Reviews of Rodeway Inn Hotel, International Drive, Florida
Rodeway Inn Hotel, International Drive
The warm laid back feeling of the Rodeway Inn contrasts with the hectic pace of International Drive. Take a break from this frantic tempo and relax by the pool to recharge your batteries. Whilst here you must experience a night at the onsite Japanese Steakhouse and see your food cooked right before your eyes. In contrast, there is also a buffet restaurant, which serves all-American breakfasts. If you are looking for a fun filled holiday in affordable surroundings then this could be the place for you. Within walking distance of International Drive's waterpark, Wet `n Wild® and no more than 25 minutes away from all of Orlando's top theme parks.

The Rodeway inn International is in a good location on International Drive for those who don't want to rely on a car. Whilst this end of the drive is slightly shabbier than further south, there is still a selection of good shops and restaurants round about. Otherwise the I-ride or Lynx bus allows people to get further south quickly, conveniently and cheaply.
Another advantage of this hotel is the free shuttle to the Universal parks. This saves worrying about finding a parking space when you arrive. To get to Disney, however, without a car is a bit trickier. The journey can take up to two hours and is slow and monotonous. Howver is you can live with this, the small price should make it ok.
The hotel itself is dated and shabby. this is only to be expected though as the brochures and website gives pretty accurate photos. It is fairly clean, however our room wasn't vaccumed for entire two weeks.
Staff are generally quite friendly. We didn't have too many dealings with them.
On the whole this is a reasonable hotel for those going to I-drive on a budget. Watch what you pay though. We booked at the wrong time with Airtours and paid £800 each for two eeks in June. Two weeks earlier or later in booking and we could have paid £250 less each!
