Just returned from the Efendi after our seventh visit. The
hotel is still excellent, management and staff very friendly and rooms are kept very clean. Food in the Heaven Bar and
in the Maestro Restaurant excellent and good value for money with the 15% off meals in the Maestro Restaurant to guests. All in all a perfect hotel.

It was a lovely small hotel with 31 rooms, no lift so you need to be able to walk a couple of flights of stairs if you are on the top floor. The beach is only 50m away and there is a lovely promenade with no traffic. The room was big enough and spotless. The air... more

This is a great little hotel in a very good location 1 min from beach. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place Icemeler is the spot. Small enough to not be overwhelmed by tourists as is the case in nearby Marmaris. We ate most nights in the attached Maestro restaurant... more

This was a fantastic hotel the staff were so helpful, the maids were great they kept the room so tidy and clean, and the man on the desk was so helpful. It was great I would say it was one of the best hotels my wife and me have stayed in, in the 7 years we have been going to Turkey. Once again this hotel cant be beat.

We had a fantastic time at the Efendi. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff there. We were delayed on arrival and hadn’t been allocated the right amount of beds but that was corrected immediately. The staff were all delightful and made us all feel so... more

Poor
A rating of two is being generous. My wife and I went to Icmeler and stayed at the Hotel Efendi and it seems our experience was similar to those we have subsequently read on other websites. We paid extra for a room with a sea view and were informed on arrival that this was not available as other people had decided to stay on longer than they planned. In reality I'm 99% sure he was keeping the better rooms for people he knew, however there wasn't much we could do about it especially as our tour operator didn't seem to care (advised we should fill in a form when we got home but of course it was too late by then). On the first day we reported a problem with the air conditioning which was fixed the same day so the service in that respect was good. Overall however the staff could have been friendlier with the exception of the service from the pool bar which was very good (although it has to be said that the opening hours, the bar itself and the range of food and drinks were poor). My main concern, however had to be the pool. It was extremely dirty and even had scum gathered round the edges which was not nice. It also left a metallic tang if you were unfortunate enough to get any in your mouth (unavoidable if you put your head under water right enough). Having said that the hotel was central and the food in the restaurant was good, however you can eat anywhere so I wouldn't chose a hotel based on their restaurant. Maybe I'm being too harsh but with the mix up with the rooms and the very poor pool (which was pretty much unsafe to use and I since heard that 3 people got ear infections whilst staying at the Efendi) I think you could find better. I'm fairly easy to please (especially on holiday) and this is the only negative review I've written out of several. I'm sorry to say but I wouldn't stay there again.
