2 weeks at club aguamarina we were in block b so many bad reviews, but we found no problems apart from hard pillows, we only had 1 each, but the staff replied with 2 new pillows. all staff very friendly espically in the bar. food was excellent with a good variety.yes the plates were whipped off your table very quickly but very polite waitresses. entertainment was ok at times, nice pools but no brollies around the pool. no problem finding beds or relaxing chairs. the resort very quiet, beautiful bay and beach, clean sands.
overall a very relaxing holiday

Well, this was the worst holiday we have ever had, nothing to do with the hotel, that was average, clean and for a 3 star acceptable but nothing to get excited about. Well my wife and 7 year old daughter went on what we knew would be a quiet holiday but far too quiet for us and just didnt suit us, the weather was abysmal with only having 2 decent days and then relentlees thunder and lightning for the rest of the week, we ended up hiring a car and do recomend going to menorcas highest point which is called el torro, easy to find. The beach would have been great had we had the weather but if the weather is bad there is very little to do. As there is not many bars there we were paying between 3.6 and 4.5 euros a pint and an idea on price for lunch is approx £30, that was for 2 beers, toasted sandwich. Kids spag bol and porc chop with chips.
we did try to make the most of it but our flight home couldnt come fast enough, we will definately not be visiting menorca again as it just didnt suit us. I wouldnt recomend menorca as a holiday destination if you have kids, saying that we have travelled the world so have lots of destinations to compare and think we are now officially bored of spain as a whole.
Food was good at hotel although they do whip your plates away quickly.
So dont worry about the hotel and food its fine and got us away for a week :)
In the Ozzy bar about 5 mins walk away they have some good tribute acts on, Robbie Williams was very entertaining.
Goody Goody - the kids play area on the beach front was expensive as daughter kept wanting euro after euro which cost a small fortune.
Spar sold cheapish larger and if you rent a fridge for 26 euro (u get 6 back when you leave) its well worth it.

We stayed at the Aguamarina for 9 nights in september 2008 - had a brilliant time all round. The rooms were very clean although the balcony was covered in sand.
Food was very good - always something you like to eat even for fussy eaters. The staff were always cheerful and helpful.
This was our second visit and it won't be our last - very good value for money, although the drinks at the bar very expensive, but if you do a little wandering and go the Backgammon Bar at Coves Noves, the drinks are much cheaper and it has a nice atmosphere.
Hired a car for all of our holiday and found driving all round the island very easy - it is more or less one straight road with everything off of it, although we did get lost going through Alaior!
This hotel perfect for familys.
While we were there, we had a set of identical twins staying there - ladies in their 50's who dressed top to toe identically - very funny!
Do not worry about going to this hotel - it is lovely.

Just came back from a weeks holiday at this hotel and it was great! We went half board and the food was fantastic. Rooms were nice although there was alot of ants crawling around. The resort it self is really quiet but that suited us.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday yesterday and thought it was a truly fantastic hotel. It's position overlooking the wonderfull bay made it a delight to be staying there. We had read numorous reports about block b and can honestly say these must be very old reports as we could see nothing wrong with it,yes the bedrooms are small but are spotlessly clean and tidy made so by some of the friendliest Spanish cleaning ladys i have ever met.The food was excellent with joints of meat being carved most nights if you want to break the tradition of the usual food served. The entertainment staff really put 110% into everything they do too.All in all a good time was had,so much so that we are in the process of rebooking for next year.

this is our 2nd year running at this hotel and it has definitely improved from last year. reception staff are very helpful. our room was small but spotlessly clean, view could have been better but as we don't spend all day in our rooms it was ok. managed to get sunbeds nearly every day even though we didn't go down til 8.45am. we did actually buy lilos from the shop over the road as there is loads of grass to lie on. food is very good the first week but repetitive the 2nd, try one dish per night as it will all be served again the following week!
we didn't stay in the hotel in the evenings, there are various bars including jambaree in coves noves and the waikiki cocktail bar the other way. quite expensive for cocktails but definitely worth it and it has a nice atmosphere. our children didn't join in with the entertainment but there seemed to be a lot going on all of the time.
all in all a good hotel and resort if you just want to slob and be chilled.

Excellent!!! this hotel is very enjoyable, especially for families with children. The staff were always polite and keen to talk to you. The animation team were excellent, really energetic throughtout the whole day. Daytime activities always kept you smiling, there was aquafit, rifle shooting and cocktail games for the adults and waterpolo, crazygolf and kids club for the children! The food was good, a mixture of meats, vegetables and puddings everyday. At night the entertainment started with the kids mini disco, where the kids enjoyed learning the dances to songs and meeting the mascot 'FLIPPO!' Then there was bingo followed by the main show. The shows varied from acrobats, battle of the sexes, tribute acts and many more. On arrival into the room i found that it was clean and spacious, the bathroom was big and bright, the only fault was that the toilet leaked, this was reported and dealt with within an hour!!! We visited the beach a few times, nice sea and sand. The hotel itself was brilliant, it was just a shame that it was in the middle of nowhere, it takes 20 minutes to get to Mahon where all the shops were. All in all this holiday was one of the best ive had, id recommend it to all ages!!!

