My wife and I stayed in his god forsaken place for 2 weeks of hell. We are not your usual complainers but feel we are prompted to warn others NOT TO BOOK.
1, Staff need to take happy pills
2, Although all inclusive we couldn't bring ourslves to eat the food
3, Could not flush toilet (used waste bin to flush it)
4, lifts didn't work
5, disabled guests beware as you can be put on top floor with no lifts and have to be carried down by your family as a couple of guests soon found out
6, loose carpet on stairs (one lady fell and hurt her back)
7, wet floors (another victum fell whilst we were there) be warned prehaps staff should give out crash helmets as you check in.
8, rotten woodwork in poor quality rooms where cockroach's were rife.
9, not enough sun beds although probabably a good thing so you can have abreak from FAULTY TOWERS.
So in summery book at your peril.
Would have given it 0/10 but didn't have a button for that!!

Submitted By: Mrs E C BellHowever, friends were put in absolutely tiny room but when they saw ours they complained and were moved to another, so beware if you get put in a small room...there are better!
Food was basic, pretty much the same sort of stuff everyday but they were always feeding you and it was nice enough food.
Great place to be, 2 minutes walk from beach. Sun beds at the beach are about 2.50 lire but you can easily get them down to 4 for 6-8 lire.
Pools were nice, one indoor, two outdoor. None got packed which was nice.
Bar was great, waiters were lovely. Only allowed to get two drinks per time, but that's understandable.
As mentioned by other people, drinks card are taken off you at 12 on the day leaving. As our plane journey wasn’t until 10pm and we had to vacate our room at 12 noon, they let us have a room for an hour at tea time for a shower and whatever.
Bars were great, at first we were put off by what seemed pervy waiters/over friendly shopkeepers but soon enough you'll learn that a polite hi/bye & no thanks means they leave you alone.
Only problem with Icmeler is the nightlife ends at 12, bars have to turn off music then to stop problems with locals... you can stay later, but it's not the same.
There are some clubs which offer a free coach service to marmaris on a night if you go there club and a coach back all for free, sounded good but we never went.
One thing I DO NOT recommend - the night boat trip. CRAP. Drinks are expensive and it goes about 2 miles an hour. Same views all the way.
However, the day boat trip was great! 8 different places to stop and paddle, sea was gorgeous! Food was nice too.
Overall this was one of the best holidays I’ve ever been on, bars were nice, and hotel was lovely! Very cheap as well.

Submitted By: Miss SJL CannonWe arrived early hours in the morning to be told that they hadn’t the room for us! By this point I was so upset and the manager was laughing at me - most of the staff were very rude!
The food was horrid and cold! The queue to the bar was extremely long and rooms were tiny and disgusting!! The shower flooded! The air conditioner was not on the wall properly and the water was either cold or orange!
But we had to make the best out of a bad situation. Holiday was lovely overall, apart from staying at the Mersoy hotel! We do not recommend this unless you want to spend a two week holiday in havoc and hell!

