The hotel was absolutely gorgeous and the selection and quality of food was outstanding. It was about a five-minute walk from the beach so it was a good location too. Agadir itself is a very nice place. In hindsight we would have taken some warmer clothes for the evenings... more

Generally a good resort, clean and tidy, staff ok. Down sides: No variety in the food (pretty bland), got fed up with getting ripped off by the locals and some guys who have a herbs stall on the complex. First day there we got ripped off for £30. Tell them to do one if... more

I stayed at this hotel for a week with my dad and 7 year old sister (she had a great time). 1. The food in the buffet was always the best but if trying the themed meals I would only put forward the pizza (which also is a snack bar in the day time); 2. Rooms were basic but... more

We stayed for two weeks at this hotel; however I wish it had only been for 1 week. The resort as a whole was ok, very clean and tidy. The cleaners work very hard to keep the complex and your rooms clean. The rooms were very basic, very, and small! We had a few problems with... more

Please please do not go there, we just got back - I am 44 and my girlfriend is 45. It is dreadful, you would not believe how bad, staff are fine yes but the rooms and everything else, like food really bad. I have stayed in lots of hotels and this is by far the worst, disgusting.

ideal place
Hi all, Just returned from this great hotel, if you have read some of the bad reviews, take no notice, they have probably been written by people with expectations far above the 3* reality. Firstly let me say the hotel is 2 hotels in 1, the tamlelt and the carribean agador village, the place is massive, 5 pools, loads of tennis courts, few shops by agador reception 4 bars, ampitheatre with usual staff based entertainment ,But they try real hard to please, Short but worth seeing. spa/massage palour, small but adequate gym, mini-golf, Shishi pipe cafe( nightly- with small charge),nightclub, plenty of sunbeds, but usual morning draping of the towels ceremony. Good choice of 6 restaurants, food/drink is great, staff are amazing, and very helpful. Rooms are nothing special, But hey you only sleep/wash in it !! and they are perfect for that, well cleaned and maintained, fresh towels daily etc. only 1 slight comment, Not enough seating around main pool in evenings, and it does get VERY COLD in the evenings, and there is not a great deal of inside seating, only up in the agador reception Bar, so take a few jumpers/cardigans etc. Beach is 5 min walk out of rear of hotel, there is much building work here at the moment, But only at the start of the beach, so does not ruin anything, in the summer time this will be lovely place to walk when prom is finished. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me...Most of all ENJOY.............C..YA..............ROBBIE
Great holiday in Agadir
1st time to Morocco with Husband and 3 children 14, 13 and 9. I was a bit aprehsive booking with my teenage daugters as I feared they might get unwanted attention but do not fear. We all had a terrific time at this complex everyone is sooo friendly and helpful. We always go 3* plus all inclusive and I have to say this was the best Ive ever stayed at. Food good, entertainment excellent, clean in fact me and some people we met felt that the hotel was kind of overstaffed but that was good for the customers as there is always someone around to help. The moroccons can be sort of over friendly not in a bad way but if your sunbathing reading a book they still will sit down and start a chat but you do get used to it. Buying in Morocco is fun if you like a haggle but only offer about a quarter of the price they always start at about 400 dinahs but you can usually get it between 50 and 100 dinahs. Overall for the price you get sun all year round, friendly people good food and basic but clean acommodation (note no air conditioning - fine in March but Im not sure in Summer). We will definately be booking a Moroccon holiday again.
value for money
it was the first time me and the mrs had been away with out the kids,we didnt miss them once as we had one of the most fun packed weeks ever.from the cleaners to the animation team i never came across any of them without a smile. the weather just added to the warm welcome given by these people.great value for money and only three hours away,we will be back before the year is out. glynn, sue, staffs
What a fantastic holiday!
My boyfriend and I got back yesterday from a week at the Tamlelt and all I can say is I've got major post holiday blues! We booked last minute and got a fantastic deal, but after going I would happily have paid more if I had to... the weather was very hot for the time of year, the people in the hotel are lovely and friendly, the hotel itself was beautifully laid out with well-kept gardens, pools and outdoor bars. There were a couple of heated pools for those of us who wouldn't brave the bigger colder ones - but I'm sure they would heat up at the height of the season when it gets even hotter? The animation team work very hard day and night - they organise plenty of sports during the day and pool-side activities which usually brought in a crowd, and the evening entertainment was a lot better than what we've experienced before (although there were some cringeworthy moments as with any entertainment sketches!!) The weather was fab during the day especially considering it's only March (21 - 25c everyday) but it does get rather chilly at night like others have said so take some long trousers and cardigans/ jumpers... you'll definately feel the benefit of that little bit of extra luggage! The room was very nice and clean - I was slightly worried reading others reviews and went expecting a hellhole of a room but ours was actually quite nice. Yes it was simple but it wasn't bad by any means... a lot better than what I'd prepared myself for! The food in the restaurant was OK... there was always something for everyone and we managed to fill our plates up everyday with something nice.. personally I was a fan of the omelettes in the morning - very yummy! We would definately go back to the Tamlelt/Caribbean Village and recommend it to anyone (apart from if you have mobility difficulties as there are a lot of steps everywhere!) Some of our friends are still out there and I'm feeling very jealous sat here in the cold English weather again and back to reality. Don't listen to the bad reviews... we loved it!!!
