Fantastic

We stayed at the Maxwell for two weeks and it was fantastic. We were first at the Keskin Apartments, but we had too change hotels due too complications with the room. We paid 350 pound due too Thomas Cooks incompotence, and was moved too the Maxwell, and was delighted with it. Clean and tidy rooms, pool was lovely and the bar staff were very friendly and easy too talk too. Air con was a bit pricy, but its worth the price you pay. Would recomend it too anyone who wants a brilliant self catering and cheap holiday

just got back from the maxwell holiday club on 17/08/2010.spent two weeks here with my family[4 adults,50,49,18&18.after reading some of the reports before we went i was a bit concerned.we arrived at 5,oclock in the morning and got the dreaded attic room in the main block, room 302.you would struggle to sleep 3 people in there never mind 4.went sraight down to reception and was told to come back at 10,oclock and it would be sorted.went down as asked and everything was sorted by a new receptonist.moved to room 203 which was a cracking room looking over the pool.think the problem lies with early morning arrivals is the receptionist on nights is clueless, but a nice chap.
unpacked then went down to sort air-con & tv out.
air-con is £84 for 2 weeks only in the bedroom but we left the bedroom door open and it soon chilled the other room.air-con is a must as temps in marmaris got up to 57 degrees.tv was £15 for 2 weeks.this was great value for money as you got bbc1 itv 1,2,3&4.2 cartoon channels,e4,sky sports 1,2.plus any football games that was being showed in the bar, plus movie channels and other channels.the maids called everyday but couldnt get in half the time as the lads were still in bed.but always got clean bedding and towels regular.the wife and i spent most of the time on the beach, but the lads ate at the hotel everyday when they got up and said the food was good.the beach is 5min away, out of main entrance turn left, left again then straight on.once on the beach many places charge for sunbeds.the worst one was aysha bar.2 sunbeds and 2 bottles of water 16 lira, about £7.look for salt n pepa club to the right of aysha and the sunbeds are free but you have to buy there food n drink.nightlife is all situated on the beach front, cant complain about any meals we had on the beach front, theres to many of them to mention.
the v.i.p bar on the front was the best place to start the night of,buy any drink and get another free, from 6,30-9,30.then just wander round as there are offers going on everywhere.the clubs the lads used regular was the vip and the turtle bar as these had foam parties at about 4am.bit to late for me and the wife.
just before you get to the beach front to the right is yes sir,a chinese eat as much as you like for about £6.this was a brill meal, there is also one to the left but not as good.the lads tried mcdonalds a couple of times but said it was crap.the turkish version of mcdonalds,[mcmundru]just before beach front was brill, kebabs on a skewer was to die for,we also had a takeaway from there, and its dirt cheap.
at the hotel your not allowed to take your own food or drink around the pool.there are five blocks to this hotel but only main one has a lift,as this is the biggest block.after reading some of the reviews of what people have said about this hotel, they should just stick to holidaying in england, some people must go out of there way just to winge, moan, and complain, all so they can try and get some compo when they get back.for what you pay for this hotel,it is a cracking place for your base.this is our 6th visit to marmaris, and going back next year.dearest pint we got was about £1.80.cheapest,£1.20.most we paid for a meal for 4 with drinks was about £40.p.s.take your own food to dalaman airport very expensive.burger £10.kfc bargain bucket £30.
had a great time.kevin,elaine,frazer& sam.from church-accrington.lancs

I went to the maxwell in 2007 with my parents and back then couldn't fault it. i returned this year with my boyfriend.. and after reading the reviews on here saying how much it had gone down hill, i was dreading it to say the least. according to some of these reviews you would think that the maxwell is some sort of hell hole! but again i couldnt fault it. the rooms were cleaned daily and bedding and towels changed every other day, the staff at the pool bar were friendly and a good laugh. my only fault with the maxwell is the fact we had to pay 84 english pounds for two weeks air conditioning which used up our money we had for back up. other than the costly air con me and my boyfriend would definitely go back again as it was simple but a lovely place!

