let me be absolutely honest. it is a nice hotel clean and well presented. the downside is they have a receptionist who is adamant on ripping people off and she have a double standard pricing policy. first of all she charged us 15 euros for a fridge which was actually in the room!! already plugged in and working even though i had already paid for this at the time i had booked.other guests who were boooked as the same board as us [ bed n breakfast did not have to pay ] secondly she charged us 40 euros for an extended room as we had an overnight flight and charged other people 30 euros which i found absolutely disgusting thing to do. the receptionist will do anything to con money out of you.....you have been warned.

I went with just one of my friends to this hotel for a week for the clubbing and drinking experience of laganas the hotel was a perfect distance away from the strip; about 5 minute walk through a country side. The bar staff were lovely especially Zoe! The pool area and pool were clean and had enough sun beds for everyone.
We never woke up in time for breakfast so i cant comment on that but the pool bar served nice recovery food.
On friday there is a BBQ night which was a laugh buy one get one free drinks all night
also we found this bar was the only bar we went to that didnt water down their drinks and happy hour every night to kick the night off.
The owners helped us out so much on our last day as all taxis were cancelled they drove us to the airport and rescued us from missing our flight
Go to this hotel.

me and my family stayed here last year and are going back again july. They are popular with familys and couples going back year after year , dont stay here if you want to party 24 - 7 its just not that type of hotel. They have 2 room types apartments and hotel room , if you book an apartment you get the kitcen and fridge if you book the hotel room you have to pay for the fridge like you do in any hotel, because the apartments cost more .this is in a perfect location for everything but the owners dont really like groups staying here its more of a family place or a place for couples who like it quieter.

I stayed in the Pallas in July this year, after reading some of the reviews we were not to sure about it as some really were not good.
We loved it apart from the security man he was weird and not very friendly!
Room was great, I've been to Greece before and had very basic rooms however this had everything we needed.
Did have to pay extra for air con but well worth it could not have gone the holiday without it.
Didnt have loud music in the bar area when we were there was normal and some nights didnt even last until one.
Not far from the beach and great distance from the strip.
Loved it at this hotel and have already booked to go back again next July!!

We stayed here last week of August, first week Sept. 2010.It was lovely and clean, our maid pleasant, changed our sheets and towels regularly. We had a lock on our fridge, which was opened when we paid 30 euros. We had to pay it as you need a fridge with the weather so hot.We were told the air con would cost 50 euros a week.we did not pay for it, we were lucky we overlooked the olive groves,so could leave the doors open, and were unseen. When I talked to other guests, that had paid bed and breakfast, just as we did, some of them were the same as us, paying for fridge, etc.whilst others had a kitchen, with full size fridge, cooking rings, dishes, all they needed, and never paid a penny extra. They couldnt believe that we had to pay. What is this all about? We spent as little as possible in their hotel, preferring to give our money to someone else. They also had the dearest lager at 4 euros a pint. What a rip off, lets have everyone treated the same. Breakfast was a joke, we had stale bread to make our own toast, jam, cheap conflakes, the croissants we only saw twice, they didnt appear again. Orange juice that tasted like squash,,and tea.If you are staying here, check what room you have.It seemed that the rooms with kitchens were located over the pool.We asked for one of these and were told none available, though we knew there were empty rooms as other guests told us.Enjoy your holiday, but dont let these people rip you off.

I have just returned from a week in Zante with my friend. We stayed at the Hotel Pallas in Laganas which we was told was a 3 star, family resort and would therefore be quiet and relaxing. How wrong was this! We were kept awake every night by groups of 18 year olds who shouted, argued and played their music full blast at 4.30am in the morning. Simiarly they did this round the pool and we felt very uncomfortable. We was recommended this hotel by a travel agent because we wanted somewhere that was not full of drunken teenagers.
There is no way the Hotel Pallas is 3 star. Breakfast consisted of stale bread which you could toast or stale cereal. That was it. We had paid extra money to go B&B and we ended up eating elsewhere for the entire week! The hotel did not clean our room until the 5th day and we had to ask for clean towels on this day!! Overall we have paid £450 each for this holiday and feel we have completely wasted our money. The staff at the hotel were useless and we reported our bathroom light not working 3 times, yet still no-one fixed it. We ended up showering in the dark every night.
The security at Hotel Pallas is appaling. We were told our keys would be kepy safely behind reception because it is manned 24/7. No it is not. Every time we came home from the day out there was noone behind the desk so we went behind to collect our own key!! We could have taken anybodies and similarly anybody could have taken ours!
The walk to the strip isnt far but it is pitch black with mopeds and quad bikes racing along.
We had a nice holiday when we was away from the hotel but we would definately never stay here agin!!!

