We have just had an extremely enjoyable visit to the Blakeney. The food was exceptional with a varied menu. Anyone who likes good food will enjoy the high quality meals. Tom and Janice can be very proud of their staff. All are helpful and friendly. With a bus stop nearby, York City and the Yorkshire coast are easily reached.

We booked as b and b, but decided to savour the restaurant in the evening, I can only say the food was out of this world, The staff were superb and so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, must mention the owners, couldn't do enough for you, it really is home from home... more

What a great place, Food was great as were the owners and staff, nothing was to much trouble for them, its a wolf in sheeps clothing, it has 2 **, it should be 4**.Even the chef Dan popped out to say hi, york it self is stunning, its very english, spotless, with loads to do and see,i highly recomend york & the blakeny hotel

Everyone at this hotel could not be more helpful.
The food was delicious and rivals anything I have
eaten at a restaurant.
Even though there was building work going on, the
staff were on top of the cleaning, keeping the
mess to a minimum.
A pleasure to visit and I would recommend this
to my friends.

This is an excellent small and spotlessly clean hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Although it's about 25 minutes walk into York there is a bus stop almost outside with a frequent service on the "coastliner" route. Breakfast is very tasty with plenty choice -... more
