Center Parcs Port Zelande

If you like Billys Burger bar then head over to Port Zelande center parcs.
Apart from the staff who are very friendly I struggle to find anything
compelling about this place. Lets give you the low down - This is a No BS feedback - Forget what others are saying about this place –
Im going to give you a direct feedback – If you still go please I hope you have a nice experience.
1. Bad - Swimming pool frankly not up to center parcs standard - Its tiny and has really none of the usual attractions - Coral Reef in Bracknell is better
2. Bad -Accommodation - Clean but tired looking
3. Bad – Place itself - Small - Really small - after a day you are just bored or biking around - You just see the same people sitting there with their kids looking as equally bored
4. Bad - Fun Factory - Not really fun - sort of crazy golf in a warehouse - thats about it .
5. Bad and Wierd - Childrens play - In Dutch - My kids were so bored they walked away - As did half the others - It was all very strange
6. Bad - Food - In the market hall - Totally terrible - I mean ghastly - If you like it all fried and processed then you will just love it. Nothing else is really open in the day - The Pizza place in the evening is OK and that’s all – Just OK . Billys burger bar - Emmmm.. Not
7. Bad - Villa - Drab grey looking in the main - A few are nicely coloured but overall look like 1970's grey breeze bloc communist cheap housing .
8. If you are there - Either Buy stuff from the shop - or eat at the Marina
- Despite what others say the marina isnt really anything - Its One restaurant - Thats it One – Don’t imagine you are walking around Capri, lookig at the beautiful fish resteraunts – You aint, Despite the Mediterranean comment someone put there its just the one place - Next to the the Yacht sales shop.
9. Good - The shop - Really its reasonable and has fresh food – Imagine that fresh food !
10. Good - Take a kite to the grey looking artificial beach and fly it - Little else to do in the force 8 gale blowing in from the North Sea.
11. Good - Take your car out to the nearby town - Cannot remember the name but begins with a Z .. Its about 8KM away - It has some nice places to eat and some really nice ice cream shops - Its pretty . It also has a shop that sells everything and is fun to walk around - Buy your kite from here if you need to .. (See 10)
Its really obvious this place wasnt designed by centre parcs - Apparently it was purchased into the chain about two year ago - You can tell if you have been to a CP before that its sort of not right - I would describe Port Zelande as a wart on the CP brand
Frankly - honestly try somewhere else - Like Center Parcs Erpenheide in Belgium - Its much better. If you keep going back there - Stop - Go to another center parcs - Because if you have rated Port Zelande 10/10 (I struggle to see why) but let me give you a tip - Do yourself a favour and go to another Center Parcs place - You will rate it 20/10
A Plea to center parcs - Either spend a huge amount of money to bring it upto scratch -20 Million should do it – especially on the Pools complex - Or just Shut the place down. Certainly stop advertising it like you have been – My visit bore no relevance to what I expected on the web site.
Its terrible - So terrible we actually left early . No kidding

My family and I go to Centre Parcs Port Zelande nearly every year and every single year we have LOVED it, there is so much to do for example; mini golf, archery, swimming, loads of fantastic restaurants and much more. The houses are to an impeccable standard and they never fall below our expectations.
The atmosphere is absolutely fabulous, if you're not keen because they look like very family themed places and there will be a lot of children, you're right BUT of course there are those places like the beaches and the divine restaurants and bars which I'm sure will satisfy all your needs.

This was a great holiday. The accommodation was basic but clean and comfortable. The facilities on site are very good. There is a massive sandy beach a short stroll / bike ride away. You can hire little hand-carts to transport your cooler and chairs, beach balls etc.
We got a special deal on evening meals by booking ahead; for myself and two children it worked out at about £200 or so for seven evening meals for the three of us. The food was nice too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We did SCUBA diving in the pool a couple of times; that was pretty good value and great fun - the instructor was fantastic with the children. The kids (9 and 11 at the time) loved it. It was a very safe environment and I was happy to let them go off and explore on their own. I'd definitely go back.