Submitted By: Miss Terrie MaddisonIt was a disaster!!
When we arrived at Dalaman airport, Goldtrail (tour operator) said that we only had transfers to Icmeler and not to any particular hotel. They thought it was acceptable for us to walk around looking for a taxi to take us to our hotel, with 2 suitcases in tow!?
We eventually got to the hotel only to be told that the hotel didn’t have any confirmation of our 2 week all inclusive stay with them!
We arrived at the hotel at 9am local time (they are 2 hours in front) and bookable didn’t open their office for another 2hours back in the UK. The hotel staff didn’t offer us a drink, any food or a courtesy room until this was resolved!! Instead we were made to wait in reception (which has no air conditioning) until we could call the company we booked through and ask them to fax through confirmation.
The staff on reception were unsympathetic to our situation and wouldn’t even allow us to call bookable holidays from their telephone.
After the 2 hour wait and £45 mobile phone bill, bookable faxed through confirmation of our stay.
Without an apology we were lead to the smallest room which had 3 single beds crammed into it... We couldn’t even fit our suitcases in!! The bathroom was riddled with damp and there was black fungus and mould all around the bathroom (which stunk).
I requested a change of room as we had been assured when we booked the holiday that the hotel was 4*.
The hotel comprises of 3 buildings - One of which is a 4* and the other two rated as 3*. We had apparently been booked into the 3*. I have stayed in 2* accommodation in Benidorm which was 30 times higher standard than the MERSOY!! Very poor quality.
So they asked us to wait in reception whilst they suggested trying to clean the bathroom! Surely this should of been done already?
We sat and waited in reception until 1pm that day (still with no offer of food or drink) until they gave us a room which wasn’t really any better. We accepted purely so we could catch up on some sleep and unpack our bags.
The resort of Icmeler was beautiful and the locals from the bars and restaurants were really welcoming and pleasant to be around.
The staff from the hotel kitchen, restaurant, and bar work really hard and always have a smile on their face.
The pool area was really good with sunbeds, mattresses and lilo's FOC.
The food wasn’t bad. Pretty simple, salads, chips, rice, pasta, and chicken. My partner is very picky and he ate it without any fuss.
The weather was great, sunny, and hot everyday!
To top our holiday off the transfer didn’t turn up to pick us up on our day of departure!! We had to pay £60 for a taxi to the airport.
Icmeler is a great place just choose a different hotel and make sure you travel with a well known company.

Submitted By: Mr SA BROOKSYou are lucky if the water is hot for a shower we had three hot showers only in the week, the last day the water went off completely and when it came back on it was orange. The toilet wouldn't flush properly I had to put my hand in the cistern to balance the ballcock every time.
The room was clean but very basic and the furniture in the room old and a horrible blue colour. We were in a room above the reception and overlooking the road of which the traffic starts from 6am, dustbin lorry/road cleaner every morning and could hear the local mosque at 5am by the way the music in Icmeler stops at 12pm so approx 5hrs sleep a night assuming your in bed for 12 that is.
Food AWFUL mainly salads, bread that was stale and what hot meals they had were served cold even if you went for one right on meal start time, everything is buffet even have to get your own drinks to have with your meal!!
Staff were demoralised obviously down to the amount of complaints. Tip boxes were positioned at bar, reception, restaurant and even were the hot (cold meals) were served from for the kitchen staff. I didn't see anyone putting in, I have a tip for them SMILE!!!!!
All in all the Mersoy is very poor for a supposedly 3star hotel, I would rate it more a 2star we ended up eating out most nights as there is lots of choice in Icmeler for food, in fact the hotel has such a reputation for its food the locals describe it as HOSPITAL FOOD.
Icmeler is a lovely resort, the people are great, the TITANIC restaurant does great food just down the road from the dreaded Mersoy, we would go back but NOT to the MERSOY ever!!!!!!

Submitted By: Mr D PeggThe hotel exclusive was booked by us and we arrived at 4am in the morning, to find we had no rooms allocated for our party, we had booked four rooms.
We were shown other accommodation of a sub standard nature and eventually had to stay at another hotel for one night.
After 5 nights we eventually got what we had paid for 4 rooms in the hotel Mersoy exclusive beware you have been warned this hotel overbooks.
The rooms when we eventually got them were of a very pleasant size good showers and clean. Staff at the hotel friendly.
Food repetitive but okay.
All in all a good hotel spoilt by the first 5 days.

Submitted By: Mrs A BishopI have visited Icmeler several times before, so it is a place I love. But my experience on this occasion has put me off slightly. I was travelling alone, therefore, I felt even more stressed with the situation. On arriving at the hotel I was informed that there was no room available for me & was put me up at a nearby hotel, they said for one night. This hotel was clean but it was only a 2star! I could use the facilities at the Mersoy but it meant walking up & down the streets.
Don't get me wrong, the facilities are on the whole good, with friendly staff. Many people complain about the food, but it is as good as all the other 3star hotels I have stayed in Turkey. I always found plenty that I liked to eat. They were even catering for the children, having very nice chunky chips & create your own beef burgers (something I've not seen at other hotels).
My one night in the alternative hotel turned into 3 nights with me arguing with the reception staff daily (although not their fault) and me not unpacking my suitcase. When speaking to other guests it appeared that most of them had had some problems with their rooms. Some like me were offered the alternative hotel. Some arrived to find only 2 beds when there were 3 of them. A lot of guests had booked the more expensive Mersoy Exclusive & had to spend the night in the main Mersoy hotel. This is what probably began the problems-OVERBOOKING! The manager accepting bookings & then palming people off into alternative, cheaper hotels. Not very good practice for a reputable hotel.
Good luck if you've booked this hotel, I hope you have a room there!

