I have just returned from an amazing stay at the Andreas Pool. My boyfriend and I and my brothers and partners were staying here for the first time. As a family who have stayed in several places in Kassiopi we are all in agreement that this was by far the best place we have ever stayed. The appartment and studio were cleaned every day by a fantastic cleaner, the rooms were lovely and we were lucky enough to have a pool view. Not to mention the FREE airconditioning which we took full advantage of. The appartments are just a stroll from the main beach and the bars and restaurants in Kassiopi not far by any means but far enough to ensure you can have a quiet stay if that is what you are looking for. The owner of the appartments is extremely friendly communicating in Greek and the odd English word. I really cannot stress enough how amazing our holiday was and how great value for money the Andreas Pool is! I would strongly recommend these appartments to anyone!

  • Holiday Date:Jul 2011
  • Advice: The main beach is close by but if you keep walking around the headland there are lovely private coves you can spend the day at swimming in the lovely blue sea.

Just got back from the Andreas Apts in Kassiopi.Really nice setting with only 12 apts so there is never any trouble getting a sunbed.Smallish pool but big enough as there sre never many people in it anyway.Free air conditioning is a big plus, cleaner is very good, she always knows when you`re not in so she never ever troubles you for access. The owner is as daft as a brush but is very cheerful and will do anything for you but you need to persevere as she speaks very litttle English. The village itself is above average for a Greek resort but the harbour at the end of the village is really very pretty and there are many good restaurants and bars there.Take the coastal walk around the peninsusla and enjoy fabulous views across the sea to Albania as well as the many coves. So far around the walk there is a restaurant called Trilogia and if you go off the road on the track for about 50 yards you will find yourself in a stunningly beautiful pebbled beach /cove with beautiful clear blue water.Recommend all the restaurants as we tried most and were never disappointed

Not a nice place to stay
2 / 10
Dec 2009, gemmat85

These apartments was the one with own pool.
I booked with Direct Holidays to stay at Andreas nealry 12 months in advance as so popular. We had read so many reviews that were all nearly 10/10, we thought we wouldn't have any problems. All I can say is, lovely place to stay if you don't have a problem. We stayed in the room looking onto the pool, nice but remember to close your blinds as people in pool can see right into your apartment. The apartments were clean, but in need of updating.
Our air con did not work from day one. Informed rep and owner of apartments. Total waste of time. The owners were horrible to us, could hardly speak english so very hard to communicate with. They kept telling us air con was working, and was our fault messing about with remote. After 4 days arguing (which you don't need on your holiday) and help from rep the owner agreed air con not working.
But by this time, i had had nealy 7 nights sweating and hardly any sleep.
As said before, until you have a problem the owners are lovely. So be aware!
As for Kassippi. I could book again there. We had lovely time, beautiful place. Lovely places to eat and drink. Would recommend going on boat trip to Crofu town. Was brilliant night. Also renting a boat to go to all different bays. Brilliant if you enjoy snorkeling.

Have just come back from two lovely weeks at the Andreas. Have been to Corfu and other parts of Greece but these apartments are the best that we have stayed in. Clean confortable plenty of space for clothes nice kitchen area fab views from our balcony and free yes free air conditioning. The maid seems to know the time when you go to breakfast as when you arrive back some thirty mins latter the room has been cleaned and bed linen changed. The apartments are familiy run. The elderly lady greets you everytime she sees you which makes the atmosphere a lot more pleasant. No problem in getting a sun bed as only the guests are allowed to use them. Nice bar just over the road which sells beer and spirits at very reasonable prices and every Thursday they have a Greek Night where they have dancers and smashing of plates. Unfortunately Kassiopi have suffered from the english pound being so weak againt the euro. Restaurants and bars saying taking are down 30 percent from last year. This is a shame as Kassiopi is such a nice little resort. Only been back to Blighty three days but booked the Andreas again for next year as we would not like to stay anywhere else

we are back now from our holiday in the andreas apartments the one with its own pool.they were exellent the lady owner is great so as the cleaner.the rooms are cleaned every day except a sunday, sheets were changed twice a week.the pool is small but does the job.the place was full but you could go the sunbeds anytime and no one left a towel on the sunbeds if they went away from the pool area.everyone was friendly and knew each other by day 2.you get free air conditioning tv cooker utensils and can buy all your food and drinks from the supermarket and take them to the pool which is great as a can of pop is 60cents a can compared with ,2 euros at the other pools, and larger 40 to 90 cents compared with 2.50 3.00 euros at the bars and other pools.the owner gave us a gift wrapped bottle of appricot snaps and a bottle of wine that her husband makes.the resort itself is picturess and comes alive at night ,so plenty to do.prices have gone up since last year so take £100 extra to compensate .the lekas taverna across the road lookn after a croation family so anything you are not taking back you can take across to the lekas they very much appreciate it.well hope anyone staying at this andreas enjoys it as much as the holiday makers that were there when we were there.enjoy

for anyone booking the andreas apartments [dont get it wrong] book the one with the pool.this one is oppisite the eva studios and the lefkas taverna and next door to the matina apartments.these are in an exelent location and across the road you can enjoy a greek night . the resort centre is 200 yards 2mins stroll.( now then ) .the other andreas with all the complaints is up a side road at makis bar turn off with the use of the pool at the amilia apartments we stayed there 17 years ago and they have not changed ,it has the same paint and the rooms are dark and gloomy and views of walls 4 yards in front of window we had no balcony. hope this helps to differate the two .we are staying at the andreas with the pool on may 12th 2008 for 2 weeks we have already viewed these when we stayed next door at the matina and they look fantastic.will write a review when we return

My overall rating was 1, but that is only because that was the minimal rating available. My partner, daughter and I, have never been so disgusted with an accomadation in our lives. The WORST accomadation we have ever stayed in.