I would definitely recommend the El Pueblo Tamlelt!
I've just got back from a lovely week at the El Pueblo Tamlelt, I was going away with my mum for a 'lazy week by the pool' kind of holiday and this was absolutely perfect. The weather was great for the time of year, it was 20-25 degrees every day and lovely and sunny. The only other thing to mention about the weather was how COLD it got at night! It never occurred to me to check the night time temperatures and I so wish I had, it got very cold at night, so don't be like me and pack just lots of little dresses for the evening, make sure and throw some cardies and pashminas in too as it does get v.chilly. I personally really liked the food, if you go knowing that they've got a broad range of nationalities to cater for, so while you may not like all of the food, you will like some then you should be fine. The 5 a la carte restaurants provided relief from having to sample the buffet every night. I can't praise the animation team highly enough, they work SO hard to keep you entertained and the shows were fantastic, so much better than I've ever found while on holiday before. Everyone was very friendly and you could see that they really enjoyed their jobs. The facilities were good, although be warned that this hotel is definitely not for you if you're not very mobile, there were steps everywhere!! We counted and just from our room to the pool there were 64 steps! The pools were great, 4 to choose from which was good. Although the usual problem - lack of sunbeds! After crawling into bed late after a night out, the last thing we wanted to do was get up early to go and reserve a sunbed, but you had no choice really - it was 'if you can't beat them, join them' for us! Our only complaint, and this isn't about the hotel but Morocco in general, was the hassle while you were shopping. You're never just left alone to look, the shopkeepers pounce on you as soon as you get near their shop, we found this really uncomfortable so we chose not to shop in the end which was a real shame as the goods all looked fab and I've heard the prices are good if you're game for a haggle. Enjoy your stay, I wish I was going straight back! I think we'll definitely be going back next year.
brilliant
brilliant hotel ,great staff, animation team superb, cant fault this hotel ,food great ,rooms spotless, drink not watered down, location a 1
Good Complex
Stayed in this hotel during Feburary 2007 and found it to be adequate for our needs. We were looking for a cheap winter sun getaway and found it here. OK so its a little dated but theres plenty of character and the staff were great. The hotel is in fact two hotels with this one being further from the beach and facilities, this meant we had a nice quiet room. The complex is made up of a number of blocks and our room was on a floor all to itself which was great. There were a number of pools, be careful some of the tiles can be slippery. There was also a selection of restaurants and if you are all inclusive then you can eat in each one weekly at no charge, made a lovely change. Top tip is to slip the staff a few coins, especially around the buffet restaurant and bars, service improves greatly as like most people they work for their tips. The only downside during our stay was that the beach was being dug up. The upside is when its finished there will a really nice beach with a prom etc.
highly recommend
we have just returned from one of the best holidays. having read some of the comments cant say i was looking forward to it much, how wrong were those comments we had the best time. the hotel was basic but so clean the maids etc worked so hard. the reception staff, restuarant staff and bar staff so helpful and friendly they simply could not do enough. the weather by day was hot but be warned at night cold you will definately need jumpers however this was february. finally by biggest compliment goes to the activities team, these guys were professional in every way. i would highly recommend this hotel.
Fab place
Great all inclusive hotel, the food was varied & you had a choice of 5 a la carte restaurants as well as they buffet style restaurant & a vegetarian court. The a la carte included a sushi bar, a traditional Moroccan, a fish/steak house, a Chinese and a pizzeria. The service was excellent and all the staff really helpful and friendly. The pool & inside bars were excellent. The complex itself is linked with the Carribean Village resort, where between the two places (on the same site) are 2 outdoor heated pool, 2 unheated, good sports facilities & the hotel less than a 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach. There is good shoping opportunities within the complex & lots nearby too. The rooms were fairly basic, but adequate although the bed was one of the best hotel ones I have ever slept in! A great hotel in a great place, with great service & good all round facilities.
go to the tamlelt!! it is fantastic
we went to the tamlelt for 2 weeks in november, it was fantastic, from the cleaning lady to the bar staff and especially the animation team, they are the most helpful, friendly, happy people i have ever met. the rooms are basic but absolutly spotless. set in wonderful gardens the complex has quite a lot of steps, the beach is about 4miles of lovely golden sands, we are going back next year. give it a try.