I stayed at Pallas as a group of 12, 18 year old girls. Before i went i was getting quite worried as there were so many bad reviews about Pallas hotel and after staying there i cannot understand how anyone could leave bad reviews! The family who run the hotel were absoultely lovely and would always help us with anything we needed. The hotel is well looked after and very clean. There is a security guard person who tells you to be quiet at night but he did not mind you coming in anytime in the early morning, just said go to go to your rooms which you can udnerstand as there are other guests there too! The website says this is not really suitable for teenagers and young people but when we were there it was mainly young people. It is about 10 minutes walk from the laganas strip and is in a very good location as you can come back and actually get some sleep where as many hotels down the strip, i would of hated to stay in them!. Breakfast was dissapointing and we didnt bother to get up for it after the first day. But overall I would definitely go back again, absoultely loved it and would defintely reccoment going back and strongly advise people to ignore the bad reviews and i don't think you could get a better hotel in Laganas. If you treat the staff politely and you're friedly towards them then they will treat you with kindness:)We booked with Thomas Cook and the rep tried to sell us this 'Block' thing, which was about 165 euros each, we decided against it after him tryin very hard to persuade us. Turns out it was a good decision, pepole from our hotel had deecided to go on the Block thing and got back before we had even gone out. We also met people out who ahd done it and said it was a complete waste of money, so dont be fooled.

The Hotel Pallas is a lovely place to stay, very near to the main strip but far enough away that you can sleep if you want to. Came to Laganas with 3 friends and found the staff to be very polite and welcoming, as long as you're polite to them they will make your stay as enjoyable as possible! Room was clean and spacious, paid a little bit for air conditioning but well worth the money. Pool was lovely, easy to get a sunbed by the pool, and the bar does lovely food and drinks at good prices.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone, mainly young people like myself staying at the hotel, but perfectly suitable for families. I would definately stay there again.

pool area is lush !!! they have music but not too loud ! the pool/snackbar is great lovely food !
breakfast is not worth getting up for plus its extremly early !
entertain ment- theres a bbq / greek nigh ( quick tip ) offfer to hand the tickets out and you get it free ,
holiday overall - Holiday was great the rep is amazing he came out with us on the night . he has little night where everyone in the hotel does speed dating just to get to know everyone (great fun)
the hotel is family run so they are very very VERY sly ! they charged us 100£ because there was a chip in the balcony then charged us for a broken hairdryer which we didnt do then kept our passports til we paid ! the holiday over all was great but was ruined by the stress of this hotel i actually got wrong for walking to my friends room about 4 am . and they sent me back this isnt a holiday its a prison ! I stayed here for a week in may 2010, the rooms are kept clean but that's about the only good thing, the hairdryer was broken at both ends and barely worked, the AC didn't work, there was no cloths or washing up liquid no kettle or toaster. but worst of all was the shower which would only work half the time we had to have cold showers on several occasions and the hot tap on the sink didn't work at all. I asked the woman owner about the shower and she kept telling me to let it heat up for an hour! I also asked about washing up liquid and she pretended not to understand me and then started talking about me in Greek to the other staff as soon as I walked off! the English staff behind the bar are very nice and friendly just not the Greek ones. we had to pay 10 euros for a safe which is not to bad but some other people were having to pay another 40 just for a fridge! there are also a lot of animals nearby like cockerels making noise all day and night the this is hardly the hotels fault. I still had a very good holiday and would defiantly recommend laganas for a holiday but just not at the pallas.

me and my best friend stayed here for a week in may 2010, the people there where polite and the english bar staff that worked in the hotel where even nicer. The only two complaints i have is about the breakfast which isnt worth gettin up for and 3 days into the hotel we notcied that the hair dryer was broken. My friend is a holiday rep for 18-30s and she worked in malia in Greece last year, she knows what the hotels are like so wee made sure when we got there that nothing was broken or damaged and it wasnt, but three days later it was?? At the end of the stay she mentioned the hairdryer and we told her it was fixed ( as we had to buy glue from the local shop to fix it). she agreed everything was fine and didnt charge us luckly. apart from that the hotel was lovely and because we went at the start of may it was quite and there was only 10 people including me and my friend in the hotel.. was like havin it all to ourself. one of the best holidays ive eva been on!

Last week we stayed at the Hotel Pallas in Laganas which lied outside Laganas strip and therefore would be quiet and relaxing. Totaly wrong !! The hotel feelded like a former GDR state-hotel. Staff had no idea of running it properly, doiing the best you can to serve the paying guests and avoid any complaints.
Helas, all compains in reviews as far back as 2007 are alive and kicking today. Staff is overwhelming self-sufficient and looking out for every oportunity to ask extra money for any poor 'service'.
We, the guests, were kept awake every night by barking dogs (even the hotels own dog laying on a chain next to the hotel), chickens, crowing roosters at 03.00 and buzzing musquitoes. Shutting the terrase-doors was no option because of the heat in the room. The airco costed extra money and was very noisy and so that was no option as well.
The old mini-TV had only 8 rustling Greek channels wich is very poor regarding exclusively foreign hotel-visitors.
Breakfast was also very poor with only bread, two flavours of jam and the worse crisps ever. By paying an extra € 2,50 !!! you could get an fried egg & bacon .
The diner (served at 20.30) was miserable and minimal. So after tree days we ended up eating elsewhere for the rest of the week!
There was nothing to do. We once had the experience of a bingo and barbeque at the pool, but that was it.
Not even the timetable of the bus was available at the reception nor had the receptionist any idea about stoppingfrequency of the bus to the nearest town.
The pool was the only nice place, but when the special bar-TVs had any footballmatch spotted, then the volume was turned highest level even when only three of all guests in the pool where watching.
We were counting down the hours to be freed to return home.
Working hard to earn ones vacation it is a shame that that a hotel is so arrogant to flush your hopes down the drain and doing that, regarding more than 70% of the reviews, year after year. Criminal.
We would definately never stay here agin!!!
