Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for a week in June.
Our room was spotless and cleaned everyday. We had fresh towels everyday and they were white not grey. I did not see any bugs in or around the hotel.
The pool area was lovely and cleaned everyday. There were plenty of sun loungers and cushions to go around.
Breakfast was basic the usual breads, croissants, meats, tomatos and olives. There was plenty of tea and coffee. We didn't eat any evening meals in the hotel but we did eat from the snack menu. The meals were fresh and very reasonably priced around £2 for burger and chips.
The staff were very helful and pleasant at all times. The reception staff were very friendly and helped us to book taxis and excusrsions and managed to get them much cheaper than the companies in the town or on the beach.
The hotel was constantly being cleaned and there was also painting work going on in the communal area.
As for the disabled facilities durng our stay there was a wheelchair basketball tournament and there were several of the teams staying at the hotel. There a ramps in the restaurant and outside the hotel also lifts and on speaking to other guests they said they had enjoyed their stay and had no encountered any problems. Beware around Agadir if you have walking diffculties though as the pavements can be quite steep and the easiest way to get to the beach is down about 30 steps.
The hotel is in a great location 10 minutes walk from the beach and centre of the town.
I felt very safe I did not see any prostitution or crime and there were police directing traffic on most roads who were very nice stopping the traffic to let us cross the road.
We paid £50 each for 7 days bed and breakfast and I think it was excellent value for money. If you stay at this hotel don't expect 5* facilities but if you want a basic hotel with great service in a great location then I recommend the Sud Bahia.

Hi, I never write reviews, but I had such a great experience with this hotel I felt I should share it. Myself and my friend ( both females) stayed at this hotel for a week.
The staff are so friendly and helpful and you can have a great laugh with them.
The hotel is spotless. The cleaning staff are always washing windows, and floors.
Wasn't too fussy on the food however its so close to everything we ate out most nights.
the night disco is a brilliant laugh, it went on till 430am. It was mostly full of locals but they were more than friendly and we danced the night away to the moroccan music.
on my next visit I will be staying the this hotel. You can't go wrong with the price and all staff are so nice.

We was a party of 10 and stayed for 5 nights in May 07 and must admit was pleasantly surprised.
Basically for what we paid it was excellent value and location was great - 5 minutes from beach!
But would not recommend breakfast, tried it once and since had no plan to go back for brekky!
Rooms are a decent size and pool is pretty large too, quite basic though!
All in all if you looking to travel on a budget then this hotel is ideal.

Well we got to Morocco just after the Easter holiday season.
Got there early in the morning, first impression well its 3 star hotel, so did not expect too much, the lobby was nice plenty of big comfy sofas, pool table, and 2 large TV’s in both corners of the room.
Went to room it was tiny, had two small beds we had a swimming pool balcony view, the bathroom was basic had a few cracked floor tiles.
The room had no a/c, I thought oh no, it’s going to be so hot at night, in Africa with no a/c. How am I going to get to sleep at night? But as I found out as the week went it was damn cold at night, so luckily no need for a/c.
We had half board, but the breakfast was very poor coffee, break, and jam with scrambled egg.
The main meal at night was like a choice of 2 set menu's all in French, so had to ask the waiters for translation (not like a buffet style am used to in hotels) starter, main meal and desert.
Drinks/water were all extra (there should have been like local soft drinks free) and the food was not very nice at all, my friend after the second day did not even bother going there for dinner.
The food in Morocco was very cheap so eating out as we did most of the time was fine.
We did not go into the hotel pool as it was so cold, most we did was sit on the edge of it and dip our feet in it.
The hotel had a late night club at the back of it, we found out on the last day that was okish, full of locals but was open till about 4am.

This is very much a budget hotel and I mean budget. This hotel is shabby, not very clean and smells. The staff we're not very forth coming. The pool didn't look like it had been cleaned in a month let alone everyday and we actually watched them clean it. In my opinion it needs draining and a good scrub!
The shower was a few drips. The air conditioning looked like it was from the 1800s and created an electric smell that smelt unsafe. The safe was pathetic!
This was advertised to us as a 3 star hotel, however we got chatting to an Irish man who informed us it's actually rated as a 2 star in Ireland a more appropriate rating and even that is generous!
My mum and I actually moved hotels the next day ('the beach club') at a cost, which was lovely. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! If like my mum and I you get a choice between the Karmel or Sud Bahia go to the Karmel!

What a great hotel! The staff are such great people, and will do anything to make sure you enjoy your stay at Sud Bahia Hotel. The waiters are fun people and like to have a laugh with you during the day. There is security at the hotel, porters etc. The chambermaids were nice, and did a really good job of cleaning the room daily. The owner of the Hotel is also a really cool guy if you get to meet him.
Its situated close to shops, bars, cafes etc, so you dont need to go far unless you choose to. theres lots of things to do in Agadir including the fish market, Valley of the birds and the Kasbah.
View from our balcony was fantastic and gave us a real taste for Moroccan life, as we could see out across the moutains but over the town too. I was amazed by the arabic writing which was on the mountains and was made from lights, and looked fab at night time!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone if visiting Agadir - which is a beautiful place!

Well what can I say. This hotel is great. Clean, well maintained, great staff and service and within a 5 minute (enjoyable) walk of the beach. There is an ATM machine just outside that accepts UK visa (debit/ credit) cards and a great little newsagents that sells cheap (Nivea so good stuff) sun tan lotion, so wait till you get there before you buy.
The complex is nicely contained with a good sized pool that gets cleaned and looked after well on a daily basis and the surrounded grassy areas have more than enough loungers so there is no late night towel placements required. Also there are free range tortoises just roaming round you as you sunbathe which is quite a novelty (free lettuce from the restaurant).
The rooms are large and airy (very Mediterranean) with comfy beds, a TV with 8 channels including an English movie channel if that is what your into, a fairly decent sized bathroom with a bath/ shower etc.
The balcony is nice also as we were overlooking the pool and the mountain. It also got the evening sun allowing for breathtaking sunsets to be taken in as you enjoy a drink and a game of cards.
The restaurant is well laid out with the breakfast consisting of quite simple (typically foreign) foods including loads of fresh bread, salami's, olives, honey's and a good strong cup of coffee.
The internal bar has entertainment in the form of cabaret and the main singer is more than willing to dedicate songs to you (as we experienced much to our delight) if you are prepared to acknowledge that he is doing a great job.
We also stumbled across the hotels club 'Club Bahia' which is round the West side of the hotel, on the way back from a night out and had a fantastic taste of Moroccan culture courtesy of a live band who played every night till about 5:30am (for you night owls). The beer is cheaper than in Agadir Town and the Shisha Pipes (spell check) work out at about £4 which is really good and they tend to the tabac as and when is needed. The staff are really friendly and they absolutely love the English but make sure that you don't take any pictures inside as the Moroccan culture does not welcome it as they are quite private people. Respect it!
We stayed for just one week and the Weather was in the 40's every day. I would definitely stay there again if visiting Agadir and I would recommend it to anyone on a slight budget as a great hotel to stay in.
