Just returned from the Efendi after our seventh visit. The
hotel is still excellent, management and staff very friendly and rooms are kept very clean. Food in the Heaven Bar and
in the Maestro Restaurant excellent and good value for money with the 15% off meals in the Maestro Restaurant to guests. All in all a perfect hotel.

It was a lovely small hotel with 31 rooms, no lift so you need to be able to walk a couple of flights of stairs if you are on the top floor.
The beach is only 50m away and there is a lovely promenade with no traffic.
The room was big enough and spotless. The air conditioning unit was a blessing in the 40C heat. The room was cleaned every day and although we only stayed a week, the towels and sheets were changed 3 times.
The food was typical Turkish and was of good quality.
The staff were very friendly and accomodating, especially Hussein.
Try and learn a bit of Turkish before you go and it will make all the difference to your stay.
We would definitely recommend the hotel.

stayed at efendi just for 4 nights, what a brilliant little hotel balcony overlooked main street, a quite noisy till 12 then silence, i did 2 boat tours off mr tom on front all day from 8.45 till 7.45 a bargain food all in just pay for drinks, well worth going on just a bit tired at the end but lets you see all the coast and sample mud bath, try it. i travel alone and i am 60 , and i felt very safe, as every one is so friendly, all in all ive had a wonderfull short break and would definatly go back to efendi.

we were very nervous about booking because we had heard good and bad things about turkey but it turned out to be the best holiday we have ever had the hotel was fantastic and the staff just blew us away with their friendlines and helpfulness they just couldn't do enough for you,
it wads so good we have booked to go back in september this year and can hardly wait.

This is a great little hotel in a very good location 1 min from beach. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place Icemeler is the spot. Small enough to not be overwhelmed by tourists as is the case in nearby Marmaris.
We ate most nights in the attached Maestro restaurant but were under no pressure to do so. The food and the service was the best and the fact that hotel guests receive a 15% discount make it a no brainer.
The hotel is clean and rooms cleaned everyday. The attached Heaven bar has to stop music at midnight as all bars in Icemeler must do which makes it great if you need to get to sleep.
Sunbeds on beach cost 5 lira but some parts of the beach have free sunbeds if you buy a drink.
All in all, this is a great place for a relaxing holiday with the many trips extremely cheap.

we first stayed in icmeler 5 years ago after a friend recommended this fabulous resort to us. we stayed in the efendi hotel, but the following years stayed in the kontes beach;sister hotel to the efendi, because of it's spectacular views from the balcony. . . oh, and the price; 35 pounds each for the week (booked through sunshine holidays, or travel republic), bed and breakfast! can you do better than that!
previously we have never returned to any holiday destination more than once, but icmeler has us under it's spell, so much so that in june 2006 we got married there! and the friends we made at the efendi and kontes came to the wedding! what can i say about these lovely people;they are unique, you will fall in love with them. . . i don't know how to sell it to you, apart from please, please try this place, you will never regret it.
the staff are fantastic, they make you feel so special, and whenever we return they make such a fuss of us. . . it's like returning to see long lost friends; the only time i've shed tears on leaving a country, and i'm a scorpio so, if you know anything about star signs, you'll realise how special this place is.
i have instructed my husband, that when i die i want my ashes to be scattered there, that's how strongly i feel.
we're taking our daughter and her friend to icmeler in may 2009, just hope she falls in love with freddie and settles down, then i've got an excuse to visit more than once a year!
are you convinced yet? i do hope so, i really want everyone to experience icmeler/the kontes and the efendi/freddie/mehmet/nuri/sercon/ercon/sergant/ergant etc etc at least once in their life. . . it's almost as good as new york! sending our love to all of you at the kontes & efendi and see you in may. jeanette and graeme xxx

This was our 13th year in Icmelar 2nd year at Hotel Efendi.
My wife and I have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Hotel Efindi. Met really nice people and enjoyed everything about the holiday. The reception staff really helpful and the Mastro restaurant excellent value. Only complaint would be the size of the pool although beach is only a walking distance away.
Memit and Freddie really are exceptionally nice people.
Rooms kept clean and bed linen changed every second day.
Hope to return next year with our family.

My husband and I have stayed at the Efendi Hotel for many many years and know all the staff both old and new as great friends. It is a small very family run hotel with great atmosphere. The rooms have been refurbished and are always exceptionally clean and tidy with fresh linen every other day and towels as required. Esme the main cleaner and her husband look after all your cleaning and repairs and with even do your laundry for you. The reception staff even though old faithful George was not there this year cannot do enough for you and the Heaven bar waiters are just great. Granted the pool is small but when Sakine was running it, all your needs were attended to. She has since had to leave so we now go only to the beach as the service is just not the same!
We feel like family every time we return = can't wait for September 2008.

Just back from our third time at the hotel Efendi. The hotel was once again excellent.
Memet, Sergen, Ferat and all the bar staff in the Heaven bar gave great service and kept us entertained for the fortnight. The food in the Maestro resturant was excellent as always and well run by Noree.
Very impressed with the refurbishment of the bedroms which were kept spotlessly clean.
All in all a first class hotel.

This was a fantastic hotel the staff were so helpful, the maids were great they kept the room so tidy and clean, and the man on the desk was so helpful. It was great I would say it was one of the best hotels my wife and me have stayed in, in the 7 years we have been going to Turkey. Once again this hotel cant be beat.

First time in Turkey but not the last. Stayed for 14 nights at the Efendi. Top quality hotel with top quality staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Room was spotless and sheets changed every 3 days. The Maestro restaurant provided a very high standard of food and service. Tried elsewhere but food not up to the same standard so returned most nights.
Heaven Bar is the place to go if you want to have an enjoyable evening. No planned entertainment except for karaoke but the waiters provide the laughs with their antics.
Overall an excellent 14 nights. Will return to this hotel again and highly recommend it.

We had a fantastic time at the Efendi. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff there.
We were delayed on arrival and hadn’t been allocated the right amount of beds but that was corrected immediately. The staff were all delightful and made us all feel so important and special.
The pool was small but this only added to the family atmosphere of the Efendi. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool and my 2 children spent a lot of their time there. We met lots of new people there, at the pool, and because it was so small, it helped us all to chat more.
Breakfast was traditional Turkish breakfast which I enjoyed, the kids weren’t too keen, but we bought a box of cereal which the hotel were happy to do.
Because it was so hot, the receptionist told us we could buy water and he would put it in the freezer for us nightly for the following day, he was so helpful!
I have absolutely no derogatory comments to make on this holiday/hotel, everything was as it said on the tin. We will definitely be going back there.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this a fantastic holiday!