Submitted By: Mrs B BennettEveryone was having stomach cramps and diarrhoea, bar staff were miserable and never smiled once and they take your all inclusive card away from you at midday on the day you're leaving even if you're there for another 12 hours, like us!
If you want a holiday from hell then book this hotel, we are currently trying to get compensation so watch this space!

Submitted By: Mr P RowlandsThe food was very basic there would not class it as a 2 star , I have been back 4 days and still ill plus the 2 days I was ill out there for, I can only assume through the food. The salad was in the so called restaurant in side without air con and it wasn’t washed that good. If it was most probs in their water [that’s why am most probs ill] and your mid day meal was very basic with chips and a bit of meat or chicken and very poor at that, afternoon tea was coffee and biscuits, and a small bit of pizza if you was lucky.
Some days the main meal was not much better, out of about 10 meals we had 3 was ok, plus there was no indoor place to eat you sit outside on basic chairs and tables as you did most of the day cos there was about 40 sunbeds for about 300 guests that’s if all the three hotels that share everything are fully booked.
As for the pool area a very dangerous place there are no anti slip tiles as I and a few other people found out.
The only thing I will say is we had a nice room and the maids kept the rooms tidy, who we tipped.
My advice is to stay in the Exclusive with room only, don’t eat the food, don’t use the pool area and while we was there most people where complaining about it ,so this is not just 1 incident.

Submitted By: Mr Lj JonesThe beach, bars and shops are located a few min's from the hotel.
How ever, the exclusive hotel is rated as an four star hotel and the Mersoy a three star.
The food is very basic, and is rated as 2 star (if that), the breakfast is the same everyday which is just salad, eggs, scrambled eggs, bread with little tubs of (melted butter and liquid jam) there is also coffee or tea to choose from.
The salad is washed in the tap water as I have been bard for two days after eating the salad.
At 12:30 is dinner time which is chips (every day) often reheated, and maybe a burger and a few vegetables to choose from, there will also be a soup which is often has no taste and the salad to choose from and bread (with no butter or jam).
After dinner time is served there will be no snacks available until 4:30 other than ice’ creams which you can buy from the bar which is expensive compared to the shops that are local.
At snack time which is 4:30pm you will have biscuits and coffee and also twice a week a pizza with onions and cheese for toppings to choose from.
At 7:30 is evening meals which will be potatoes wedges a few vegetables and chewy chicken and sometimes chewy lamb. The main course for one night of the week was chicken kebab meat stir fried with vegetables.
There is no indoor restaurant as advertised and the food is false advertised also.
It is dangerous to walk with food in your hands as you slip and fall over due to the eating area located next to the pool which is very slippery surface.
There is only about 75 sun beds to choose from for 400 guests and you will need to get up at 7:30 to get them if not tough luck.
If you don’t have any sun beds you will always have the table and chairs to try and sun brave on which is very uncomfortable.
The reception workers are polite and can speak English, but once there is a problem you will find it hard for it to get fixed or will at least have to try and sort it your self.
Guest's who arrived at the hotel where stuck in the lobby from 7:30am until 12:00pm local time as they had no rooms to go in!
The sitting areas have no air-conditioning only the bed-rooms do.
So the only option to cool down would be to go inside the small packed pools or go inside you bed-rooms or of course the beach.
The hotel and bed rooms where kept clean, so if you only won’t a place to sleep its no problem, but to eat there I highly recommend you eat out.

Overall we all had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to go back again.