This was our 4th visit to these apartments. You cannot wish to be greeted and treated like a part of a family, not only by the owners of the apartments but residents of Kasioppi.
Love it so much that we have already booked for 2008.

Well I would like to try and clarify a few things,
Myself and partner + 2 daughters stayed at Andreas apartments, " the ones that share the pool with amali apartments" we could find no ref to these Andreas on the net,
so I will offer my best.
Location was good, close to everything yet in a quiet position. Shared pool was approx 100m away, clean with plenty of sun beds. Apartments could do with a good updating, i.e., electrics & furnishings, But as with Greece most things were clean & useable. Bedding towels & bins sorted every 2-3 days.
There is no air con, but you can hire fans at 1 euro a day from the little Geordie artist just opposite "say hello to fluffy the dog"

View from front apartments was ok, on to street & other homes with a glimpse of Albania.
But if you're at the back, you need a big ladder to see over the wall, which is approx 12 ft away & a good 30 ft high, "view zero"
In all honesty, for somewhere to sleep, wash, store you're belongings & eat out
I’d say 7-8 out of 10. Anything more, go elsewhere.
One last thing, if you are here and a small tanker pulls up outside at about 7 / 7.30 shut the windows fast if you are on the front.
They say it's water being delivered, I’d say it's something similar being taken away twice a week, pooh !!!
Kassiopi it's self is a fantastic place, eating wise, it's done by 10.30- 11.00 drinking, when the last man leaves. Not a "banging" type place, just good family / romance.
Places to do - for food, stroffilia, la luna & tex/mex
- for a dance & Greek night, Costa’s any night & micheal angelos on a Sunday night.
Best beach- small full & active= just past harbour
- Quiet but stoney with fantastic fish =avlaki, down from michealangelo apartments.

Have just returned from an excellent two week stay at the Andreas Apartments. So glad that we went with our first instinct.
The room was spacious for two and cleaned every day, bed linen was changed every other day as were the towels. This was my first time ever on a Greek island so the shower facilities were something of a revelation.
Only complaint was the lack of hot water on occasions but otherwise could not fault the place.
All rooms booked from the beginning of the season and a really good crowd of people from all over the U.K. The apartments were handy for shopping, eating, & drinking out etc but far enough away so there was no disturbance at night.
Booked in May as temperature was supposed to be 24 to 27 degrees - actually was up in the 30s for most of the holiday.
Will definitely be back at the same apartments again next year.

Worst place I have ever stayed the...

Mar 2007, Miss T McNulty

Worst place I have ever stayed the Andreas Apartments are dingy and drab they could do with a complete makeover. There was no air-con which I was told there was when I booked.
My family and I stayed in room 4. The view was spectacular if you fancy looking at a sixty foot wall. The boiler in the bathroom blew up leaving us with no hot water. My daughter lived out of her suitcase for two weeks because the wardrobes had been used to store winter blankets in and they really did smell.
I know wild cats exist in Greece but you could not open the doors without them running in. The rep was of no help, she did nothing to help us. In the end we had to make the most of what we had.
Kassiopi itself was a nice place with plenty of bars and restaurants but if you go there do not book with Thomas Cook.

My boyfriend and myself stayed here and it was everything we expected and more. The room was spacious for just the two of us, though you have to be able to cope with the Greek showers, which are common in most SC accommodation. The room was cleaned 6 days a week with towels changed every other day, and the cleaner even did the washing up a few times. The website and information state that the air-con is payable locally, in fact we never paid for it, and it worked a treat. Even had to turn it off some nights as it was too cold.
Kassiopi as a resort is brilliant, plenty of restaurants, bars and even a night club although we didn't go in. Quizzes and live music somewhere every night to keep everyone entertained.
The beach at Kassiopi is shingle, though there are sun beds on the main ones, but a few little hidden coves to explore also. A trip to Kalamaki beach is well worth it. A lovely sandy beach with gentle sloping seabed and very warm clear waters. Buses and boats go there daily for about 3 euros for the day. A boat also goes to Corfu Town on a day trip for 15 euros if you want to do more shopping, or see more sights.
Our apartments were far enough away not to get any people noise but close enough to walk home easily after a night out. Some apartments open their pools to anyone, if they buy a drink from the snack bar or pay for their sun beds, but the Andreas apartments clearly states that this is not the case, and its great having a large enough pool just to yourself. There were plenty comfortable sun beds and never any fights over them. The whole apartment block only has around 12 apartments and they are all My Travel/Direct Holidays so you really get to know the people who are staying around you.
Kassiopi really is such a friendly place, and the Greek people will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. As said in a previous review the owner lives next to the apartments, just on the entrance to them and always waves hello as you go past. She even offered to help carry our shopping from the supermarket for us on our first day. She also makes sure no one who isn't staying there gets into the complex, so you know your room is fairly safe. The Greek people in the tavernas and bars also remember you when you go back and are very friendly.
A highly recommended resort and apartments, I can see why people go back year after year. Already trying to book for next year.