As ı sıt ın the receptıon of the Maxwell Hotel sweatıng wıth the mıssıng aır con ı wrıte thıs holıday from hell pıece. We arrıved nearly 2 weeks ago to the Bankok Hotel to fınd our ground floor xplay area room we fınd COCKROACHES!!!! electrıcal wıres hangıng out of our walls the 2 balaconıes over lookıng the adjecıant buıldıng and the jaquzzı.Wıth the walk way used for the kıtchen staff and anyone else wanderıng the block. The food was adeqequate wen ıt fınally arrıved as ıt took numerous attempts for the bar staff to understand our requests. As the tab was forced upon us as a easıer way toı pay there were frequent extras added on to ıncrease thıs by as much as 30 lıra.The bar staff were VERY rude and extremely sexual towards me and my wıfe wen complaınıng the so called management gave them a sort of tellıng off!!!. The pool sunloungers were worse than sardınes ın a tın.They put as many loungers together as they could fıt and the other guests would move throw or even hıde guests towels just to grab the best beds for the nxt day. The pool was ınadequatly cleaned only 2 tımes ın the second week resultıng ın ear ınfectıons for both my sons and my nephew plus numerous other kıds too!! they charged us 43 a week just for the aırcondıtıonıng!! and were very unfrıendly throught our stay.We have only 2 days left ın thıs hell hole and cannont waıt for the bus to take us toı dalaman aırport roll on Manchester raınny weather. We have been here a few tımes only usıng a prıvate vılla and the thought of comıng back SLUMING IT here ıs so far from our mınds. If u want a Mararıs holıday go to the Kamelya Vılla Aprt ıt wıll be found on google no doubt much better treatment and facılıtıes.

myself and my 2 daughters aged 13 & 28,stayed here in june and could not fault the hotel or staff.hotel was clean, rooms done every day.first room we got was small but clean, shower broke 3 days later, was given alternative room within 12 hours.the only complaint we had was one of the guest families, the type that make you ashamed to be british.shaved head, tatoos and got kick out of bullying staff, complaining about everything and letting their kids run wild.even tried to put guests off the turkish night. [which is absolutely brilliant].we read reviews before we went and did wonder what to expect but had brilliant holiday and have booked here for next year, thanks ossy lucas oss and the other staff for great holiday.never been to hotel before where maids make towels into swans on ure bed then give you hugs when u leave.would recomend this hotel.

Just come back from Maxwell hoilday Apartments and we had a great time, was very worried about going to Maxwell as the reviews were all rubbish but we had a great time.Rooms were ok and cleaned every day , sheets changed every other day same with the towels, the maids even arranged our towels with flowers on our beds. All the staff were very helpful and very friendly.Beach and shops not to far.Found a lovely restaurant called Raindrop food excellent and ver cheap.Just a taxi ride away (8Lira cost) was Kipa(Tescos) very cheap and heplful there. All in all very good hoilday. One thing i will add is dont listen or read what other people write go and make up your own minds.A very satisfied customer !!!!

Well what can i say, we went to maxwell appartments last year for 2 weeks it were brill, so we booked to return last month august 09 what a mistake all our friendly faces had gone, certain bar staff were very slimy and even proposed to my 13year old daughter!!!!! well our accomadation a 2bed appartment with sleeping facilities in living area their were 5 off us 2 girls a boy and me and my husband obviously the children had bedrooms and me and my husband were left to sleep on a single matress!! not good enough in our view, balcony door and toilet doors would not lock i have walking dificulties we were put on top floor no lift!!! all doors hanging off hindges leacking kettle knackered air con, we complained on the mon got their late sun!! we got told we be moved we waited unfortunately i was rushed into hospital and they brushed it off, i ended up in hospital for 2 nights and 4days not fun, eventually friday came and i went to reception and re complained they offered us a new appartment in new build top floor but wanted more money we refused and eventually got another one ground floor thankgod, the pool was dangerous both my daughters cut hands on the steps to the pool, our first appartment looked as if never been cleaned it was just disgusting will never go again, but will always travel thomas cook they were fab and the rep was brilliant, just a shame on the accomadation and staff as the staff were pig ignorant absolutely hated it,

The Maxwell is an amazing hotel, it's clean and tidy and the staff are great. The rooms were cleaned, swept and mopped everyday and the sheets and bins were also change every day.
The reviews about this hotel were not very good but on arrival they were totally dismissed.
I would recomend this hotel to anyone.

We have just come back after one weeks stay at the Maxwell and to be honest we were a little dubious after all the reviews we had read on this site BUT I can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our party consisted of myself(Mom) and my 2 daughters. We had never been to Turkey before and from the moment we arrived at the Maxwell we were made to feel very welcome. The man on reception introduced himself to us as Salami but people call me sausage!! We got our room B3 lower floor looking out to the pool. The room was clean must admit we had a couple of creepy crawlies but we were in Turkey and i think this comes with the territory. Ozzy Jake Ilhan Lucas Imran and Bilel were absolutley brilliant so entertaining and considerate they definately made our holiday. My youngest daughter 11 years old got on so well with them all and they were very caring and helpful. We would 100% go back there next year Brilliant entertainment really good location. It is not the Ritz but you get what you pay for and I never felt uneasy all the time we were there at all. Our first trip to Turkey and not one thing to complain about.
