Appartments close to beach and main strip, pool across the road to use in the hotel valais also pool at the the mill snack bar about 3 mins down the road.rooms very basic but very clean no kettle, microwave or toaster, no air con and would seriously consider this when booking in august as unbearable to sleep as soooo hot and very uncomfortable, would not return for this reason, also nothing to do on the evenings pubs outside the appartments were empty. the beach was lovely and the sea was as warm as bath water.Restaurant outside the hotel was the best for food we found but not cheap. Plenty of water sports on the beach.There is super market up the road but very expensive and the prices were higher then ASDA.

These apartments are very well located to the beach and resort centre. There is a restaurant next door called the Romanza owned by the family who own the apartments.
The beach is 2 minutes to the left of the apartments and the resort centre 2 minutes to the right. Alykanas is not for party animals but for couples and families who want a relaxing holiday with only a handful of bars and pubs (no clubbers here). Restraunts are plentiful and very reasonably priced with extremely good looking staff (must be all that olive oil)!!
This year I am off to Corfu because I love the Greek way of life and the people are pleasant but not over friendly so you get privacy too. I just hate that built up vision of a holiday resort tall buildings that look like multi storey houses with sunshine that’s why I do not go to Spain ( much to my dismay I think it is the worst thing in the world). Everything on the Greek Islands is flat and low down so no big ugly buildings blocking out the sun!! Happy Holidays everyone!!

Had a two bed apartment for just myself and my husband (all that was left as time of booking) and was a great space for the small amount extra. Worth it. Excellent location and ideal resort for couples and families. Everything you need and local supermarket has the works! Fantastic beach, perfect for children with constant shallow water for a long way out. Tried Romanza resturant as recommended but not happy with meal. We were with other family who stayed at a nearby hotel and some were disatisfied with meals although I was not. Learned that owner had bought another resturant and seemed to consentrate on that one. All other resturants were 10/10 for everyone. Highly recommend resturant at the riverside and the Lemon Tree via horse and cart. Apartment very basic but clean and well attended. Hired fan for 10 EURO - great value for money and much needed! Very basic equipment in kitchen and no hook for shower arm and no screen/curtain! Also temp had a mind of it's own if showering at peak times. Still worth booking as location is second to none and relaxing was easily done away from busy hotels. Recommend Cuba bar for value and helpfulness for taxi's etc. 85 percent of resturants and bars had playgrounds/equipment for kids. Very very friendly resort in all. Waterpark not far!
