When we booked to stay at the Pallas hotel our travel agent said it is a good place for a young group of girls looking for a wild holiday to stay. We obviously got lied to, the hotel is very clean however that’s the only good thing I can say about it really, we found staff very rude and unhelpful and got followed around by them constantly, the guard is not very nice at all and one night refused to let me back in the hotel because apparently I didn’t stay there so after much argument I had to go and stay at another hotel that night and when I came back the next morning he smiled and let me in!
The main road from the hotel to the mains strip is shocking it’s like something out a horror movie, a lot of the girls split up at night and it was horrible walking back on your own.
Also noise is a mega issue you can’t even cough after a certain time without getting told off!
All in all if you’re looking for an 18 - 30's holiday DO NOT stay there!

Well where do i start with this hotel... We were a mixed group of 12 staying at the pallas hotel. I felt like i was a prisioner in the hotel everytime we were in the hotel we were followed.
1. You cant get out the pool wet without getting told off. very weird,we got told off as we were wetting the side of the pool???
2. We had to listen to the same CD everyday as they only insisted on playing that one.
3. Very rude staff escpecially the night porter, very two faced too,we would ask a question to find out they would be talking about us in there language.
4. You cant make no noise what so ever.after 6pm
5. Dont ever drop the white ball off the pool table as dimitri would scream blue murder about his precious marble flooring.
6. We had all balls consfiscated from the pool as they were banned to find out the next day other groups were playing with balls. ONE RULE FOR ONE ETC.
7. We had to pay 30 Euro's to keep a room open so all of us could shower before our flight back which was 22 hours after we were origonally kicked out. Also no where to keep luggage.
8. Also our hotel rep wasnt very useful we saw her twice in a two week holiday.
I WOULD RECCOMEND IF YOU WANT A CLUBBING HOLIDAY OR ARE BETWEEN 18-30 GOING TO ZANTE AVOID THE PALLAS HOTEL.

went with a friend of mine for 1wk. We got a really cheap deal flying from Leeds Bradford.
The hotel is amazing. it is lovely & clean & very spacious. We stayed in a twin room with a balcony overlooking the views of the mountains & greenery. It was lovely. The place had a nice feel to it. It wasn't noisey or overcrowded. It was away from the strip which we liked. The most enjoyable place to eat was the resturant up the hill there is a free mini bus that takes u to this resturant with greek traditional dancing & u can have a try at dancing with them. It was good to have a go.
Trips we went on were boat trip of the whole Island (a must if u like jumping off boat & swimming in water). The turtle tour (half day tour). Didn't see one turtle, only one when we boarded the boat. But worthwhile anyway as you can also enjoy swim in sea. We visited the Kefalonia trip, it was worth it, but a very long tiring day. ENJOYED the lake mississorri there. Fab lake with open cave.
Went out of season as it was quieter nightlife for us. The beach is lovely make sure u get a massarge of one of the locals on beach whom come round. It was ace to hear the sea & have a massarge to relax to.
The pallas is the best one I saw in the resort of Laganas. Weather was fantastic.

Been to the Pallas 3 times now. Found it even better than before, they have improved the showers since last time and the new bar is much better than before.
The rooms are a good size , kept clean and tidy and as others have said the pool it bigger than the pictures . The sunbeds are much better than they were. The family are always ready to talk and have a smile and a laugh with everybody. I can only say try it, I'm sure you will go back as I am planning to do in 2009.

Fabulous holiday!
The hotel is family run and kept very clean, you get fresh towels every other day and the maids come in daily. All the staff are very welcoming and helpful.
The hotel is a 5 min walk from the centre and about 10 mins from the beach.
Breakfast is basic, tea/coffee and toast, but we only got up once for it and with beans on toast been as cheap as 2euro we weren't complaining.
The food and drink in the hotel is nice, however there are a lot of nice restaurants 5/10mins walk away.
Blue caves/shipwreck and the waterpark were good days out
We can't wait to go back!!!!

Had read rave reviews about the friendliness of the staff at Pallas Hotel, and so my friend and I were disappointed upon arrival when we were met by an extremely miserable and rude women at reception.. who got the nickname 'hitler' over the duration of the holiday from our crowd!
Staff very unhelpful and curt.. I think If you are young and here for the nightlife, then the Pallas hotel won't like you at all because they think you will cause trouble. Not recommended for big groups of young people I would say.
Hotel room not cleaned that often, beds made once every 3 days. However, the hotel itself is perfectly situated, 10 minute walk to the strip, although you do have to walk down a long road, which in the early hours of the morning can be dark and quiet, with rough dogs!
The pool area fantastic, and the pool bar food not bad. Despite the rude staff and overpriced air conditioning and fridge that you have to pay for on arrival, had a fantastic time in Zante, resort is awesome, definitely would recommend.

We booked the Pallas Hotel bed and breakfast but not sure where the breakfast was! We were offered toasty bread or roll type bread, strawberry jam, some sort of cereal which no one seemed to have again after the first time, tea, coffee and thats it! Also a leaflet on the table telling me how much I could pay for the breakfast I’d already paid for.
The most miserable owners I’ve ever come across, apart from the father, who couldn’t care less about what you wanted on the TV or music in the bar.
After saying that the hotel was clean, and tidy and well maintained. Would I go again? Don’t think so.

This was my first holiday in Zante.
I definitely made the right choice of accomodation by staying at the Pallas Hotel.
A great location, just a 5 minute walk from the busy strip. A very clean hotel throughout.
A relaxed atmosphere around the pool with the staff doing as much as they can to make your holiday one to remember.
Would recommend it to anyone, I will be going back.

The Pallas is described as a family hotel, in the sense that it is run by a family it is, but in July there are big groups of lads and girls, very few families.
Entertainment is cancelled every night as it’s not promoted in the hotel by anyone.
The night time barmen are lazy, slow and make you as welcome as mosquito. Drinks are heavily overpriced compared with anywhere else in town. €6 for a bottle cider!
However the place is very clean, the pool is excellent, and it’s the right distance from the main strip to be accessible as you want it to be.
Would I go back? Yes if they changed all the staff... Except little old Panos who seems to work 25 hrs a day, always smiling.

The hotel is clean and well looked after throughout. I stayed here with my girlfriend at the beginning of September 2008. Most of the guests are couples of varying ages with the odd group of girls or boys. It is situated on a country road leading off from the main Laganas Road. It's not a particularly long walk and it does not feel danagerous walking back in the middle of the night.
Be aware of the 50 Euro / week charge for air-conditioning and the high prices of drinks at the bar. The breakfast provided is only a very basic continental and it didn't seem that many people bothered waking up for it!
Overall, this is a nice and clean hotel with good facilities but it would be greatly improved if the management stopped charging so much for them.
