Went for a weekend in Amsterdam with a couple of friends and chose this hotel which was located on the corner of Rembrandt Square - a nice area. It's within walking distance of the Centraal Station (about 10 mins) so very handy.
The hotel itself has a modern interior, nice and stylish with clean, modern reception area with welcoming staff who speak good English.
The room was a good size, comfortable bed, heated floor in the bathroom with the choice of TWO showers, one being a power shower, the other a rain shower - not bad!
Secure left luggage of day of departure.
Amsterdam obviously is well known for its lively nightlife. I would recommend Smokey's Bar and Coffee shop which is close to the hotel. Also in Rembrant Square are plenty of snack stalls selling pizza and hotdogs and the like.
Round the canals is really quite pretty, watch out for cyclists!
