, fruit, desserts and ice cream. You can also get snacks such as burgers, nuggets, pizza during the day from the pool snack bars. You can get food until 1.30 am if you are peckish at night. The bar service was fine also - no big queues.
We have booked in several trips through a local agent called BASKET TRAVEL on the left hand side when you enter the town). They charge nearly half price for the trips than First Choice does.
Thanks to all the staff of basket tour team ,especially to CAN.we had a great holiday with them, we did the jeep safari and mud bath & the turtle beach trips, every now and again my sons still talk about the jeep safari, for any kids of trip to every where. Find the guy named CAN for the trips in basket tour travel agency...

Having reviewed this hotel and got very positive reviews we were disappointed. After an 18 hour delay we eventually arrived at the hotel to find our room not ready, even though we should have been there the day before. We were told to go and have breakfast and our room would be ready in an hour. all we wanted to do was get out of the clothes we were in and get a shower and get in the pool. The room itself was of a good size, very clean, and fairy sapcious. The bathroom could be abit more modern but it was satisfactory, be careful with the tiled floor when you get out of the bath - I slipped and cut my knee. House keeping didn't come till 6pm daily which was too late but they did come earlier when I complained, as we didn't want them there when we coming back from the pool.
The food in the hotel was fairly poor, very repetitive and unimaginable. If you like chips, pasta and chicken you will be fine.
We ate out in the town a couple of times to break the monotiny of the "canteen". The dining room was very noisey and you had to hover at times to get a table and even then we had to go up in stages to get our food or somebody would take your table.
It was a very rushed affair going for dinner.
The pool area was very busy and noisey with music playing rather loudly. This happened when the slides where open - 10-12 ans 3-5pm. The sun beds were crammed in with no space between them, and the usual thing of getting up early to claim your sunbeds was going on. We had found a smaller pool around the corner near the jasmine bar. fewer sunloungers and quieter all round.
The hotel was very busy with the majority being british with a few french and german. I did feel left out as I did not have everything on my body tattooed!!
Overall I thought the hotel was good, the facitilies were good, the food okay but boring , but the people let it down. It was abit like a glorified butlins. There are 1000 rooms in this hotel.
One person had his rucksack stolen from his room on his first day and on one day there was poo in the pool, which we had to go and sort out and get the hotel staff to clean it - it took 20mins for somebody to come, with the big pool being a haven for ear infections. the mosquitoes were abit of a problem they would bite at anything that hadn't been sprayed with anti insect spray.
We hired the speed boat from the beach for 3 hours and went snorkeling and diving and had lunch at a really great restuarant. That was one of the best bits about the holiday.
We and two other famillies hired a mini bus and went to Dalyan for the evening and that was good.We hired the bus in the village with SARIGERME TOUR WITH ADAM.
The town has a market every sunday it is ok with the usual tee shirts, leather goods ,football shirts and jeans and they like to be paid in sterling.
The evening entertainment was not brilliant but all the staff worked hard and tried their hardest to make your stay enjoyable.
Overall the holiday was good but I wouldn't rate it a 5 star hotel.
would we go back not in august, not in high season.

The food at the resort was dreadful and we found it difficult to eat as it was so bad. For a supposedly 4* hotel the food was decidedly 1* if that. If you like mass produced over cooked slop that all tastes the same this is the place for you. Even the salads and puddings pretty much all tasted the same. The italian indian and turkish restaurants on site that you have to book for weren't much better.
The buffet restaurant was like sitting in an airport lounge really bright noisey and not very friendly for those who just wanted to sit and have a quiet meal. The booze is also dreadful unless you like beer which i was told wasn't too bad.
Generally the hotel was good though not all inclusive as stated. you have to pay for most things other than food and drink and evening entertainment. For example you had to pay £10 fro tennis racquets £5 for balls and pay a £25 deposit.
The excursions offered by SARIGERME TOUR were excellent if you don't want to sit around the pool all day. Go and find adam at sarigerme tour,he will look after you.
Generally this hotel was for families and if all you want to do is sit in the sun by the pool and eat rubbish then go!

We stayed at the Tropical for 11 nights the hotel was busy because it was the summer holidays but because it is a big hotel it didn't feel over crowded. The grounds are beautiful with well kept gardens and the place was kept very clean.
We stayed in a suite which was plenty big enough for the four of us and it was cleaned daily, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning coped with the 39 degree heat.
The food was excellent and it was still hot when you got to your table, the chefs were show cooking in front of the guests and there was a huge selection of food. The pancake house served the best pancakes ever.We managed to get something to eat when we arrived late at night because there is a midnight buffet. You can get drinks all day until midnight and there are water fridges where you can help yourself. It was nice to beable to eat in the Al lar carte restaurants the Italian and Asia restaurants were lovely the Turkish not so good which was a shame.
There are five pools in total three have slides which the children and us adults loved the pools were kept spotless whilst we were there and there were plenty of sunbeds and sunshades, you could change your pool towels daily.
The chill out bar is a must at night it is beautiful.
There is lots of entertainment during the day and at night, the night time shows were good however if you are there for two weeks you will see the same show twice, the mini disco is really good for the children. There is a wide range of activites at the kids club too.
The beach is nice especially if you walk along the beach where the water is more shallow. We went on the fast boat trip which was very enjoyable.
This area of Turkey is beautiful we went on the Dalyan discovery trip and had a fantastic day in the mud pool and on the Dalyan river, the trip cost £80 for two adults and two children which included lunch and it was definately a day to remember. We also went to Atlantis Aqua park which I wouldn't bother with because the Aqua park was tiny not what we were expecting I complained to the Rep and feel Thomson shouldn't advertise this trip.
We had a Turkish bath at the hotel which was 2 hours of heaven.
The staff at the hotel worked really hard and they worked long days I didn't find them rude however they could of tried a bit harder to smile and to welcome their guests especially the bar staff.
There are only three things that I would change about the hotel, to beable to drink out of glasses at the pool bar at night, for there to be fried eggs at breakfast and for ice creams to be served for longer than two hours a day.
We had a fantastic holiday and would go back to this hotel again.