First of all i must say that the beach is lovely, the location is fantastic overlooking a beautiful bay and the sea is very warm with numerous sealife. They are the positive things about the holiday. We travelled to the Aguamarina with Thomas Cook for a family holiday with two adults and two children aged 14 and 11 on arrival we entered the smallest room ever with an unswept floor and very dated bunk beds with matresses that didn`t fit. Trying to be positive we opened the door to the balcony which had 2 old chairs and no table, the floor also covered in sand. The bathroom was also old and dated with dirty grout and a rusty sink tap and of course a dirty floor. There was one hard pillow each and when we asked for another we were sent a folded blanket each in a pillowcase. We decided to live with this and carried on with our holiday until on day 9 of our 2 week holiday we still had the same bed sheets that had been made every day rather then changed and a uncleaned bath with a blocked plug hole full of hairs, so we were sleeping in dirty beds and on top of that i had to get a sweeping brush from the maid as i could`nt stand the floor any more so swept it myself. On asking our so called rep why the sheets wern`t changed and the bath wasn`t cleaned and the floor wasn`t swept he replied i can only put it down th human error!! very unhelpful!! and he didn`t care only interested in you if you were buying over priced excursions. We have been to 12 other countries and are not snobs just a normal working family. We just wanted a clean bed and room! Staff were awful and unfriendly, snatching plates etc, food was basic and deep fried with very little choice, not even a glass of water with your evening meal, bad entertainment, mostly performed by reps mimeing to a backing track. This is not a 3 star hotel! please do not waste your money, go somewhere else. The whole island is over priced and the people don`t seem to want you there. If you think this hotel is ok may i suggest you travel the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot say enough about this hotel, it was fantastic. The activities during the day were endless for kids to adults. Evening entertainment is brilliant too, with the kids mini disco then the evening show & every night there is a film on in the in door bar for the kids to watch while you enjoy the show. All staff are very friendly & work so so hard all day. The hotel is spotless as there is always someone cleaning up. Pools are great especially the baby pool for the small kiddies. The food was also great every night, my daughter is 20months old & I never struggled to get her something to eat at night. Highly recommended & we are booking up for next year for sure. Honestly no matter what age your kids are they will have a blast at this hotel.

Fantastic - I have to agree with the previous reviewer - a brilliant place for families - loads to do for both adults and kids - very friendly and helpful staff, good, if a little cheesy, entertainment - but great for kids - its great learning the 4 dances you do every night !! we met some friends staying down the road who preferred to come to our hotel in the evening !
The resort is quiet, a few bars that's about it - but that meant no yobbos. beach is great - sheltered, gently shelving - sun beds on beach a bit pricey - but apart from that fantastic. Going again next year !!

What can I say.......Gorgeous! I have to say after reading some of the reviews I was a little worried. For my husband, myself and our little 3 year old boy it really was the perfect resort, hotel, location etc. The staff were really helpful & the hotel was spotless. We stayed in Block A and the views to the beach which I might add was a stones throw away were just wonderful. Great views from the restaurant and the food was yummy. Always hot, a vast selection for the children and a stone heavier wishing I could endulge in a cooked breakfast once more! All in all this was a truly wonderful resort. If you looking for somewhere to escape with a fabulous beach, wonderful pools, great entertainment for the kids & parents with a scattering of local bars (great tapa's in the Jappi bar!) then this is the place for you. We will be booking again for next year and hopefully look forward to seeing a few friendly faces! In the meantime i'm counting down the days!!

hi weve just returned from agua marina and although i was extremley aprehensive about going after reading some bad review. i have to say to those people TOSH!
we were in block b and it looked not much different from the other
the food was the same etc... the room was air conditioned and we hired a fridge for about 22 euros of which you get 6 back on return.
we had an absolutley fab time there. first time abroad with our son (5) who loved it .. the hotel was spotlessley clean, the rooms athough a little small were clean and comfortable, the maids seem to be constanly cleaning!!!the food was fresh, the staff were on the whole pleasent and helpfull. there are 3 pools one of which is a kiddies one and a jacuzzie (adults only) the beach was real close and fab! especially for children.
entertainment for adults and kiddies at night and also clubs for both to join in the day.
the resort its self is quiet which we loved and one night we walked to goody goody which is located the other end of the beach absolutley fab for kids , bouncy castel, trampolines etc....
i would however recomend you purchase a umberella ( aprox 8 euros) which you can use by the pool or beach.
and enjoy!
